George Soros Says He Donated to Pro-Obama Super PAC With ‘Great Reluctance’

Soros Fund Management Chairman George Soros speaks during a panel discussion at the Nicolas Berggruen Conference in Berlin, Germany, Oct. 30, 2012. (Photo: AP)
Billionaire investor and political activist George Soros was speaking with CNN Money in Davos, Switzerland when he said he donated over $1 million to a pro-Obama super PAC with “great reluctance.”
CNN interviewer Poppy Harlow noted that Soros has been vocal about his opposition to Citizens United, which opened the door to super PACs, asking: “Did you just sort of throw up your hands and say, well, if this is the law of the land, if the other side is doing it, I’m going to do it as well?”
Soros replied: “Well, [I donated] with great reluctance, because I think that Citizens United has really unleashed an unlimited amount of money into the political system, which is very, very unfortunate. But you have to live with it.”
Soros openly added that he “compromised” his principles in making the donation, but said it was excusable because money doesn’t decide elections; it just helps mobilize the electorate.
The two then turned to wealth disparity, Harlow asking whether Soros thinks “enough has been done” to address the “growing wealth gap” in the United States.
According to Soros, the “principle now is accepted” that the super-rich, like himself, should pay more.
“Since you cannot grow the total pie, because of this deleveraging,” Soros concluded, “if you could have a more equitable distribution of the pie, then the large number of people could actually see an improvement in their living standards.”

He was convicted in France of insider trading and he does in a way that is hard to trace. One article on the internet I have found claims that he get some of his followers in his beliefs into positions of power in the economy sectors he is targeting. When he feels the time is right he gets on the news and makes innocuous statements which are coded ways to flip the switches of his project on and just sits back an makes a profit of his leveraging of a region/country’s economy.
He did this with the British Pound Sterling in 1990′s.

He is part of the reason why Obama has been able to “fundamentally transform” Amerika in just 4 years time. People like him and other members of the tribe that are using the media and Hollywood they own and control to brainwash people 24/7………including “useful idiots” that think Judens are on their side when in fact, they vote straight Democratic 87% of the time. Posted on February 2, 2013 at 7:39pmSoros strategy is simple,,
Bankrupt and crush currencies through debt expansion by promoting unsustainable progressive/socialist policies..
This debt causes inflation, which is a redistribution of wealth from earners/savers to assets. the super wealthy get their wealth from asset price inflation, NOT earned income, this is why most all the billionaires promote the left, not for ideological reasons, but for power and wealth. They know that Leftist policies drive up assets (they own) and destroy currencies.
This destroys the wealth of the very people that the Left claims to defend…

Posted on February 2, 2013 at 8:24pmActually Citizens United wasn’t about allowing corporations like Exxon to donate to campaigns, it was to allow organizations that are incorporated like the NRA to donate to campaigns. Under the McCain/Feingold silence conservatives, err I mean campaign finance reform act, organizations like MoveOn.org and others could run ads containing lies up until and on election day, while incorporated organizations such as the NRA had to stop running ads 60 days prior to the election. Basically because the NRA didn’t incorporate as a 501(c)3 when it incorporated a century before, they would be silenced while the liberal pacs that were incorporated as 527s were allowed to run any ad that they wanted, including false ones, until the very end. Now how fair does that seem? Let’s see, allow a few thousand libs to lie, while stifling an organization with millions of members from telling the truth. Yes, I can see how the liberals think that’s fair.

Posted on February 2, 2013 at 8:30pmHey Keaton, the Citizens United decision wasn’t about allowing Exxon to donate to campaigns, it was about allowing organizations like the NRA to run political ads in the same manner that liberal 527 pacs do. When a group with a few thousand members is allowed to run fraudulent ads until election day, but an organization with millions of members have to stop running ads months before, how is that fair to the millions of voters who are members of the MUCH larger organization? Why should MoreOn.org be allowed to run ads on election day, but the NRA have to stop 60 days earlier.

Take your money and spend it normally–own multiple houses, collect cars, use your private aircraft–and don’t forget to hire ALL THE PEOPLE that you would need to ENJOY YOUR LAVISH LIFESTYLE! When things move along within the realm of rational behavior, the cream rises to the top! But, when one turns the economy upside down, the s4!t rises to the top!
