He ‘Served This Country With Extreme Honor’: Remembering American Sniper Chris Kyle
The shooting death of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle has left the country — particularly our community of proud veterans — reeling from the loss of a man who “served his country with extreme honor” in wartime and returned home only to continue a life of service. Author of the bestselling book, “American Sniper,” Kyle was a champion for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and was dedicated to helping returning veterans readjust to life at home.
It is for this reason that his death, at the hands of a fellow Iraq War veteran who police say may have been suffering from PTSD or other mental disorder, is so poignant.
Known as America’s most lethal sniper, the highly decorated SEAL understood the difficulties of war and hoped to create an environment that would foster greater empathy for veterans and the traumas suffered during wartime. Speaking of his friend, fellow sniper Travis Cox said that Kyle had “served this country with extreme honor, but came home and was a servant leader in helping his brothers and sisters dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder.”
“Everyone has their own inner struggles, but he was very proactive about the things he was dealing with.”
Below is a tribute to the fallen SEAL from Monday evening’s episode of The Glenn Beck Program:
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Posted on February 5, 2013 at 7:49amSadly, this is something the administration will never be able to wrap their arms around. If they don’t understand the military why would they understand an outstanding patriot. God Bless Chris’s family and friends, I honor him and all the military, they are truly the glue of the America.

Posted on February 11, 2013 at 6:33pmHe was a good soldier, and protected our country! I wanted to comment to that this guy that killed them, and had PTSD, my dad had that and he took medician for it too. He was in world war II and the war with the japs. Before he was diagnosed, he use to sit in the basement with a gun, and say the japs where coming, and also he would go upstairs in our attic and coc the gun, I heard him when I was a child. Then he was hospitalized, put on meds, and was fine. I was 11, when it happened. I am sharing this becuase he is with God now. He did get medals of bravery, but, he never turned the gun on his family of six kids, never! Or even gave the impression that he was going to kill us. My mom sent him to the VA hospital, and he never threatened my mom with a gun, or got mad at her and threatened to kill her becuase she put him in. So you that say it was stupid for chris to use this therapy to help a fellow soldier. Before you judge, make sure you have walked in his shoes!

Posted on February 11, 2013 at 6:45pmOne more thought, forgive me , for pressing the reply button there I dont know how to type in something here, so I aint disagreeing with what you are saying,,,,, anyhow, one more thought maybe, this guy who shot them, ran off,,,, didnt shoot himself,,, and got arrested,,, and isnt saying anything,,, hmmmmm,,, sounds like a guy reallly mentally ill?? Just a thought, and my comments here. If it is true,,,, that chris had a bounty on his head of 80,000,,,,,, that is alot of money! sounds like this guy is thinking this through,,,,, just a thought, he isnt saying anything, so far, why?? he knows how to talk, and he doesnt have a speech problem,,, he says nothing, he will be diagnose of course, with PTSD, and maybe get a lighter sentence,,, look at past killers in the past,,,navy seals and just people in general,,,,, the killer, generally,, killed themselves,,, this guy was in war, so he knows, what went on ,,,, just a thought, not saying I am right, but,,,,, i wonder! Again, my dad had PTSD, and he even hallucinated, he had it to the max! And he did get medals for bravery,,, I think, just my thoughts, there is more behind this story then was has happened, and if so,,, I pray, they find it out! again,,,, I cried!! When I heard this man died, and his dear friend! And I am so sorry,,,,

Posted on February 4, 2013 at 11:13pmI haven’t been able to get this out of my mind since hearing about it Sunday. How do you measure the loss of a man with such courage and honor? My heart breaks for his wife and children. In his book there are excerpts where she tells of her own struggles with is deployments from her perspective, her fears for his safety. And now to have him home just to be taken by such a senseless act of cowardice and evil? Where in the Hell has justice gone and what in the Hell has happened to us? Just can’t wrap my mind or heart around this one…

As the ascendance of communism continues, they infiltrate every conservative website.
I notice it here with exponentially growing frequency to the point where now the first posts
are often trolls who now talk to one another and answer each others posts.

Posted on February 4, 2013 at 8:22pmSuch a sad loss. An American Patriot. How I love our Military! We must take care of them and their families. It’s the very LEAST we can do, to repay them for their sacrifice.

Posted on February 4, 2013 at 8:10pmReeling? The Sandy Hook massacre left the country reeling. Sept. 11th, 2001 left the country reeling. This has not left the country reeling. As a matter of fact, this guy (dare I say?) had it coming. Oh, yes I dare. Murders happen every day in the USA. Does TheBlaze report on every one? Hardly. I’m over it yesterday.

Posted on February 4, 2013 at 8:17pmthey have a neo conserative agenda to get us to salute and so called support troops which is aka for supporting war and big goverment statism. To be honest most troops i know don’t want the saluting nonsense to media does and just want to be welcomed into normal society and tell you a few stories of their adventure. Most people i know now go into military to become somebody and hopefully find good work after service because of the bad economy.
