Homeless Hitchhiker Reportedly ‘Saves the Day’ With a Hatchet After Man Claiming to be Jesus Goes Berserk

It’s a sentence you won’t read every day, or hopefully ever again.  A homeless hitchhiker with a hatchet in California reportedly “saved the day” after a man claiming to be Jesus went berserk and rammed his car into a stranger, before assaulting a woman who ran over to help.

The hitchhiker, identified only as “Kai,” was picked up by the driver shortly before the crash.  He says the man, now identified as Jett Simmons McBride of Tacoma, Washington, was making wild, racist remarks in the car.

“[The driver's] like, ‘You know what? I’ve come to realize I’m Jesus Christ and I can do anything I fu**ing want to and, watch this!” the hitchiker said, relating the McBride’s last alleged comments before striking a Pacific Gas and Electric Worker who was black.

Two women immediately ran over to help, but quickly realized that it was not an accident.

“He just kept saying he’s Jesus Christ and he’s going to save all of us, [but] we have to get– he used the n-word, meaning the black people– and that we need to get them off the earth,” Tonya Baker said.

When they wouldn’t let him get back in his car to inflict more damage, Baker said McBride put her in a “bear hug” and then started “beating the crap” out of her.

“These two women are trying to help them, he runs up and he grabs one of them…like a guy that big can snap a woman’s neck like a pencil stick!”  Kai commented.  “So I f***ing ran up behind him with a hatchet– smash, smash, sa-mash!”

According to KMPH/Fox26, McBride is over 6 feet tall and weighs between 300 and 400 pounds.  Baker credits the hitchhiker with saving her life, and the man struck by McBride’s car is also expected to survive.

“That woman was in danger,” Kai said, defending his actions. “He just finished, what looked like at the time, killing somebody, and if I wouldn’t have done that he would’ve killed more people.”

It probably wasn’t a pretty scene, but everybody seems to have made it out safely.

McBride was taken into police custody on suspicion of attempted murder, the Fresno Bee relates, and his bail has been set at $1 million.

Jessob Reisbeck, who conducted the interview for KMPH, posted the interview with the title “Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker Saves the Day” on YouTube (language warning):

He also posted his entire conversation with Kai the homeless hitchhiker (extreme language warning):

The bigger they are the harder they fall. Should have used the sharp part and one wack to base of skull would have terminated the rampage. Well on second thought then he would have been a modern day Ponteus Pilot and would have killed Jesus.

If I was Jesus I would not come back to save us, every time he identifies himself he is killed, beat up and locked up or sent to the looney bin.

Seriously I am glad that young fella was there with his hatchet to smash the big biggot, killer want to be down. He saved lives, he is a good guy for that, dunno if his hippy life may lead to bad things but I pray for his safety and hope he gets guidance. A life (and soul) is a terrible thing to waste.

What is with the bloodthirstiness at this website? The fact no one was killed here isn’t good enough, he should have hacked his head off with the hatchet and kicked it down the street for good measure!

Went through Cali once, was asked to return by in-laws , declined ! When I first went through cali , I was greeted at a welcome station by a bunch of people sitting in chairs surrounded by tables – they were issuing out Prophylactics to everyone- I declined. Traveling through cali had two different occasions where people pointed guns at me – slammed brakes. Went through lost angles – earth quake took place a few days later – I felt the before tremors. My final departure out of cali was a message of a tractor trailer tire rolling down the hwy., that I moved over to miss. Please don’t speak to me ! You have nothing of interest to me.

Is the story about the kid or the 300-400lb nutter that was trying to harm people…sheesh. The nutter weighing in over 300 lbs and intent on doing harm is the bad dood, in case you missed it…not some homeless kid that came to help…he has no family…he is dead as far as they are concerned…someone failed the young man big time.

He spent time with the cops and was let go…got it?

Nope, have you lived in the woods? Hitchhiking is part of it and a hatchet is used for various things things along the long lonely road. Besides, no telling who might pick you up for a ride. So no, I see it as part of the gig.

WE NEED HATCHET CONTROL! People should be forced to explain WHY they require a hatchet, and if the local unelected authority figure decides that reason is not good enough, NO HATCHET FOR YOU. The unelected authority, however, will have an entire mansion built out of hatchets, because HE CAN.

Uh, yeah, I don’t suppose that DRUGS (California legal or otherwise) had anything to do with this? I usually expect a toxicology report about drug use when the by-line is “Homeless Hitchhiker with Hatchet Brains Jesus” And I love the tender sensibilities of our good friend Kai who won’t use the “n-word” but will drop the “f-bomb”. And I would LOVE to know why Jesus was out and about driving while under the influence of who knows what and off his meds. Let me ask why, if the parents of a TEENAGER drinking and driving can be held accountable for the drunken youth offender, then why can’t the SOCIAL WORKER responsible for letting this nutcase out of the nuthatch and into some halfway house be held responsible for LOONEY TUNES’ criminal actions?

Ever wonder why news stations do not cover the slaughters in Africa, and then demand you give up your guns because warlords in Africa were slaughtering people?

In other words, if you allow them to, they will try to manipulate the media in ways that make you feel guilty about certain civil rights, the basic right to self preservation, the ability to protect others, freedom of speech, freedom of religion not to be defined by the regulations of the state?

They want to take away your civil rights, by pretending that by doing so, they “might” save a life, yet fail to articulate the legion of evidence that what ever that civil right protects, was put that way because a legion of common sense, a legion of evidence, and the motivation of the People to use the tools given to them to promote peace tranquility, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, in such ways that foreign citizens want to immigrate here, and foreign countries get rid of corrupt governments to model them after the founding of the United States because the good guys outnumber the bad guys?

Who would want to fundamentally change that?

Mark Levin does not spin the news, does he? What is the driving message behind the decade of the 1950s? The good guys, out number the bad guys? We are going to teach you how to be a good guy? What changed?
