Not many, even members of the Jewish community worldwide, are familiar with the fact that countries across the Middle East and North Africa once housed prospering and long-standing Jewish communities. In a previous article, TheBlaze detailed the struggles of the 2,700-year-old Iraqi Jewish community and its exile following the Nazi-inspired Farhud, or pogrom, in the 1941.
Jews have experienced similar persecution, attacks and eventually exile from Syria, Turkey, Morocco, Iran and Egypt as the flames of Islamic supremacy was fanned by the Nazis. What few know is that the Muslim Brotherhood was always right there in the thick of it.
Egyptian history professor Khaled Fahmi confirmed this fact during a January 3 interview on Al-Nahar TV in which he stated that the Muslim Brotherhood “bears much of the responsibility for the fleeing of the Jews from Egypt.”
“All the writings of the Muslim Brotherhood,” Fahmi began in a segment translated by MEMRI.
“If you grab a copy of their Al-Nazir newspaper [from the late 1930s], the editor-in-chief of which was Salah Al-Ashmawi, you will see that there were many anti-Jewish articles – articles that did not distinguish between Zionism and the Jews. An article published in 1938 accused the Jews, among many other things… The article was titled ‘The Danger of the Jews to the Islamic and Christian world.”
“It accused the Jews of being the cause of British colonialism in India. It claimed that the real colonialists in India were the Jews, not the British.”
Fahmi confirmed that the blood libel occurred in 1938 and spanned through to the U.N. mandate and the creation of the Jewish State.
“Yes. There were many statements to this effect,” he said.
“The conflict in Palestine also left its mark on Egypt. There were big skirmishes in 1945. The Jewish synagogue in the Mosky neighborhood was burned down, grenades were thrown, grenades were thrown, and people died.”

Jan. 31, 2013 at 4:10pmFor the New Year, before the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty was signed (which led to the 1981 Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood’s assassination of Egypt’s President Sadat, this prophecy was given, January 20, 1978:
“As we have said before — those of the Black September or Palestinian Organization, which has coincided themselves with what you once knew as the Nazi Party, and has financed terrorism throughout the land, these properties and these people carry the mark of the Beast and are that that is in preparation for the coming — as you would say, in the preparation of the Anti-Christ and his reign upon the Earth. The half times are over. Now it shall be one or the other – those who should follow the Anti-Christ, or those who should prepare the way and follow the Christ.
God has seen upon your Earth all these things. And none of these things are new; they are all things we have told you before.”
Thirty-two years later prophecies continue to unfold, as man has not chosen to change his course. Yet, being warned, we could change it anytime we wish, for our Father gives man free will. Yet, when the Muslim Brotherhood returned from 30-year exile, Morsi became Egypt’s President last summer, and guides the Palestinian terrorist organization, Hamas, in hatred against Israel. http://www.angelfire.com/in4/aup_messiah/1978January20.audio.html

Jan. 30, 2013 at 5:14pmFinally, a muslim scholar worth the title “scholar.” An honest man is hard to find.
There were more Jews displaced fm North Africa and the Middle East during this period than there were Arabs displaced fm Israel. Many had lived there since AD 135 when Rome drove many out of Jerusalem. Others had been there far longer as Hellenized Jews after Alexander conquered the region.
The real sin is how the Arabs have been consistently treated by their own home countries. They are pawns not people to the Syrians, Egyptians, Iraqis, etc. Many were simply guest workers for the Brits during their mandate after WW1. They came fm Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Egypt looking for work.
When Israel was created, Israel offered them full citizenship; however neighboring Arab countries told them a different story. Arab neighbors told them to sell to the Jews, then once Arab armies had swept the Jews into the sea in 1948, they could return to their homes they had just sold. You cannot have your cake and eat it, too; but nobody told the departing Arabs that.
The Arabs remaining in Israel who took up citizenship do well. There remain others in Judea and Samaria who wish to defy the offer. Instead, they took up rocks, Molotov cocktails, and other weapons to try and drive the Jews into the sea. Those will cont. to fail to drive Jews out of their home land.

Nothing on that site has anything to do with the recreation of the nation of Israel in a place where it has been for nearly 3000 years. Claims by Palestinians – again, a term that didn’t even exist before the Roman occupation – to the contrary are absolutely false. Romans identified the inhabitants of the Middle East as either Palestinian Jew or Palestinian Arab.
As mentioned in the article, there were large Jewish populations in Babylon (Iraqi), Persia (Iran), the Ottoman Empire (Turkey), the Assyrian empire (Syria), and even in Egypt after the Exodus (not all of them left with Moses and some went back). These populations lived in relative harmony, even during the Crusades, with Chrisitans and Arabs and even the Muslims after they united the area under Islam during and after the Crusades.
Up until the 1920′s and 1930′s, there was peace in the Middle East based on religious belief. It was only after the Nazis invaded and co-opted the Muslims to believe their “extermination” theories did the hostilities begin.
That is regardless of your website…that is History…

The land of Canaan was promised and given to the children of Israel, so anywhere else is exile in one fashion or other.
To The Jerk — why are Jews treated badly throughout much of Europe and muslim lands? Jealousy. It’s the same reason that Joseph was treated badly by his brothers.

