You Decide: Is This Anti-Gun Tweet Something You’d Expect From a National News Organization?

While no one would attempt to argue that MSNBC is an unbiased news network, they are a news organization either way. That’s why some Twitters users were a little thrown off when MSNBC’s official Twitter account advocated so transparently against firearms.

“Do you know where your $$ is? Maybe it’s invested in the #gun business. Use your wallet to support #gunlimits,” the network tweeted on Thursday, linking to a story about that same topic.

After reading the first portion of the tweet, it’s pretty obvious what MSNBC is saying. However, the network doubles down and encourages its viewers to support “gun limits” by making sure none of their money is supporting gun manufacturers, as if none of them could possibly be pro-gun.

Perhaps more entertaining than the actual tweet were some of the responses that come from Twitter users afterwards (Warning! Some strong language):

Contact your state legislator and encourage them to approach the various arms and ammunition manufacturers to move their business to your state. Contact you local bank and ask them to approach these manufacturers and encourage them to move their money to locally owned banks. If union pension funds start shedding shares in these companies, encourage your pension fund to buy them up. ACT!

I checked the daily listing for msnbc provided by my cable co. and noted only 1 hr. devoted to strictly news. Every hr. before and after had the word Analysis listed. This network is opinion with a dash of so-called news.

We say who has been drinking the Kool-Aid about politicians now we can add the media to that comment. If you have paid attention to the media over the past 10 years or so they have become more liberal and some of their comments are on the verge of being labeled Treason. There has been at least one media outlet or reporter in the past couple of weeks who have said we need to stop following the Constitution. The only way we have of striking back at the media is to stop watching them and to stop using the products locally made, and notify the manufacturers why we are stopping using their products.

Yes, MSLSD is just a propaganda arm of the 0lbama WH, right down to editing tapes to lie to viewers.

Maybe they haven’t noticed but people ARE voting with their feet and wallets: gun sales continue off-the-charts, and even more telling concealed carry classes are booked solid for weeks or MONTHS. Americans have decided they must be responsible for their own safety, and that’s a good thing!

Challenge to MSNBC:

Present every Bill or Act provisioning tax payers money as an entitlement, excuse me I meant subsidy (since money going to the oober rich and members of Congress is not called an entitlement) to weapons manufacturers, distributors and re-sellers.

Frankly, I am more concerned with the fact that the person occupying the Oval Office, his sheeple minions and all of the Senate (save a mere 19 Republicans) authorized the sale of F-16′s and tanks to EGYPT. Isn’t that funding terrorism? Isn’t that a violation of the Patriot Act? Isn’t that a violation of the very law that dictates Congress has to abide by the same laws they pass?

Place a gun, a knife, and a baseball bat on a table. Not one of these inanimate objects will perform an act of violence. You have to add the ‘human element’. China is behind the UN global gun ban…which the US Congress will not sign. Is obama pushing China’s ban here ? China has great control over us due to our debt and our continuing ‘more money please’ plea to them.

Historically the press has had some sway on national policy. WR Hearst’s newspapers managed to get a phony war started vs. Spain over what probably was a bunker explosion and certainly was not a mine or torpedo when the USS Maine exploded in Cuba. The problem that most of the posters here have is that they mostly don’t agree with the press. Too bad! You have Fox News and it’s “Fair and Balanced.” I know that the news is biased. That’s why I come on here to see what the crazy conservatives (certainly NOT most of the posters here) are up to. If anyone is watching MSNBC for real news they’re making a mistake. As for tweets…who cares?

It is said that the PEN is mightier than the sword. If that is indeed true, then I want to make a suggestion. The 1st and 2nd amendments are equally guaranteed under the Constitution. It could be argued, “that shall not be infringed,” puts even more emphasis on securing the 2nd amendment because it maybe needed to make the 1st a certainty.

Therefore when each liberal media person and all other speakers who spout gun control are made to go through a background check, to make sure they have not been fraternizing with any enemies foreign or domestic nor have put any life and or freedoms at risk, then they can SPEAK. Oh, but only a 150 word pieces twice a week.

Don’t they understand that we are trying to create heaven on earth? Anyone who opposes us is opposing heaven itself- it’s immoral to disagree with us! We can’t erase all illness, etc., but we CAN make sure everyone has health insurance. There is a shortage of Dr.s and it takes years to train more. We won’t be able to keep up with the demand, &since we are trying to keep a lid on costs students may not pick it as a first choice… Still, we can be sure the health system is fair to everyone by adding waiting periods so that everyone sees a Dr…. eventually. That’s fair, right?
We CAN have peace on earth. If we disarm ourselves, people who want to kill or conquer us will be inspired to cast away their own weapons when they realize that they have nothing to fear from us. It didn’t work in Chicago or DC because we only succeeded in getting the guns from the people who cooperated with us, and we only limited it to a small area. We need to go national to make this work.
We can make heaven a place on earth if we can just get 300+ million people to do as we say. One way or another we have to get them to eat/drink what we approve of ( regulations for school lunches & soda laws), talk the way we want (PC) buy what we say ( policies that meet requirements we designed) NOT buy things we disapprove of (guns) & follow all our laws and reg. (40,000 new ones through the fed register last year- ignorance of the law is no excuse.)

  How dare our political opponents make accurate predictions of negative real world consequences of our laws and policies ( like Obamacare)? Why if they keep on like this, some of the less informed members of the public may get the impression that we don’t know what we are doing. We are the intelligentsia, of COURSE we know best!
  
  I actually heard someone accuse us of inflicting faith-based economics on the country. Obviously, he is ignorant of economics. He is also ignorant of my faith- I’m an atheist! I have faith in Gov. not GOD. The government should be doing more to help the economy. Everyone I talk with agrees with me, (and those who don’t must be insane). Therefore, I am right. If you don’t agree, you should be pitied, and if possible kept quiet, until we find a cure for your disorder.
