Chris Rock: Obama Is ‘Our Boss’, the ‘Dad of the Country’… ‘And When Your Dad Says Something, You Listen’

Comedian Chris Rock(C) delivers brief remarks during a press conference February 6, 2013 on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence held a news conference to call on Congress to act on US President Barack Obama’s plan to reduce gun violence, including background checks for all gun sales and an assault weapons ban. Actor Chris Rock appeared on Capitol Hill on Wednesday to support President Barack Obama’s gun control efforts. He explained that Obama is “our boss” and even argued he is like the “Dad of the country.”
“The President of the United States is, you know, our boss. But he is also, you know, the president and the first lady are kinda like the Mom and Dad of the country,” Rock said. “And when your Dad says something, you listen. And when you don’t, it will usually bite you in the ass later on. So, I’m here to support the president.”
That was about all Rock had to say on Capitol Hill Wednesday, but his remarks are very telling about how he sees Obama.
Rock has previously called for unconventional gun control proposals, including allowing only people with mortgages to buy a gun. He also called for “bullet control” — or making bullets so expensive that no one can afford ammunition — in one of his comedy acts.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Posted on February 6, 2013 at 4:42pmWho cares what Chris “I just crawled out from under a” Rock has to say? Obamas is black, or part black. That’s all that matters to him. If given the choice, most of these fools would love to see Obama crowned king and rule forever. Just gimme my free stuff..Chris doesn’t realize that in Obamas utopia, he would be poor.

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 4:37pmI just have two things to say about this:
1-This explains a lot.
2-Why is does anyone give validity to the opinions of people who spend most of their lives pretending to be someone else, have countless failed relationships, and often rely on chemicals to alter their sense of reality in order to deal with reality. WHO CARES WHAT ACTORS THINK!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 4:36pmMr. Rock! You are SO MISINFORMED! Mr. Obama is NOT YOUR BOSS! He IS YOUR SERVANT! He holds a very special office and that is to SERVE THE AMERICAN PUBLIC! It has NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE! BELIEVE ME, he was NO SLAVE, but a dope-smoking pot-head that has been selected by a process of shadow managers to fill a role he isn’t the least bit qualified for! You just go ahead being stupid! One day the tide will turn and we’ll get the children out of The White House!

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 4:35pmHow come a black president is his “daddy” and we better listen to him but a white president would be “the man” who would just be telling us lies to oppress us? Chris Rock is a moron and sounds like a bad stereotype of a black man from 100 years ago. It is truly pitiful that so many black people are pulled into this nonsense. Chris, Obama is a civil servant who did not get my vote. He’s not my daddy. I already have one (and he was actually married to my mother and lived in the same house as me when I was growing up). I am also quite capable of deciding for myself what is right and wrong. I don’t need you or that lying traitor in the White House to tell me. Obama is a fraud who probably couldn’t pass a spelling test if a white guy didn’t give him the answers.

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 4:32pmWhen your dad is smoking crack, and decides it’s time to create gun free zones around schools, so the criminals know your kids are sitting ducks, is that the time to be quiet and listen to your dad, or tell him to put the crack pipe down that smokes our civil liberties and remind him he has an ethical obligation to protect his family like God told him to, like he swore on the Holy Bible to do?
The fact that we have to fight entertainers and tell our children not to listen to them because they are full of dangerous ideas, is very annoying? I hope they boycott your work Mr. Comedian, maybe you should go home and call your dad, and ask for assistance with what life is all about, don’t expect us to ask President Obama a gosh golly gee darn thing, we understand what his job is, the media fight us tooth and nail to cover up what he wanted to do that we did not want, and probably stole the election?
Listen to the People?
In God we trust, not President Obama?

Posted on February 6, 2013 at 4:26pmEvery conservative with any hope of shifting the power base needs to pay close attention to this. It is the mentality brought about by a dumbed-down, parent-starved generation of child-rearing. We gave our kids over to the public school system, let them run wild in the streets the rest of the time, turned a blind eye to the breakdown of the family structure, created a culture of hopelessness and helplessness and this is what we are left with. They don’t know they are believing in a phantom, they’ve never seen the real thing. To battle it, we need first to embrace it. It will take another generation (or two) to correct, though, and in the meantime we are in deep trouble. Usually, the society needs to just fall apart before it can be rebuilt on the remnant of goodness that remains after the fall. Whichever way it transpires, we aren’t doing ourselves any good being outraged without the soul-searching and incisive evaluation of the problem needed to begin to address it.
