Ted Nugent Goes Off on Piers Morgan During Fiery Gun Debate: ‘You’re So Full of Crap’

Rock legend Ted Nugent sat down with CNN’s Piers Morgan in a Texas gun shop on Monday to talk, well, guns. Nugent blasted Morgan over his apparent “obsession with guns” and told him to leave responsible American gun owners “the hell alone.”

Morgan began the interview by asking his guest to explain to him, “in the least inflammatory way possible,” why any American needs to own an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. Morgan had just gotten done shooting an AR-15 at a gun range and said he was surprised by the power it possessed.

After first offering prayers to the Chris Kyle and Littlefield families, Nugent told Morgan to “take it to the bank” that he would never understand the true purpose of firearms.

“You don’t understand that it’s a simple inanimate tool that tens of millions of American families own that have never caused a problem, never had an accident and will never commit a crime,” Nugent said.

Morgan countered by saying 100,000 Americans get hit by gunfire each year.

“Let me stop you there, because I’ve been hearing you say this and you’re so full of crap. Listen to me, that statistic includes bad guys shot by cops and intruders shot by homeowners. So that figure is bogus,” Nugent shot back.

Then Morgan explained that 18,000 people commit suicide using a gun every year in the U.S., to which Nugent quickly replied: “Japan has a higher suicide rate and they aren’t allowed to get downwind of a gun. You’re turn.”

“Do you care about murders?” Nugent pressed. “Or do you only care about about murders with guns?”

“I care about all death,” Morgan replied.

“I don’t think you do. I think you care about guns. I think You’re obsessed with guns,” Nugent said, before going off on a fiery diatribe defending gun owners in America.

“99.99% of the gun owners of America are wonderful people that you are hanging around with here today. Perfectly safe. Perfectly harmless. Wonderful, loving, giving, generous caring people. Would you leave us the hell alone? Go after the nut jobs, go after the murderers, because I don’t know any. We need to lock up the bad guys and when people show dangerous, murderous intent, which everyone one of these mass murderers showed. All their neighbors, their family, their teachers, their fellow students, they all knew they were crazy but, Piers, we didn’t stop them because we’re worried about hurting their feelings. We have a mad man problem in America…”

Completely unmoved by his remarks, Morgan said “I won’t leave you alone because this is a debate that needs to be had.”

Nugent went on to call Morgan the “perfect poster boy” to stand up for the “things that make no sense at all to common sense people.”

Nugent also blasted President Barack Obama’s proposals on gun control, saying he doesn’t agree with the president on any of his gun control plans.

He also said he didn’t agree with universal background checks and argued that more guns equals less violence. He counted off several places with the strictest gun laws and sky high violent crime, including Chicago and Mexico.

  Ted just proves he’s another idiot who went into this debate unprepared. And lets be real, Morgan has had weeks of stale material to pick apart. Point in case: Morgan brings up per-capita gun murders. This is where a smart person would discount the statistic with the fact that America is much larger then PM’s chosen countries. That a better measure would be violent crimes as a percentage per 100K. Or take it a step further and find the number of legal guns used in such crimes (very small, if it’s even the weapon at all). P Morgan is a sensationalist, and Ted is another celebrity dud, his brain is mush and he can only spew talking points without knowledge to back it up.
  Teddy won’t even touch on the racial aspect of gun-crime in inner cities that overtakes all other shades. Look to Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, etc… Oh wait, the truth is treason with you do-gooders. No, for Ted, FBI stats are only effective if they back his point but don’t ruffle viewer feathers. Ted is another loser dragged out to “debate” the Brit. He freezes when studied facts could prevail. Of course no one ever said he was smart (hence “debating” the puppet PM).

  Soy, the difference is that Ted didn’t sound like a raving madman doing it. He kept a calm demeanor whereas Jones was shouting, raving like a madman, and falling into the left’s stereotype about those on the right being loons (not that I think Jones comes from the right). It didn’t help with Jones either because of his various conspiracy theories. Comparing Ted Nugent to Alex Jones is like comparing a fine wine to a can of Papst Blue Ribbon.

  I agree with a lot of what ICEBOX had to say about guns. For example absolute number comparison is pointless, it is a comparison of % that matters and nobody seems willing to talk about the ‘race’ issue and how one component of society seems to be responsible for a much larger % of gun crime than size of their population as a % of the whole would indicate.
  
  All that being said, I wish you people would look north to Canada. We had a ‘long gun registry’. We forced mandatory registration of long guns with the police whether they were newly purchased or old family pieces that great, great, great grand dad used to throw the Americans out of Canada in 1812.
  
  It didn’t work. The registry had absolutely no effect on gun crime. All it did was cause further grief for Canadians who wanted to own a rifle, and turn those of us who refused to register ( and there were tens of thousands of us) into petty criminals.
  
  You need look no further afield than Canada to prove that Obama’s gun registry will not work as it only effects, even if 100% compliance is reached, the honest gun owner. The bad guys still have their guns and the cops have no idea where or how many or what type or who the ‘owners’ are.

  Peirs also had his facts wrong. The Newtown shooting was carried out by handguns and the “assualt” rifles were foundin the kids car. The coroner stated that the “long barrel” weapons were used after the police said they found those weapons in the auto.

