Skeeter? A CNN Journalist Did a Segment Insinuating Obama’s Lying About His Shooting

If there are truthers and birthers, should there now be a new term for those who are doubting President Obama’s claim that he goes skeet shooting “all the time”? And should that term be “skeeters”? If so, count CNN’s rising young star Erin Burnett among the gadflies.

During a segment on Monday night, Burnett took over two minutes to dissect the president’s shooting claim — and she found it wanting.

“Obama the skeet shooter,” she began. “Yeah, I’m not making this up. I mean, if someone is, it isn’t me.”

She then played the clip of CNN’s Jessica Yellin confronting Press Secretary Jay Carney on the comments, repeatedly asking if a picture of the activity existed and why no one had ever heard of him doing it before.

Burnett then turned to a panel where she said there’s “skepticism” among conservatives and non-conservatives about the president’s claim.

“So, now you’re going to say you do it all the time, don’t you have to kind of prove it?” she asked.

Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher wasn’t impressed: “Such speculation is to be expected from a deranged partisan, but not from a journalist. She owes him an apology.”

    Donald Trump should add this to his 5 Million dollar charity offer. The one Obama ignores about his College transcripts. Obama must hate poor people because he won’t help them get some needed charity money.

    In 2011 in this country there were *32,367 fatalities related to Automobile Accidents. I would suppose then by the Anti Gun Logic that is running around this country. We NEED TO BAN AUTOMOBILES!
    The argument (to ban Assault weapons) is so obviously flawed that it is laughable.

    After seeing how Obama throws a baseball and swings a golf club. I can only imagine how comical he looks holding a shotgun much less firing it. It is not surprising pictures of the event do not exist. According to Dana Perino, the Camp David skeet range was always crowded during the Bush years. Somehow, I do not think the Obama crew are skeet happy.

    That statement right there is what is wrong with the media today. To be a journalist is to be skeptical of all you hear. It’s a journalist’s job to hunt down the facts and report on such. What we have today are talking muppets, passing off self fel latio for journalism.

    The whole idea that our Glorious Leader would lie to us and mislead us in any way is totally offensive to my delicate sensibilities! I’ve heard that the only reason that he isn’t on the US Shooting Team’s skeet shooting squad is that he doesn’t want to take the place of some young up and coming shooter.

    Why I’ve even heard that he has the skeets he’s shot collected and delivered to the White House chef so that they can be prepared for lunch of dinner, depending on their number. I’ve heard that skeets are excellent when prepared in a cream sauce and served with wild rice. Yum, yum!

    That was sarcasm for any progresso-commies who might be here.

    You know where the fly landed during the last Whitehouse conference. Flies go to pooh, and “O’s” living proof of this. The fly had the entire room to work, but he choose the president. That should speak volumes….. Skeet Shooting? Right….. And you believe he’s really from the USA?
    We’ve been trying to tell ya, but you but the libs made certain he got into office….. Now you can kiss your royal dollars goodbye and our country.     I used to shoot skeet, but believing that you should eat what you kill…….I had to stop.

    No matter how my wife cooks them, the skeet are crunchy, gritty, and almost inedible.
