Bruce Willis: Don’t Mess With the Second Amendment
Hollywood legend Bruce Willis has a message for those who’ve suggested changes be made to the Second Amendment: Don’t infringe on my rights.
“I think that you can’t start to pick apart anything out of the Bill of Rights without thinking that it’s all going to become undone,” Willis told The Associated Press while promoting his latest action extravaganza, “A Good Day to Die Hard.”
“If you take one out or change one law, then why wouldn’t they take all your rights away from you?” he asked.
The actor adds that he thinks “the real topic is diminished” when people try to blame Hollywood for mass shootings.
“No one commits a crime because they saw a film. There’s nothing to support that,” Willis said. “We’re not making movies about people that have gone berserk, or gone nuts. Those kind of movies wouldn’t last very long at all.”
Willis, like many supporters of the Second Amendment, says that he doesn’t understand how stricter gun control laws, like the ones recently passed in New York, will prevent another Aurora or Sandy Hook shooting.
“It’s a difficult thing and I really feel bad for those families,” he said. “I’m a father and it’s just a tragedy. But I don’t know how you legislate insanity. I don’t know what you do about it. I don’t even know how you begin to stop that.”
“A Good Day to Die Hard,” the fifth in a series currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, hits theaters on Feb. 14., meaning we’ve just given you the best Valentine’s Day date idea ever.

Since the government didn’t give us any rights government can’t take them away, sure they can write an unconstitutional law someday in an attempt to strip us of a right the government didn’t give us but it won’t be legal and won’t work. Hollywood please stop making action films with senior citizen ‘heroes’ it’s beyond embarrassing even for you.

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 4:39pmEverything about the Die Hard movies is pretty fantastic, the least of which is Willis’s age. If the movie doesn’t interest you, don’t see it. Personally, I think he’s turned out to be one of the better actors of his generation….and I’ll bet he can kick your crabby behind.

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 6:17pmCome on Momma you think these senior citizen action heroes are realistic? Arnold and Stallone are in their 60′s and it’s comical to think old men can do any of it,I realize it’s just a movie but they’re stretching it with senior citizen’s in these movies. Willis isn’t as old as the other two but even in his case they’re stretching it. I liked Willis early career when he was believable in those roles but now it’s just comical.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 12:11amTruth is, not many can really do any of IT. This genre has long ago jumped the shark take Commando for instance…although Arnold was in his prime do you really believe that one man can carry out a one man demolition derby firing thousands of rounds with hardly a scratch in the end. Rambo movies the same deal.
This display has led to many a person being influenced beyond what is reasonable. After the Vietnam War concluded, several years after the fact, the Left wing media rounded up some vets and they said they were influenced by John Wayne. Was not JW characters just a little more closer to the real thing, he never did anything super human, but it was a feminists attack on his inside character that was on trial by the Left. Oh wow, how did we get here?

His point about hollywood not contributing to this debacle is laughable. For decades hollywood has desensitized us to sicker and sicker stuff, without question this has affected society, so don’t BS me.
Was watching the new Kevin Bacon show “The Following”, that is the sickest stuff I have ever seen on TV or a movie. Not just the gore, but the mind screw, whoever came up with that show should be locked away, and I don’t say that lightly. That show is effed up.

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 5:18pmI agree whole heartedly. I have also noticed that many libs like to MAKE EXCUSES for the bad guys by claiming they acted out because of a movie some nut had seen. I wish they would hold a wacko accountable for their actions REGARDLESS of what they say “made” them do it. We need to tell people of all ages regardless of your motive were STILL going to hold you accountable for YOUR actions. If a person kills another human being and some lib comes along and says “Johnny isn’t bad he was forced to kill because he WATCHED so much violence on TV”. Now if Johnny new before hand that we were not going allow him this excuse it MAY deter him from killing someone. Keep up the good work encimom and you other trolltards (sigh) keep it up.
Just wish these libs would go find a big island to inhabit, develop their so called utopian society, then only to watch it denigrate into the cesspool these types of societies generally turn into over time. Without personal accountability and excuse making any society will turn ino a nightmare over time. Just sayin.

Lethal Weapon movies are also along the same lines.

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 3:24pmNo, A person who has “gone nuts,” can be identified by the loss of goal oriented thinking. That is how a prosecutor can poke holes in an insanity defense, because if the person claiming insanity ever exhibited goal oriented thinking, including taking any precautions for his/her own safety.
The villains in the Die Hard series always exhibit goal oriented thinking to the nth degree.

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 1:44pmRight. We used to lock them up – along with people who shouldn’t have been locked up. Then the liberals came along and said that they all had the right to live how they wanted to live. They emptied out the “asylums”, so they all could be “free”. They didn’t screen the people to see who needed special help and who didn’t. Many found support in their local communities – like the physically disabled, the mentally retarded, etc. They could live in group homes, etc. And some, with support, could be taught and live almost on their own. They never should have been in the “asylums”. BUT…also released were those with severe problems who needed to be protected from themselves as well as from harming others. Also released were many of those who now are homeless and live on the streets. Are all of these people better off? Is society better off with all of them free? Once again, the liberals didn’t use common sense and let the pendulum swing too far. Now we are all suffering from it.

Sure, you can get a license to purchase fully automatic weapons….a very long & arduous process….not to mention expensive. In Georgia, you have to go through a background check for every weapon purchased; even if you hold a C&C license, you still get checked everytime.
Since a background check is mandated (for legal purchases at gun stores), then let me buy a select fire rifle! After all, DHS calls them Personal Defense Weapons.

With a note to the 2nd amendment they are trying to force gun owners to get liability insurance for their firearm.
