Comedian Chris Rock(C) delivers brief remarks during a press conference February 6, 2013 on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence held a news conference to call on Congress to act on US President Barack Obama’s plan to reduce gun violence, including background checks for all gun sales and an assault weapons ban. Actor Chris Rock appeared on Capitol Hill on Wednesday to support President Barack Obama’s gun control efforts. He explained that Obama is “our boss” and even argued he is like the “Dad of the country.”
“The President of the United States is, you know, our boss. But he is also, you know, the president and the first lady are kinda like the Mom and Dad of the country,” Rock said. “And when your Dad says something, you listen. And when you don’t, it will usually bite you in the ass later on. So, I’m here to support the president.”
That was about all Rock had to say on Capitol Hill Wednesday, but his remarks are very telling about how he sees Obama.
Rock has previously called for unconventional gun control proposals, including allowing only people with mortgages to buy a gun. He also called for “bullet control” — or making bullets so expensive that no one can afford ammunition — in one of his comedy acts.

Hey Chris – Statistically, it’s a very strong possibility YOU grew up without a father, so I can see your need to see him that way. Black men bailing out on their responsibilties is a major part of the problems decimating Black American success in this country. However the rest of us do not need, nor do we wish to, look at Barry as a father figure. He is a HORRIBLE example for anything that America stands – should I say stood ? – for.
PS – If my father threw a baseball like him I would pretend I didn’t know the guy.

Feb. 6, 2013 at 7:05pmThe king of filth has spoken but said nothing. Most of what Obama has to say is nothing of value. When he stops the campaign act and starts to be president and make decisions of worth, the country may listen. This daddy crap is stupid!

Feb. 6, 2013 at 6:50pmWhat’s a man in a clerical collar doing standing behind a pro-abortionist? He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. No true Christian can, with a clear conscience, endorse a pro-homosexual, anti-life individual.

Feb. 6, 2013 at 6:32pmDo you know how to spell IDIOT, that is what you are. Whether you want Obama to be your daddy I don’t. I was raised to think for myself, not to walk, talk and think like a robot when someone tells me what I should believe. Unfortunately, there are to many like you walking, talking, water carriers without actually knowing or caring what you are spouting. Most Democrats and many Republicans have drank the kook aide. Like Jim Jones and his cult, when Obama hands you the poisoned kook aid to drink you gonna drink it.

Feb. 6, 2013 at 6:26pmThis is what the Democrats and their low information dupes have lowered themselves to, like a spoiled child wanting a toy in the store “Mommy, gimme, gimme, I want it, gimme, gimme, gimme” No Junior, we can’t afford it right now! “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, I want it. No, you morons cannot have your gun control! Our 2nd Amendment is a proud part of our American heritage and to tamper with it or gut our Amendments would be treason. The socialist left needs to stop embarrassing themselves crying & screaming for gun control. I wish our stupid “embarrassment to the world president” would put the same intensity on job creation!
