Alabama Coach Suspended for 10 Days After This Rant Against Gays and Michelle Obama’s Butt

Football coach Bob Grisham suspended for Michelle Obama butt rant

A high school coach and teacher in Alabama has been suspended for 10 days and barred from teaching his psychology class for the rest of the year after he went off on an anti-gay and anti-Michelle Obama rant during class. The audio of the rant made it to the local paper and quickly took off from there.

“…[T]hose lunches – you get 600-calorie lunches – you know who’s behind that?” head football coach Bob Grisham of Lauderdale County High School was caught saying during a class last week. “Fat butt Michelle Obama.”

He continued: “And look … look at her. She looks like she weighs 185 or 190. She’s overweight.”

But the rant didn’t end there. The local paper the Times Daily has the rest, which included comments about “queers” [emphasis added]:

You’d better be aware of it. And people running around like, oh it’ll get better, it’ll get better. No, it ain’t gone get no better until things change. I can give you example after example of that, but I don’t want to use any local names to give you examples. Things won’t get better until there’s a change in some areas and stuff. And you know what his platform was? Change. We’re gone change. We’re all … aw it’s OK …. for … and … y’all can get pissed off at me or not. You can go tell the principal, you can call the superintendent and tell her. I don’t believe in queers, I don’t like queers. I don’t … I don’t hate them as a person but what they do is wrong, it’s an abomination against God. I don’t like being around queers.

The local school board met in special session on Monday and decided on the punishment, which also includes sensitivity training.

Grisham has defended himself saying he was in a debate situation and misspoke.

Since the comments, Grisham has become the target of criticism.

“We have a history in this country of white people not showing adequate respect for and devaluing the bodies of black women, and this most definitely falls in line with that,” says Ayana Byrd, the co-editor of the book “Naked: Black Women Bare All About Their Skin, Hair, Hips, Lips and Other Parts, told the Washington Post.

You can listen to audio of the rant below:

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

But Michelle DOES have a big ****. Everyone can see it. That’s why her fashion choices that don’t HIDE that FACT don’t suit her. The red dress she wore for the inauguration night parties was much better for her (although not a slam dunk) than most of the dresses she wears because the skirt flowed AWAY from the body, not accentuating her rear-end. And she DOES have a big REAR END. Obama supporters and the proverbial PC Police don’t like it mentioned? TOO DANG BAD.

Those on the Right side of the aisle had to suffer through endless put-downs and innuendo and insults for eight years against President Bush and his family. Turn-about is FAIR PLAY. And I don’t give a rat’s ass bout “Michelle’s toned arms.” WHO CARES? I say – good for the teacher. He’s as sick of the syncophantic press and Obama supporters as I am. GO FOR IT! Let it rip. PC Police be damned.

And if the big **** issue bothers Michelle and her supporters and anyone else, then SOMEBODY tell Michelle of the $7,000,000 Hawaiian vacations to spend some of her taxpayer-gifted cash on a good plastic surgeon who can suck the fat right out of her derriere and give he a Brazillian **** Lift. I kid you not. Michelle is ROLLING IN OUR MONEY. Let her and Ayana Bird (the referenced author, above) and anyone else who is “insulted” then STFU. Get off their fat butts and DO something about their fat butts. Then people won’t say anything else about her fat **** problem. It’s simple.

When I was in school i was taught about Checks and Balances, Double Standards, and Hypocrisy (Do as I say, not as I do).

There’s a good reason those are dead topics in our schools. Inconvenient.

If a teacher could really say anything they wanted you would hear mostly “Shut up you little (expletive) idiots. So there is not absolute free speech in a classroom. And his opinions about the First Lady are fine. I would prefer my child’s psychology teacher be more scientific than describing behavior as an abomination of God. A professional would not behave as he did.

I would suggest that when one goes off on unnatural affection, that they read it directly from the Bible. That way people will focus on the preaching of Christianity in schools. If the godless want to take it to the next level calling it discrimination they will put themselves in open opposition to God Himself…. and Amen to that person when they are in God’s cross hairs.

Hey crazy people- I’ve been in school for the last 18 years of my life. The “liberal indoctrination” that you speak of never once included derogatory physical descriptions of a single person, and certainly not about First Lady Bush. Say whatever the hell you want about “liberals started it!” but leave it to you uneducated low-lives to think its OK for a teacher to make any person’s physical appearance a topic of discussion in a classroom. That is so clearly not political that it proves you all have a much deeper seated hatred of the Obamas than just politics Hint-it has to do with their physical appearance!

Its allegedly uneducated workers like me that pay the bills to put you thru never ending school.
And yeah, there is a lot of deep seated hatred of this county destroying piece of trash. Until you can make your own way, and actually earn something, you don’t deserve an opinion.

Are any of you I silting the teachers the same group that wanted to arm them yesterday? And if you so strongly feel that education equates to indoctrination, have them drop out and get a GED, or home school them. The rooms are too crowded anyway. And about the we’re so persecuted nonsense, put on your big boy pants. You are at least half of the population if not more. Disagreeing with you is not destroying America and your way of life regardless of what your pundits tell you. Obviously from most of your comments, you feel free to say what you want. And I’m sure you understand that some speech is inappropriate at some times, or do you drop the F bomb in church? Manners and civility is not persecution.

Helen – Well I’m 22 now (in university) and was going to school by the age of 5, as most of us were. That equals 18 years, pretty standard. And I’m a little confused by what you mean by paying for my school. Yes, you must pay taxes that go to public schools, but I’m assuming you and your kids went to K-12 so your taxes paid for a service you took advantage of. As far as after that, public money didn’t pay for my school. Mine and my parents’ did. Aren’t you proud of us?

Variable – You keep claiming that, but I’m a real person right here telling you I went to those “liberally indoctrinated” schools and didn’t experience an ounce of what you’re describing. You can’t just convince yourself that teachers MUST have been telling students that Laura Bush was fat and then say its true. It didn’t happen, I was there.

Calmdown, Yeah I am proud of anybody that pays their own way. More people should try it.

As an aside, we home schooled our daughter. She is in her last semester to becoming a chemical engineer, so in our case all the thousands of dollars of school taxes we pay are wasted. She worked her way thru, with our help too, and will get out not owing a dime.
Sounds like you are about to get out and learn first hand about how the liberal govt. takes from those who work and gives to those who don’t. but thats another topic.

This man makes me proud to be from Alabama. What you are witnessing is a boiling over of Americans fed up with an indoctrination of the masses. Some of you may not realize the public school system is a feeding ground even here in Alabama the most conservative state for their AGENDA. Children are being taught esp. boys to be starved on fruits and vegetables and reprimanded for even dare eating anything similar to what this chow queen Michelle downs at every party. They are taught Agenda 21 principles involving becoming a global citizen. We pulled ours out 4 years ago and have never looked back. Although usually I would not agree a teacher should involve politics in class, the reason he probably did is these children are exposed to ONLY indoctrinating policies every day. Don’t hit back if you’re punched, don’t help others being hurt or you’ll be in trouble too, uniforms we’re all the same, no individuality allowed…no tolerance for religious beliefs, I could go on and on….

I happen to agree with your position. I believe there IS a growing number of Americans who are getting more and more disgusted with what we’re expected to swallow, day after day – the Obama perfection, the Obama rhetoric, the Obama Way, Obama Obama Obama. I know I’m sick of it, full throttle. There is nothing new under the sun. There have to be others just as sick of it as we are.

The teacher was wrong about WHEN he said what he did. He as NOT wrong about WHAT he said. In my opinon, he is accurate, though harshly spoken – and has been made to pay for his indiscretion.