  From 1995 to 2004 Piers Morgan was the editor of “The Daily Mirror”which is a British smut rag akin to “The National Enquirer.” A British politician named Therese Coffee called for Piers Morgan to testify recently in Great Britain over allegations that The Daily Mirror was knowingly involved in hacking the phone messages of ex Paul McCartney wife Heather Mills. A “reporter” for the Daily Mirror testified that this was so yet Piers Morgan of course, denied any knowledge or involvement in this phone hacking allegation. The British MP was then told to apologize. Wonder how high up that order came, huh? There is so much to sock Piers Morgan in the jaw with. Somebody get on this!

  Okay sheep, ponder this: Firstly, Alex Jones was at the gun range before Ted, he apoligized to Morgan for his outburst, told him he was on very little sleep & wasn’t feeling well on top of it. He also overheard Morgan’s crew discussing how to make him look bad before the show. Secondly, The OWNER of the gun range, Jeremy Alcede, personally invited Alex Jones to the range after finding out that Morgan’s crew (CNN, the lamestream media) was falsely reporting that Jeremy Alcede was for registering ammo buyers. Alex Jones was on his way to protest when Jeremy personally called him & told Alex that just wasn’t true. Alex warned Jeremy that they would lie & misrepresent his position, THEY DID!! It was suppossed to be ALL live & CNN edited the owner’s remarks, lying to Jeremy when asked if it would be live. I believe an hour & a half of ‘taping’ was reduced to 15 minutes, taken out of context, & purposely edited to make the Mr. Alcede sound crazy. I personally listened to the interview with Alex Jones & Jeremy Alcede the owner after the incident & subsequent airing of Morgan’s show. I listen to Glenn, Mark Savage, Mark Levin, & Alex Jones. You CAN’T develop a sense of any truth by listening to one person only people! My personal opinion is that Alex tackles completely what the rest only touch upon (out of fear of being called crazy I imagine), although Glenn tackles these issues more & more, it is Alex Jones that has been investigating these issues for years.   One more thing (ran out of type), you MUST check resources, look up everything! ‘Agenda 21′ is in my county being taught as a course at the local college, One of the organizations under the ‘Agenda 21′ UN resolution is I.C.L.E.I., that is the organization infiltrating our local governments under tag lines like, ‘Office of Sustainability’, and the college course being called, ‘Ohio Green & Growing’ (my state). Alex Jones may seem to the outsider like a loon but he has the guts to really tell the truth, to really question inconsistencies in news reporting. Why Glenn would tell you about the diabolical government operations being done to us and than dismiss the possibility that 911 was an inside job by that selfsame government is beyond my comprehension.   In political jargon, useful idiot is a pejorative term for people perceived as propagandists for a cause whose goals they do not understand(1WO), and who are used cynically by the leaders of the cause(Soros.
  
  The term has been used to refer to Soviet(1WO) sympathizers in Western countries. The implication was that, although the people in question naively thought of themselves as an ally of the Soviet Union(DNC), they were actually held in contempt and were being cynically used. The use of the term in political discourse has since been extended to other propagandists(MSM), especially those who are seen to unwittingly support a malignant cause which they naively believe to be a force for good(gun control).

  I know Ted was running out of time but there is an easy answer to the Yemen question. Their government isn’t stable people are running around crazy. Gangs with guns.   i was loving pieces bringing up yamen or however its spelt, i did a bit of time there years ago, its a war zone litered with civil war, it is not a national civil war it is local wars, i think now they have gotten alot bigger and better armed as the warlords have died off to the bigger and better funded ones. needless to say, to bring up the death and murder rate in a area that is an active war zone is just stupid from the point of go. in my time there we secured areas, the gov troops would come in and try to hold what we took,, the gov allways failed and we would be back in a few weeks, allmost allways less then a month, corruption within the ranks of the gov troops, family members that knew someone from that town of village, tribal hates, racism out the yin yang, even if youre from a nearby village youre a different race. thus why idiots like us were called in, until the gov can create a military force that is not corrupt, get rid of the racism, tribal issues and build an economy it will be a war zone for a long time to come, and more idiots like me will go back and settle issues a few weeks at a time. till then its an active war zone and dont think anything different about that crap hole.

  NZKIWI, Thanks for that link. It just now showed up on The Blaze’s home page where Ann Coulter explains 0bama’s intentions. It will be incremental in this country though, all while he is smiling and telling us through the media that WE actually want more checks and that he is not out to TAKE (all) of our guns.
  My impression now since they continue to tell the lie that an AR15 (okay SENDTHEMEATEEYORES, for you an AK15) was used at Sandy Hook considering the FBI investigative team said Adam Lanza’s body was found with 4 handguns only, no long gun. There is a reason they want to stop the sale of a rifle with which the American people can use to protect themselves from an oppressive government first. When or if they can get away with that violation of the 2nd Amendment, then they will come for the handguns. Again, with the same messages and that they did not go far enough the first time.

A few whackos vs. the possibility of disarmament of political dissidents under the guise of mental health. Too many folks are on the “so called” are going along with this.   FREETHINKER75, men were drafted to fight in Vietnam; they were not asked. Many fled to Canada and some went to jail. College men got deferrments and working men got drafted to fight in a war we did not try to win. I don’t blame Ted Nugent for not wanting to go. It does not change the truth of what he is saying.
