John McCain Called Racist After Joking About Ahmadinejad Being Like the Monkey Iran Sent Into Space

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) is under fire on Twitter for being one of many to mock Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s claim that he wants to be the first Iranian to reach outer space.

The news follows Iran’s declaration that they successfully launched a monkey into orbit. There’s still some confusion as to whether they actually did it, but the Iranians are sticking to their story despite expert testimony that two different monkeys are seen in the “before” and “after” photos).

Regardless, John McCain joked:

The backlash was swift, with at least one other member of Congress joining in the criticism of McCain’s tweet (content warning):

When McCain later added, “Re: Iran space tweet – lighten up folks, can’t everyone take a joke?” Representative Justin Amash (R-MI) didn’t seem able to let it go.

What would Democrats do with the Race Card and the Discrimination Card ? They created the housing melt-down with the Discrimination Card and the Democrats are STILL managing to avoid the Blame that they and their ACORN community groups so richly deserve for ruining our economy. And they are still doing this by calling the Tea Party ” racists” because the TeaParty wants to curb spending ! The Democrats always use the Race / Discrimination Card to accomplish their real goal which is to destroy our successful capitalist economy. ( Their code word for destroy is ” change ” which is another one of their ” out of status” twists ! )

Not a big fan of Sen. McCain, but I liked that dig. Patriots have always slammed our enemies, and laughter is a great weapon against tyrants. That evil B*****d deserves absolutely no respect.

Racism my a*s*s*…. I thinks it hilarious! ,I thought the same thing myself,,,,the pictures they showed on the iranian news ,,I thought it was Ahmadinejad? and he was wearing a space suit? sure looked liked him….

Who they defend and who they do not tells you exactly what side of America these loons stand on. The Loons attack their own Countrymen who defend the U.S. Constitution and principles. They go ballistic if you even brush the edges of defaming our Nations enemy.

So calling somebody a monkey doesnt mean monkey anymore? If calling him a monkey is racist then what race does the monkey represent..im not gettng it.

When i think of a monkey i dont automatically picture a race, i picture a monkey…somebody here is racist and it aint john mccain

Remind me again about all the racist comments from the left when Stacey Dash made a commen sense statement….but that wasnt racist because it came from the left. Its only raciest if it comes from the right….doesnt even have to be close to being racist they will make some stretch of a connection

not a big fan of mccain okay. so why is anyone defending irans prez a bed-in-a-bag?….when hitlery speaks in a “i anit no ways tired”,also says you can’t go to gas station where the attendants are hard to understand and comments about their accents…..or joe biden making fun of accented people from over there……oh yea it’s okay fro the left to make racial jokes i forgot ….typical hypocritical left
