Considered by many to be the deadliest sniper in U.S. history, legendary Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle recorded 255 kills, 160 officially confirmed by the Pentagon, and served four tours of duty in Iraq. That’s where he reportedly earned the nickname “The Devil of Ramadi” from insurgents.
His longest confirmed shot was from 2,100 yards, or 1.2 miles, when he killed a man armed with a rocket launcher.
Tragically, Kyle was one of two people fatally shot at a shooting range in Erath County, Texas on Saturday, according to several news reports.
Besides being an American hero, you may recognize Kyle’s name from his time on NBC’s reality show “Stars Earn Stripes” in 2012 where he showed off some of the skills he picked up during his time as a Navy SEAL.
Watch Kyle in action and behind the scenes during the show:

Feb. 3, 2013 at 2:32pmHow can someone who murders two people at a gun range get away? Were there no armed people in the vicinity? Did nobody give chase? Why was the 911 call made two hours later? Is there surveillance video? (most ranges of this sort have video cameras pointed at the shooting lanes) Did Chris Kyle actually let someone with a mental defect and a gun get behind him?
MHO & My $0.02
If I was at a shooting range and I saw someone take down two people and run or walk away, I would drop them (low torso, spine, legs etc.) If I missed I would certainly give chase and call 911 immediately. (not two hours later, as is being reported)
Am I being asked to believe that there were no witnesses, that were armed?…at a SHOOTING RANGE??? At a charity event such as this with a HUGE celebrity giving back to his fellow soldiers, am I also being asked to believe that there was no press coverage on scene with cameras rolling???
THIS ALL STINKS like an OBOWELMA MOVEMENT!!!

Feb. 3, 2013 at 1:20pmThis was my first thought too, when I heard the news of the death of Kyle’s death – that Obama had ordered a “Blood Purge” in regards to a potential leader in the Rebel Alliance if civil war breaks out. We do know Dear Leader has ordered the deaths of American citizens already and has a political purge of potential rebels ongoing in the federal government, whose latest victim was Director Sullivan of the U.S. Secret Service. I hope this tragic death is investigated.

Feb. 3, 2013 at 9:31amSomething smells here and bad.
This man’s death was not a random act or coincidental in any way shape or form. He was murdered by one of two entities. Either our own government or agents working for a terrorist organization as retaliation for all those he killed in Iraq. It’s that simple. We will never know the truth however and you can bet that by Thursday this story will be off the news cycle and will fade into history quietly just the way they want it to.
Scary times people, scary times.

Feb. 3, 2013 at 3:45amI’m glad he got out in time to spend time with his wife & children. I think our time to go is predetermined by our God…so I’m glad God laid a path for him to follow which brought him home for awhile…so his children will know what a fine man he was.

Feb. 3, 2013 at 2:50amSure seems like it. Everyday you don’t know where the next mass shooting will take place or what famous person will be killed or what city will have military helicopters buzzing the citizens. Seems like it’s all coming together for something like martial law. In this case, now it will be a mentally ill person having a gun to reinforce gun control. Still really sad this event happened. It’s quite shocking actually.

Feb. 3, 2013 at 8:34amI agree, since the commie got in and they started the fast and furious thing, too many high profile people have been killed. I found it odd that the team who got OBL are now all dead. There is no such thing as coincidence. I don’t care what any one says about people doubting the government. Call us wackos, conspiracy freaks. Only a fool will trust this administration.

Feb. 3, 2013 at 12:38amI really liked Chris Kyle on “Stars Earn Stripes”.
Wish he had been teamed up with Todd Palin.
That would have been one seriously awesome team.