Jan. 30, 2013 at 1:38pmYesterday I happened upon a video of the keynote speech at the January 21, 2013 prayer breakfast. I was astounded that this has gone mainly unnoticed and unreported. The keynote was given by the author of “The Harbinger” Pastor/Rabbi Jonathan Cahn. It can be viewed in it’s entirety at http://www.spiritoftruth.me
Another startling video that I came upon, that everyone must view and pass on is available free online. In it, people are asked various moral questions, one of which is “If you were asked to murder a woman’s husband, this husband was an awful person, and you would get 10 million dollars and never get caught, and all you had to do was slip poison in a drink, would you do it? The answers to this and other questions are profound. Please make this movie viral: http://www.geniusthemovie.com

Jan. 30, 2013 at 2:04pmThe list is huge and your theory is incorrect. A better question would be, “Why did so many nations, from so many different cultures, throughout history, all come to the same conclusion about Jews?”
Is it Jewish behavior, or is it the rest of the world, in generation after generation of different peoples and cultures, where the problem rests? Commonsense leads one to that answer.

And which Jewish behaviors caused this? Was it the behavior of living in secluded, separate, small towns where they don’t bother anyone, spoke their own language, and conducted their own or was it the behavior of interacting with their non-Jewish neighbors, learning to speak the same language, and doing business with them? The fact is Jerk, you could look through history and find the reasons given quite easily but you choose not to because you’d rather just make one up that fits your narrative.
For example, why was it that when the Jews were expelled from Spain in 1492 that they weren’t allowed to take any form of currency or valuables with them? Was it also a coincidence that many within the Spanish ruling class owed money to the Jews? And the stated crime warranting expulsion: trying “to subvert their holy Catholic faith and trying to draw faithful Christians away from their beliefs.” Also, if the Jews were so troublesome, why didn’t the Muslims do anything to expel them when they controlled Spain? Why did Sultan Bayezid II of the Ottoman Empire invite the Jewish exiles in? Also, Spain expelled its Muslim population as well around the same time. What was their crime.
The simple fact Jerk is that historically Jews lived in area only if the ruler decided to allow it. The idea of Jews having residence, citizenship, or even rights is less than 300 years old.

And how did the Nazis do so well? By murdering unproductive members of society, abolishing any notion of freedom, and waging war. Countries often experience economic upswing during times of war due to high demand and motivation. In other words, fascism. Fascism does indeed often lead to economic growth but its through brute force not by encouraging innovation. There’s a reason why when Hitler was trying to build the biggest, fastest planes he could, the British were inventing radar systems that made them easy to intercept. It’s kind of like how Rome built the Coliseum using the techniques developed by the Greeks but failed to make any significant advances in mathematics.
Also, I really don’t think Hitler was as concerned with the retributions that had bankrupted the country so having those off the table would have helped.

You do not make sense. The Holocaust began in 1933 when Hitler became chancellor and ended in 1945 when the war in Europe ended. So Hitler wouldn’t have control in the 5 years prior to the Holocaust, and therefore could not have removed anyone from power. In addition, Germany was never at the top by any means during that time period. They were weak from political instability and social unrest, especially since their defeat in WWI, and they were economically depressed. Had Hitler not been so paranoid and threatened by so many successful and talented Jews and opponents, perhaps Germany could have risen to the top instead of having a horrific Holocaust. It is possible that you still believe in the outdated nazi propaganda used at that time. I have some news for you… propaganda = lies.

umm…Israel actually TOOK IN the Palestinian refugees that those bastions of freedom and democracy and tolerance (Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Turkey) KICKED OUT. One of the reasons the US and Britain used the newly formed UN to create the new Israel was because after the Holocaust, Jews were trying to reconnect and re-establish their own home. The area, known as Palestine since about 70 B.C. when the Romans named the region that (the region included all of current Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and parts of Egypt, Iraq, and Turkey) has no history before the Roman occupation of the Middle East.
The first nation of Israel was established about 1300-1200 B.C. after the Exodus lead by Moses and the reuniting of the descendents of Esau and Jacob in the land of Canaan.
Back to 1948…the USA, Britain, and the UN created Israel for the returning Jews and carved out the borders of Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and the Sinai because of all the infighting among the people of the region and all of those countries KICKING out this subset of refugees they deemed unwanted, lower class, and not of their nationality…not PURE enough as it were, Nazism at work for you.
Immediate conflicts broke out…Israel won…and again in the 1950′s and 60′s to finally get the present borders..and after winning STILL accepted all these refugees FREELY into their borders..

Jan. 30, 2013 at 5:27pmVRW — Moses did NOT unite Esau w/Jacob at all. Esau, aka Edom, was a mortal enemy of Jacob during the Exodus and conquest of the land of Canaan. For that and other sins, Edom was obliterated by the Assyrians, who obliterated just about everyone in the region. Only Judah survived — as a vassal. Then even Judah was ransacked (by the neo-Babylonians rather than Assyria) for failing to keep Torah, esp regarding human sacrifice and ignoring the Sabbaths.

Jan. 30, 2013 at 5:04pmJerk — Sarah was not “pimped out” by Abraham to Pharaoh. It was common custom in his day to use th euphemism “sister” for “wife.” It is also clearly explained in the text that Abraham instead of trusting God’s protection, used “sister” to protect himself fm being murdered and having Sarah taken into the harem.
Abraham and Sarah would also trust in their own cleverness in giving Hagar to Abraham as a concubine to create a child.
IN both cases, God had to tidy up the mess. Part of the point of retelling Abraham’s mistakes is to show that he was just as real and human as the rest of us. Part of the point is to show us that God can fix what we think is forever broken. God can take your mess and make it right for you in some recognizable way for you, when you love Him and turn to Him. God forgives and love Abraham and Sarah, but He does permit them to live w/the fruit of their folly – Hagar and Ishmael.
Their descendant David is like them, too. His folly was Bathsheba. He was forgiven but made to live w/the consequences of that sin.
Abraham is the father of Jews and Christians, for his faith and ultimate obedience to God Almighty. Muslims claim him on Hagar and Ishmael’s account; however, Allah is not a god of grace but of fury.
