Saudi Cleric Confesses to Murdering 5-Year-Old Daughter Over Virginity Concerns — Gets a Fine & Brief Jail Time

Saudi Cleric Fayhan al Ghamdi Kills 5 Year Old Daughter Over Virginity Concerns, Gets Light Prison Sentence and a Fine

A prominent Saudi cleric has received a light prison sentence after confessing to beating his 5-year-old daughter to death over concerns about her virginity.

Saudi media reports say Fayhan al-Ghamdi, a frequent guest on Islamic television programs, also raped his daughter before being charged with murder in November.

Gulf News has some of the horrifying details:

[5-year-old] Lama Al Ghamdi was admitted to hospital on December 25, 2011 with multiple injuries, including a crushed skull, broken ribs and left arm, extensive bruising and burns, the activists said. She died last October 22.

Fayhan Al Gamdi, an Islamic preacher and regular guest on Muslim television networks, confessed to having used cables and a cane to inflict the injuries, the activists from the group “Women to Drive” said in a statement.

They said the father had doubted Lama’s virginity and had her checked up by a medic.

Randa Al Kaleeb, a social worker from the hospital where Lama was admitted, said the girl’s back was broken and that she had been raped “everywhere”, according to the group. [Emphasis added]

But the cleric was freed last week after serving a short prison term and agreeing to pay $50,000 in “blood money” to the family of the girl’s mother. According to the BBC, it is roughly half of what he would have had to pay had the murdered child been male.

Gulf News reports that the ruling is based on national law that men cannot be executed for killing their children or their wives.

But the backlash has been fierce in Saudi Arabia. A social media campaign gaining momentum Sunday is the latest attempt to use the Internet to pressure the kingdom’s ultraconservative rulers to hand down a harsher punishment.

Countless Twitter users are using the hashtag #AnaLama, Arabic for “I am Lama,” in association with the story.

The news comes soon after Al-Arabiya publicized another Saudi cleric’s call to have female babies wear the burka, so there is less chance they will be sexually molested.

Perhaps Mr. Obama, with his deep and public love for islam and for children, should discuss this on national television and tell us all, with his deep wisdom, why islam permits this kind of thing…no, encourages it and refuses to penalize and punish the guilty sobs that harm children and women.

In islam, you can rape and murder women and children, you can screu little boys and girls, dogs, apes, donkeys and any other animal and it’s all good. Go to Hell islam.

Well if you think about the 9/11 hijackers were promised if they carrried thier mission they would be rewarded with a bunch of virgins … there is no telling how old they were wishing for….And the muslims have the Balls to call the Jewish people pigs !!!

“he raped her” ?????
And this is the mentality that the liberals are going to allow to “rule the world” and shove that so-called
“religion” down our throats ?????

There’s no rehabilitating savages like this. They would have the whole world turned into a Sharia-based Caliphate if they could. And even if there were none of us left they’d eat their own!

This misogynistic ideology of kill should be wiped off the face of this earth because as long as Islam’s intolerance and continual genocide remains there will be no peace on earth.

They are on automatic pilot to murder from the cradle to the grave.

There’s no telling what sort of abuse this child went through. She is probably one of many who are abused from babies onward. It must be pure hell to be a female in their hellish and nightmarish Islamic countries of iniquity and death by Sharia.

Our soldiers in Afghanistan were recently ordered not to say anything negative about women’s rights, child abuse, pedophilia, etc. as this would offend the Afghans, because these things are part of their culture. So our soldiers are in this God-forsaken country with people living in the sixth century, who lie and cheat each other with the approval of their religion.
Let us bring our soldiers home to protect us from our domestic enemies, and let these barbaric people continue to fight each other. It is just sad that the women and children can’t leave Afghanistan and let the men use each other for pleasure and war.

How you could rape your own little 5 year old daughter, and then kill her all for Allah. Your allah never said to hurt the innocent, the unarmed, the helpless in his name. I know that someone will say that priests and pastors do this all the time. BUT this is sick beyond belief. Beat your daughter to death because you are worried she is not a virgin. Then rape her “everywhere”. Then Sharia Law says he cannot be punished for murder (or rape?) if it is his own family. He pays the mothers family $50K which is half what he would have had to pay for a male child. (Would he have also raped a male child?)
We also have another cleric issuing a fatwah that infants should wear burqas to protect them from rape. If he even remotely thinks this might happen it speaks volumes about how depraved Islam is.
