Piers Morgan Claims Armed Guard Was Not Able to Stop Atlanta School Shooting

An armed guard successfully disarmed a 14-year-old shooter who had opened fire at an Atlanta middle school on Thursday. Thanks to the courageous off-duty school resource officer, only one student was shot and no one was killed.

Yet CNN host Piers Morgan on Friday argued that the armed guard, an unidentified off-duty Atlanta police officer, “was NOT able to stop” the Atlanta school shooting, apparently because the teen shooter was able to shoot just one student before he was stopped.

“REVEALED: Armed guard was NOT able to stop Atlanta school shooting,” Morgan posted via his official Twitter account. He then linked to a story with a headline that completely contradicted his questionable claim. “Armed guard disarmed teen in Atlanta school shooting, says police chief,” the headline read.

Morgan, a particularly vocal supporter of strict gun control in the U.S., has been against the National Rifle Association’s proposal of putting armed guards in schools across the country from the get-go. It seems that the CNN host was unwilling to admit that armed guards can — and did in this instance — prevent mass school shootings from occurring. There is no telling how tragic Thursday’s shooting could have been had that armed guard not been in the building.

Several Twitter users, including best-selling author Brad Thor, were quick to call out Morgan’s obvious bluff.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

Why do I get the feeling that Piers and the State Run Media would have been more pleased had children at this school been viciously murdered so that they could have stood confidently upon the claim that the presence of the armed guard made no difference whatsoever?

Newsflash to Piers: the armed guard was physically present and made a greater contribution to stopping the attack than either Sen. Feinstein’s “gun-free” zone or the school’s metal detector. You see, those intent on doing harm do not allow the law to impede their agenda. I’m sure you understand Piers because the laws against phone hacking in Britain didn’t stop you either!

Please find a country that wants you and leave at the earliest opportunity; because, neither Britain, nor the USA from your show ratings, fit that bill.

Why do I get the feeling that pMORON would have preferred a couple of deaths before the armed guard stopped the incident. Is it because it would have furthered his cause. Progressives, remember justifiy the means for the end result. They will not be satisfied until only the crooks and the government have guns! Was there some reduncancy in that statement?

Piers seems happy that someone got shot while an armed guard was present so he could say something to the effect of, “See armed guards do not prevent people getting shot”. In my opinion, this is the sign of a very disturbed individual who is pleased someone got injured so he can justify his position. I will start recording this jerks show so I can see the commercials. I will not buy products from anyone who supports this man’s show.

Even a 3 year-old has more reading / listening comprehension and logic / reasoning skills than the smarmy Piers Morgan. His “logic” is so tortuously twisted that a dozen tangled-up skeins of yarn is easier to follow. He reached a conclusion long before hearing or reading any facts (which appears to be de riguer for Progressives, leftists, and so many others of the liberal persuasion). Following his”reasoning” to it’s logical conclusion, the armed guard would have had to shoot the perpetrator BEFORE the guy ever fired his weapon. It would be unsurprising if Morgan would have preferred the ending of the situation to have been another mass murder, since that (in his mind) would support his conclusion that banning guns is the solution.

    a shot was fired wasn’t it ?
    ———————————————
And if a shot had not been fired then what would your argument be? “The kid still had a gun”

Anything to try to prove that an armed guard on the school’s property actually didn’t do much good and is therefore not needed and guns are still bad.

Like AVENGERK said, you’re just moving the goal post.

Here is the thing – Piers Morgan believes that only the government can be responsible to keep people safe. He doesn’t believe that a person has the responsibility to protect themselves because he has rejected that right and notion for himself.

The problem is the police can’t be everywhere at all times, and it usually takes 5 to 10 minutes for the police to arrive once you’ve called them. In an emergency where an armed person is breaking into your house you have 15 to 30 seconds to act. You barely have time to call the police, let alone for them to get there in time to save your life.

But the proof is in the puddin’. Can you sue the police for wrongful death if your loved one called them and they didn’t show up in time to save them? No, you can’t. Why? Because the Police are not responsible to protect you – you are responsible to protect yourself.

But self protection is only one use of guns. The real reason for the 2nd amendment is a check and a balance against tyranny. It is a safety-net built into the constitution by the founders to insure our government never tries to take away our inalienable rights.

Morgan is unable to divorce himself from his European Socialistic dependence on government. He doesn’t trust the people with weapons, even though the vast majority of them can indeed be trusted.

You can only stop what has started Piers, if he “stopped” the shooting before the child was able to squeeze off a round then the headlines in the press would read “Armed guard PREVENTS shooting in Atlanta schhol”

See the difference? Of course you don’t – it doesn’t fit your narrative.

Maybe we need stricter gun laws? It is already illegal for that child to have a gun, let alone take it to school and fire it.

Maybe we need metal detectors at schools? The shooter in this case got his already illegal gun past the metal detectors.

Maybe we need armed guards at schools? Because the armed off-duty policeman working as a school resource officer WAS ABLE to subdue the shooter before he was able to squeeze out a second shot.

So it seems gun regulations, metal detectors don’t work, but armed guards do.

I wonder how large the clip was on the security officer’s weapon was – is this a case of a person with what the left classifies as an assault weapon stopping a shooter?

Morgan isn’t exactly wrong, the kid got shot in the neck! Now the off duty guy might have prevented further shooting. But in general (not for kids in school) that’s precisely why we need the right to bear arms because we can’t count on the police to be there to prevent everything. Police can go after perpetrators but not after the deed has already been done, so we need to be able to protect ourselves from the deed from being done. I’m not one to willing to wait to tell you I told you so.

Option 1: Pliers simply invisions a society (ours) with no guns and that’s the only way shootings are prevented.

Option 2: In reality, bad guys and gals get guns and shoot people with those guns and guns in the hands of good guys and gals can quickly put down a mortal threat brought on by the bad people.

Option 3: A third option I guess, which Pliers also seemingly prescribes to, is for good guys and gals to shoot people before those people become bad people.

Option 2 is the only option I prescribe to.

    Piers Morgan-”Journalist”.

5/14/2004-Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan has been sacked after the newspaper conceded photos of British soldiers abusing an Iraqi were fake. The BBC’s Nicholas Witchell said it appeared Piers Morgan remained unrepentant right to the end “According to one report Mr Morgan refused the demand to apologise, was sacked and immediately escorted from the building,” he said.

I been watching Piers Morgan a lot on these gun issues and I tried to give him all the benefit of a doubt. What a waste of time!! No doubt he is bias!! Piers Morgan just as bad as these MNSBC idiots with their edited videos. I am searching and looking for the facts without biases and common ground. Surely, I can’t honestly find on Mr. Morgan and MSNBC because in my view they lost all credibility and frustrated with them.. These people are very dangerous to the second amendment rights, espeicallly when they can’t get their facts straights and distorting them. sheesh!!!
