Niqab-Wearing Assailant Reportedly Attacks Victoria’s Secret Employee With Acid…in London

The world is horrified every time the victim of an “acid attack” speaks out, stunned that anyone could be so full of rage that they’d leave a family member or complete stranger incapacitated and disfigured for the rest of their lives.

Though they have been reported from South America to Russia, acid attacks have been at an all time high in Pakistan for the past several years, most often as a form of revenge or punishment for so-called immodest behavior.

Now, it seems a young woman working for Victoria’s Secret in London has become the most recent victim.  According to British media, 20-year-old Naomi Oni was ambushed on December 30 while walking home from work, but has just been released from the hospital after roughly a month of surgery and skin grafts.

The London Evening Standard relates:

The store assistant had just got off the bus and was talking to her boyfriend Ato Owede, 23, on her phone when she felt someone walking behind her in Lodge Avenue in Dagenham at around 12.40am.

She said:“I’d been working a late shift and was talking to my boyfriend about what we were going to do for New Year when I saw this Muslim woman wearing a niqab covering her face. I thought it was a bit strange at that time of night, but she didn’t say anything and I kept on walking.

“Then I felt a splash on my face. It burned and I screamed out. I started running and screaming, holding my face, all the way home. I didn’t look back.

“I got home and I was screaming and banging on the door. I was hysterical. Luckily my godmother, who is a pharmacist, was at home with my mum and she helped me and kept dipping my face in water and trying to calm me down until the police and ambulance got there. I was in shock. Saying: ‘Who would do that? Who would do that?’ How could anyone do this?”  ​[Emphasis added]

Oni recently went public with the story, frustrated that police say they haven’t determined a motive or apprehended any suspects.

The young woman gave an interview to the BBC, explaining how she’s coping with the tragedy:

“The first time I looked I was shocked. I didn’t want to live after I saw my face.”

When she first saw herself in the mirror she said: “My head was 10 times the size, my face was black, my eyes were swollen and my eyes were cutting out.

“I thought I was going to go blind: I was terrified.”

Determined to stay positive despite her injuries, she said things could have been much worse.

“That person failed, whatever their aim was they failed.

“God has given me a life for a reason and that’s what keeps me going.”  [Emphasis added]

Oni is the sole provider for her 52-year-old disabled mother, but the whole family has been reluctant to return home, opting instead to stay with friends.

Though she has demonstrated remarkable fortitude and even found new role models like Katie Piper, who was the victim of an acid attack in 2008, Oni knows her life will never be the same.

“I look in the mirror and it just isn’t me…I’ve always been outgoing and confident in my job and in my personal life, used to getting attention for the way I dress or my hair, but now I don’t want anyone looking at me.”

She was planning on studying media and fashion in college this fall, but may no longer be able to.  Oni still has months of skin grafts and plastic surgery to undergo, according to reports, and will still be left with heavy facial scarring.

According to the London Evening Standard, a spokesman for the Scotland Yard said that such attacks are “extremely rare” in the United Kingdom, adding that they are keeping an “open mind” during the investigation.

      Normal humans (non-Muslims) actually are not able to hate to the extent that Muslims hate. That is, a normal person, even if someone were to murder their whole family, would surely hate the perpetrator a great deal, but we are incapable of actually generating the same level of hate in our heart that Muslims have. Only Satan can make people into the vile creatures that Muslims are. Any Muslim who has even a moment’s sanity should run for their life away from Islam even if that means never seeing their family again.

      WOW – fact is, Muhammad accomplished in Arabia what Hitler failed to accomplish in Germany, no Jews. And the Koran actually contains more anti-semitic hate speech than Mein Kampf. You can look up the statistics compiled by Bill Warner of Political Islam. All people hate, and the Nazis surely hated big time, but only Islam generates a level of hate that drives Muslim mothers TO KILL THEIR OWN CHILDREN if they decide they are not going to follow Muhammad and Islam. That is pure sick evil not seen in any other demographic, racial or religious group. There simply is no comparison of the hate in Muslim societies and the destruction it brings to those societies with any other group or people. Also, and this is critical, since the religion of Islam allows Muslims to lie and deceive (Muhammad said Islam is like war) Muslims are able to smile to your face but lie to you at the same time, it is pure hate.

