Feminist icon and activist Gloria Steinem doesn’t much care for Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

“He personally will go down in history as an authoritarian — a dictatorial, unacceptable American,” the 78-year-old Steinem told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Friday.

She said the Republican governor and former presidential candidate has made a lasting mark by overseeing recent efforts to have Planned Parenthood funding cut off in the state.

Women are “suffering from the lack of healthcare” because of Perry’s actions and the federal dollars lost to Texas because of him, Steinem added.

She told the newspaper Texans should “dis-elect him, get rid of him, get rid of the guy.”

“Can’t you impeach him?” she asked.

It’s not the first time Steinem has criticized Perry — in 2011, she referred to him, Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann all as “people our founders came to this country to escape.”

Women are “suffering from the lack of healthcare”. NO woman are suffering from these immoral people talking about freedom of choice when they really are talking about murdering their children.

Lets take the argument back. When someone asks, “Are you for a woman’s right to choice? Ask them, “What you are asking is, “Are my for a woman’s right to kill their baby?” That’s the choice, Choose wisely. If you don’t want a baby, perhaps you shouldn’t be having sex, until you can live with the consequences of your actions.

Where will our young men and women be, when they realize it not a choice for woman right to choose, but a choice to murder a baby.

And by the way, Planned Parenthood DOES NOT provide healthcare. Call them and ask for a mammogram? They will tell you they can refer you to another facility.

We REALLY DO HAVE TO WAKE UP, before its too late.

I’m an old “fem” who grew up unlike this broad and her ilk. Honestly thought she was no longer with us. Who on earth but the most crazed libs even cares what she has to say about anything. Her time has long since come and gone.
As far as gov. Perry is concerned, only wish he’d had more of an opportunity to show his stuff in the ridiculously prolonged GOP primary. He would have been better candidate than Romney IMHO.
Gloria, go to Aspen and dish with Babs Streistand, stay out of our faces. It was you and the other dangerous lefties of the 60′s and early 70′s(my era) that set us up for the mess in which we now find ourselves. Is there a cemetery somewhere in Cuba where this crowd can be buried once they do “move on?”

Rick Perry is, at heart, a “compassionate conservative” in the mold of GWBush. While GWBush was president, Perry proposed things like a tax on twinkies/snack foods, and utilized eminent domain to ram through his toll road projects. Left unchecked, I would never vote for Perry.

However, Obama forces Perry to the right. He’s been much more conservative with Obama in office. So long as Obama remains in office, Perry will continue to govern from the right.

All that said, if Gloria Steinem wants Perry out, he has my vote.

And for those of you wondering why she’s targeting Texas, she and all her liberal friends are salivating over the fact that liberal Californians are fleeing to Texas. She is issuing a call for them to do to Texas what they did in California. Never forget that California used to be Reagan country. It’s hard to remember that now, I know. But they exist as a shining example of conservative values and industry that was destroyed by liberalism and they serve as a warning to all.

  Perhaps, if they are fleeing the once wonderful California the more sane can take it back? Or is it too late, as all that will be left are the abudantly wealthy yet incredibly dopey Hollyweedites and the welfare society, plus the give or take several hundred thousand worthless gov’t employees. Will the escapees try to destroy the saner states they’re desending upon? Time will tell.

Never heard a word come from this woman’s mouth that spoke for me and I forgot hard in the 70s for fair pay and pants in the workplace for women,etc. Planned Parenthood was never anything that the equal rights female ever fought for.
