Saudi Cleric Fayhan al Ghamdi Kills 5 Year Old Daughter Over Virginity Concerns, Gets Light Prison Sentence and a Fine

A prominent Saudi cleric has received a light prison sentence after confessing to beating his 5-year-old daughter to death over concerns about her virginity.

Saudi media reports say Fayhan al-Ghamdi, a frequent guest on Islamic television programs, also raped his daughter before being charged with murder in November.

Gulf News has some of the horrifying details:

[5-year-old] Lama Al Ghamdi was admitted to hospital on December 25, 2011 with multiple injuries, including a crushed skull, broken ribs and left arm, extensive bruising and burns, the activists said. She died last October 22.

Fayhan Al Gamdi, an Islamic preacher and regular guest on Muslim television networks, confessed to having used cables and a cane to inflict the injuries, the activists from the group “Women to Drive” said in a statement.

They said the father had doubted Lama’s virginity and had her checked up by a medic.

Randa Al Kaleeb, a social worker from the hospital where Lama was admitted, said the girl’s back was broken and that she had been raped “everywhere”, according to the group. [Emphasis added]

But the cleric was freed last week after serving a short prison term and agreeing to pay $50,000 in “blood money” to the family of the girl’s mother. According to the BBC, it is roughly half of what he would have had to pay had the murdered child been male.

Gulf News reports that the ruling is based on national law that men cannot be executed for killing their children or their wives.

But the backlash has been fierce in Saudi Arabia. A social media campaign gaining momentum Sunday is the latest attempt to use the Internet to pressure the kingdom’s ultraconservative rulers to hand down a harsher punishment.

Countless Twitter users are using the hashtag #AnaLama, Arabic for “I am Lama,” in association with the story.

The news comes soon after Al-Arabiya publicized another Saudi cleric’s call to have female babies wear the burka, so there is less chance they will be sexually molested.

This is just one instance that we have happened to hear about. Think of the thousands more of these poor little girls who live this horror. These are not men…they are pathetic aberrations.

These are sick sick people that think the TORTURE of a 5 year old is acceptable behavior. As bad as the morals are in this country we can’t even BEGIN to compete with the muslims. They are a depraved group of people who justify their horrendous behavior through their religion. The spout morality but don’t have a clue as to what moral behavior is. They are an absolute affront to the human race. They are truly satan’s chosen ones. At least the poor child is in heaven and in the afterlife her father will be where he deserves HELL. I’m sure there is a special place reserved for those as evil as he is.

This is the law of Islam which is a direct command from the muslim book. This cleric most definitely deserves death, but because children are considered as being less important than his darn camel, and he gets by with murder.

Hopefully someone over their will do the deed or at least cut his desert oysters, and then shove them in his mouth and force him to swallow them. However the cleric will have to chew on them to get them down to size in order to swallow them.

These people are evil! We are sending our tax dollars to support a national religion that justifies this inexcusable behavior. When we vote for a president who is a Muslim we should expect that he will use our tax dollars to support Islam and Sharia Law.

And another thing: Some women in America (Joy Bahar, The Gloria’s, et,al) defend Islam, but turn a blind eye to something like this? Are they that stupid? Aren’t they out there declaring that women are equal? Do they really want to support these %$%%$$$ who would rape, beat and torture a five year old girl? I just cannot get this out of my head! These aformentioned American women support these cretins way of life! Do they think by giving these *%%$$%^%^ their support that they will not be treated the same? Some people are just to dumb to be called human. I just don’t get it. For the love of Mike, this just makes me sick!
