Texas Gun Shop Owner Not Happy With CNN, Piers Morgan: ‘They Completely Misrepresented What I Wanted to Get Across’

Texas Gun Shop Owner Claims CNN, Piers Morgan Misrepresented His Comments on Guns

CNN host Piers Morgan, a vocal gun control advocate, traveled to Katy, Texas this week to supposedly learn about guns at a local gun shop and shooting range. Morgan chose Katy’s Tactical Firearms as the location for his show Monday where he interviewed the owner and delved into the contentious gun debate with guests like Ted Nugent and Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.

But Jeremy Alcede, owner of Tactical Firearms, claims CNN “completely misrepresented” the message he wanted get across, KIAH-TV reports.

Alcede said he was excited that Morgan appeared genuine in his desire to actually shoot and learn about firearms. Many have been critical of Morgan’s strict anti-gun stance given the fact that he has very little experience handling firearms.

He recounted what Morgan told him: “He said, ‘well, I’d like to learn more about guns. People criticize me, saying, how can I be against guns if I don’t know anything about guns?’”

“I said man, this is going to be really good, he really is wanting to find out,” Alcede said.

Unfortunately, the owner feels like he was misled by CNN and Morgan. Alcede argues that CNN told him the segment would be aired live, but it wasn’t. He also says the network edited and chopped his remarks up so badly that he wasn’t able to get his point across at all.

“They completely misrepresented what I wanted to get across, completely,” Alcede said.

He went on: “The points that I did make were just garbled to the point that people were asking why was I speaking in broken sentences, and I said, look back at the video and you’ll see, in one instance I’m wearing glasses, one I’m not. One hearing protection, one not. They just chopped it up so bad it wasn’t even funny.”

CNN did not immediately return calls from KIAH-TV.

Seriously,…what did these guys think! They are coming for the guns and nothing is going to change their minds.

My senator chris murphy is now claiming 40% of all sales are done without a background checks. If he can out right lie and no one calls him on it, do you think anyone is going to get a honest chance of making their case.

From his letter:

Research has demonstrated again and again that background checks are effective in keeping guns out of the hands of potential criminals, and most American households–gun-owners and non-owners alike–agree on the importance of this safeguard. Mr. Alcede, there are more people with you than you can imagine. You have experienced Stalinist, Hitleresk treatment. We are all going to be called to stand up and be counted. You stood up, I thank you, please know that you are not alone. We are in the midst of the fight of our lives, and unfortunately the stupid, ignorant, koolaide drinkers outnumber us 10+ to 1, just a guess, fear it is worse. It is America’s worst nightmare and foretold over and over again. Our forefathers feared it, and those that followed predicted it. So what are we to do? Am heartened by the common sense of Americans that are arming themselves. It means that at a gut level people believe we have the right to defend ourselves.

  I was listening to Joe Pags’s interview with Alcede this morning on The 950 in Houston. I was glad to hear Alcede has his OWN video of Piers’s visit. I can’t wait to see what Alcede’s cameras reveal about that lying weasel. Hope that video goes viral and people realize what what a fraud Piers is. As of early Wednesday morning, the ammo this jerk used during the visit hadn’t been paid for. About $1000 worth of ammo. I hope that’s been taken care of by now.
  
  Why didn’t Piers just stay with whatever talent show it was he was working on? Who picked him to replace Larry King anyway? I’m guessing Piers has made his last visit to Texas. He’s about as welcome there now as a case of smallpox. It was bad enough five gun shops didn’t want him in their businesses, then he shafts the one that gives him a chance. Ungrateful schmuck.

My goodness. Piers and CNN misrepresented something they don’t agree with? Mr Alcede has apparently been off planet for the last few years , otherwise he would have known they would misrepresent/creatively edit the piece to say what they want it to.

If we all stop clicking on liberal sites and channels, eventually they will have to change to support themselves. You can see what they say somewhere else.
Everytime you click on one of their sites or channels, that puts another penny of ad money in their pocket.
They won’t change and report the news straight until they have to.
