Family of Slain Navy SEAL Chris Kyle Issues First Statement on Kyle’s Death: ‘America Has Truly Lost One of Its Finest Sons’

Jeff Kyle, the brother of former Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, issued a statement Monday regarding Kyle’s recent shooting death on behalf of the Kyle and Littlefield families. Suspect Eddie Routh allegedly shot and killed Kyle, 38, and his friend Chad Littlefield at Rough Creek Lodge in Glen Rose, Texas on Saturday.

“My name is Jeff Kyle. I’m here representing my family, the Kyle family, and also the Littlefield family. I am reading a prepared statement prepared by the Kyle family and Littlefield family,” Kyle began.

“Chris Kyle and his trusted friend, Chad Littlefield, were tragically killed on Saturday, February 2, 2013, by a troubled veteran whom they were trying to help,” Kyle said. “Chris lived by a professional motto: ‘It is our duty to serve those who serve us.’ And he and Chad died honoring this creed.”

He went on: “Above all else, Chris was a unique individual, an amazing loving father, husband, son, brother, friend and devout Christian who had a profound effect on the lives of those that he touched. Chris was publicly known for being the president of Craft International and the author of the best-selling book ‘American Sniper.’ Chris, a former Navy SEAL, served four combat tours in operation Iraqi Freedom and elsewhere.”

“We’re all saddened by his tragic death. And America has truly lost one of its finest sons and a true patriot,” Kyle added.

He also described Chad Littlefield, 35, as a devoted husband and father and loyal friend to many.

“Chad felt deeply about the values of family, compassion, friendship and loyalty and was equally passionate about his love of God and country,” he said. “Chad was a cherished friend to Chris. Chad’s passing is a tremendous loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to the Littlefield family.”

Kyle also addressed the media: “I and the families request that the media respect the privacy of our family and the friends while we grieve the loss of Chris and details of the memorial service and funeral will be released at a later time.”

Marcus Luttrell, a former Navy SEAL and close friend of Chris Kyle, also offered a few words in honor of the slain SEAL.

“I miss you bro,” he said. “I think we’ve buried 67 of our closest brothers now, and it just never gets any easier.”

The sad part is you have no idea why you are offensive. No clue. This wasn’t a political piece, it was about a couple of vets and their families. They served for many reasons, one was so you would have an opportunity to spew your uneducated vile. You wouldn’t know a neo con from a bot from an Orthodox Jew.   My condolances to all the people he killed-including a woman holding a babe and a grenade to ward off the american agressors.And he did not fight for our freedom -as our freedom has not been threatened by iraq. There have been way too many bazaar and troubling shootings since the massacre at the last elementary school and I for one do not believe that all these are accidental. I have worked in politics for too long to believe in this as all coincidental in light of the press to totally disarm the American people.

Throughout history in the US our politicians have used manchurian candidates to assassinate those people who get in their way, like the Kennedy brothers and today I believe that they are behind most if not all of these shootings to include the elementary school shootings and the theater shootings and believe they will kill many more people to fulfill their agenda to depopulate the world and to disarm the American people to force everyone into concentration camps.

  Try the enemy of the state using these tactics.They have sucessfully infiltrated our government,Have been doing so almost uninpeded for roughly fifty years.[Government and military in earnest-econmically and socially for a lot longer.Our own military and ops tried the manchurian candidate mechanism.In order for this to work sucessfully it requires knowledge of firearms ease of manipulation ability to hypnotize.
  The candidate must be within a certain IQ level.Too stupid they won't catch on.Too smart and they will resist as they know whats going on even if they can't identify all the players.If they have had tet and are smart, are almost impossible to use or break.
  I'd like to see the autopsies on the dead gunmen.Do they have anything like a boil like eruption?If you don't think that the administration of something like androgel [under the guise of treating another problem]can’t be sucessfully done think again.Ungodly doses of testerone will make anyone prone to violence.Though the smarter and tougher they are the less likely they will be to act on it.It works on almost anybody.It simply can’t be used sucessfully to push just anyone ober the edge to kill.
  The enemy within america has used all types of similar situations for attempted life insurance fraud .Why not to make their version of the manchurian candidate?

I’ve worked with our wounded warriors and have been amazed and delighted by their ability to deal with, bounce back, and be determined to recover. I don’t know what the problems the killer had, but I know they are rare. His problems began long before his service, or were exacerbated after he returned by who knows what personal challenges he faced. What is important is the heroism of Chris and Chad both in battle, and when they returned home. I look forward to being reunited with you guys in heaven!

  He was a 21stc american nazi glorifying killing and dehumanizing the enemy.If there were real justice he would be at the hague on trial for war crimes.
