Jesse Jackson Wants Homeland Security to Patrol Streets of Chicago

Rev. Jesse Jackson on Saturday called for the Department of Homeland Security to help patrol the streets of Chicago to deal with soaring gun violence in the city and for President Barack Obama to come and personally address the issue.

Jackson was holding a rally and march in honor of Hadiya Pendleton, the sophomore honors student shot dead in a local park days after performing at Obama’s second inauguration.

Jackson said Chicago needs more help than either Mayor Rahm Emanuel or police superintendent Garry McCarthy can provide, Reuters reported, and called for Obama to return to his hometown.

“When the president shows up, it shows ultimate national seriousness,” Jackson, a Chicago resident, said.

Jackson first called for “immediate federal intervention and Homeland Security in Chicago” Friday after homicide totals surpassed 45 for the month of January alone.

Jackson has been a proponent of new gun control measures, saying last month that “semi-automatic” and “assault weapons” need to be banned because they pose threats to national security with the capability to “shoot down planes.”

Is Jackson an idiot? Wait, we already know the answer to that question! The gun crime in Chicago is largely black on black crime. It is thugs shooting other thugs. If we want to make the gun crime go away, tack another fifty years on to the sentence of any gun crime conviction. They can’t shoot guns in prison. Further, make welfare in the innercity a jobs program and do not allow any one to stay on welfare for over a year unless they are truely disabled. Welfare is directly responsible for the break down of the black family in the innercity.

  BRO: Agree. Democrats refuse to acknowledge the root of the problem because they always use the Discrimination Card and stirring up racial division to gain votes and solidify their political power. Jesse and Al are poster child examples of entire careers doing just that. They have created the very problems these inner cities are experiencing because it was good for their careers. Now they want to use these problems to push more of their Left wing agenda : unmilitary troops with federal power policing the streets where guns are already illegal ?! WAKE UP. Those people (I use the word people loosely) want to live like animals, blame the white man for their problems, refuse to avail themselves of the education available, and insist they are owed for their ancestors labor. Fine no more welfare, no more jail, transportation back to Africa. Those who have assimilated into American culture fine, no problem.   In post-civil war society, “40 acres and a mule” was effectively what was needed for any man to support a family through the sweat of his own brow. It wasn’t a demand for an easy, labor-free life, just the ability to make something of yourself from your own work.
  
  The modern equivalent would be a high school education. With that, in our society, you can make something of yourself if you work at it. We have now had universal public education for two generations. Everyone has had their “40 acres and a mule”, and then some.
  
  Whose fault is it if someone is given the means for their own success and then they reject it?

Did you know that it is NOT uncommon for the Mayor’s office to work hand in hand with gang leaders during elections in Chicago?

What Chicago needs is NOT Homeland Security patrolling the streets, but rather a complete POLITICAL cleansing, from the Mayor, to the Chief of Police, to the Public Union Leaders and Gang leaders. Once civility is re-established, the rest will fall into place. Call in the National Guard, and abolish the DHS before it, too, becomes a Frankenstein – and it’s headed that way.

7,000 fully automatic rifles were ordered by DHS for their employees last year for ‘personal use’. Millions of rounds of ammunition were purchased by the same. And now Jackaz Jackson wants the streets of Chicago, home of the greatest failed Leftist socialist experiment ever perpetrated on our soil by our own government, patrolled by government jack-booted thugs.

If this doesn’t speak plain English in support of the 2nd Amendment, then we’ve reached a point in our time when the level of stupidity amongst certain segments of our society, is insurmountable. If a return, quickly, to common-sense election and governance, grounded in fundamental principals of Rights and morality are not allowed to regenerate, then the ONLY solution left, filling the void, will be Darwinism.

DHS should go to Chicago, but not to patrol the streets, but to make a big ring around it and make a 1/4 mile wide no-man’s land around it to keep any more of the inmates/zombies from escaping. Repeat for New York, Southern California, and DC. Hopefully that can stop the spread.

  Better yet, let all those law abiding good citizens of Chicago along with J. Jackson just move to NYC where guns are not allowed. There they will be safe. That will eliminate the need to surround Chi-town and save some money. A briefer on Posse Comitatus. On September 26, 2006, President Bush urged Congress to consider revising federal laws so that U.S. armed forces could restore public order and enforce laws in the aftermath of a natural disaster, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition, these changes were included in the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007 (H.R. 5122), which was signed into law on October 17, 2006.

Section 1076 is titled “Use of the Armed Forces in major public emergencies.” It provided that:

The President may employ the armed forces… to… restore public order … or [to] suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy if such… a condition… so hinders the execution of the laws… that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law… or opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.

In 2008, these changes in the Insurrection Act of 1807 were repealed in their entirety, reverting to the previous wording of the Insurrection Act that in its original form was written to limit Presidential power as much as possible in the event of insurrection, rebellion, or lawlessness.