      Whats wrong? Political Correctness. If you don’t like the niqab, you will be called names like Islamophobic and weak people (politicians in particular) cannot handle being named called.

      I agree, she was attacked by a man dressed like a woman. A Muslim woman would not be permitted by her male slave master to be out late especially alone without an escort.

    But this type of attack is so horrific that it really isn’t even right to joke about it. Anyone can imagine the horror of being attacked by a freak Muslim in this manner. Truly unbelievable. The Muslim who did this should be drawn and quartered, in public. Then all the Muslims should be removed from the West.

      WOW – get a clue please, the Inquisition killed at most a few hundred, maybe a few thousand people. There is no comparison to an entire religion that crushes all opposition and kills entire civilizations. In not understanding the truth about Islam you are indeed DEFENDING Islam and that actually makes you a traitor to your own civilization, and to your own god if you have one. If you are not resisting Islam you are giving in to it. There is no middle ground, there is no happy peaceful coexistence with Islam. This woman who had the acid thrown on her face is an archetype of what Islam plans to do to our entire civilization, just as it has done to every single other civilization it has entered. All of those crazy countries you see in the news were normal countries before Islam invaded and took over. Look it up. Sure they fought, sure they had problems, just like everyone does, but they weren’t 99% Muslim with no hope of ever being anything else. All science and learning stopped when Islam took over, all growth stopped. No more art, no more music. Come on, wake up. 80 million Hindus were killed by the Muslims, but you whine about a few hundred killed by the Inquisition!

    The British public will not help themselves. They will not demand that their politicians face this problem squarely. The only political voice is the EDL (English Defence League) and they are labelled racist skinheads and hatemongers. The are accused of violent acts and incitement though they are usually on the receiving end from muslims.

    The British people, and their politicians, must lose their irrational fear of being called racists if they want to save their country from the malais that these pernicious savages visit apon any community in which they are tolerated.

    I believe that they will, too. As a final desperate act of survival…

    does Great Britian, France, or the U. S. receive from allowing muslims into their country. Look at

      Yes, but for about 5 years the French government squelched reporting of the riots in France by Muslims, so it is like a tree falling in the woods where there is no one to hear it. So if it was not reported, it didn’t happen politically & intelligentsia ignore it.

      French President Hollande has only done 2 good things as president, repealed the reporting ban on French riots & engaged the Islamicists in Mali.

      But if Hollande had not ordered French forces into Mali with the blessing of the Malian people, the French would have a good portion of the oil & gas supplies cut. So was it brave &or did he just have his back against the wall?

      France has been approaching a critical point in its civilisation and it had become obvious to everybody – including the left wing that allowed the problem to grow in the first place. To be fair, it is a left-wing leader who is now finally addressing the problem.

      I hope that they stay the course, although it will be a long, expensive, and sometimes bloody fight.

      Sarkozy forbade the reporting of the riots including the infamous car burnings. I don’t think it was so much a law, then the threat that government could make life difficult for the media.

      The non reporting allowed our media & U.S. liberals to throw around the charge of Islamophobia.

      To his credit President Hollande has rescinded that policy & early on. I think his approach will be a combination of community engagement (jobs & investment ) & policing. I don’t think it will work even though he means well. I don’t think he can deliver on the jobs.

    The police mindful of politicians & the liberals will say they are looking for an Asian suspect.

    So are they looking for someone from East Asia, south East Asia or South Asia?

    If they admit that the perpetrator is of South Asian original. will they further identify them as Indian or Pakistani?

    We can always implicitly & explicitly trust that liberals will come with an euphemism, phrase or category that obfuscates or deflects form the truth.

    If the police even bother to look for the lunatic that will be a miracle since the UK is already Islamized.
    The UK could use some vigilantes to deal with their Muslim problem since their government sold them out. An acid bath for the attacker seems just to me.

    Obviously, the acid thrower had a difference of opinion, and voiced it the only way he/she knew how – maybe he/she couldn’t speak the Queen’s English…

    We must learn to accept the way the people from different cultures react to certain stimuli; I mean, they’re just people, Pu-leez…

    I was speaking with someone in the military about the growing problem of muslims taking over everywhere and what the solution would be and he replied nothing short of death. They are never going to change and will take a mile when you give them an inch. Not a great outlook.
