A 70-year-old women’s high school basketball coach shot and killed one would-be mugger and injured another while walking two players to their cars Friday night in Detroit, WXYZ-TV reported.
Police said the coach, who has not been named, was approached by two teens who tried to rob him in the parking lot of Martin Luther King High School as he walked with two girls around 7:30 p.m, WDIV-TV reported. One of the attackers died and the other was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Sources told WXYZ the coach was also a reserve police office with a license to carry a concealed pistol. One of the teens was also armed with a gun.
According to WDIV, both teens were students at the high school, though the one who died had recently been expelled.

Feb. 3, 2013 at 1:12pmIt is a shame that one of these kids had to die, but that comes with the act. I am sickened by the supposed “new caster” that this is somehow unexplainable! What part of the universe does she live in? It is quite easily explainable. Let me help. Two young thugs, come to rob three people, one of whom they did not know was armed. One of these thugs tells them to give up their stuff, waves a gun around, the coach who is armed, pulls his weapon and fires on the two young thugs. One is killed, and the other wishes he had not even shown up. The news people come out to tell the story, that is way above their pay grade, becasue it does not fit the Obama agenda, which is the News Company’s agenda, which is the News Anchors agenda, and thus the confusion.
Now, I’m sure they (the news broadcaster in the area) are trying to figure how to spin the story to get the attention off these kids and on to the coach as being the “perp” here. They may even have MSNBC come and help them “alter” the broadcast to fit the agenda of most herewith concerned.

At this rate the city will be cleaned up in no time if every law abiding citizen was able to carry protection. Maybe the tragedy is that this incident didn’t fit the going fraud against gun ownership the media is pushing!

I guess the anti-gun clowns would either have him lay down and died or duke it out. I’m no spring chicken and if I was in the same scenario I’d have done the same thing. The only difference is they’d both be dead.
