Mirza Teletovic is a 27-year-old NBA rookie out of Bosnia who plays for the Brooklyn Nets and only averages about 8.1 minutes of playing time per game. After his performance in Wednesday’s match-up against the Detroit Pistons, that number could be cut in half.
Why? Well, he airballed three shots in a row after his coach put him in the game with his team up by just one point in the middle of the fourth quarter. And they weren’t even kind of close.
The Huffington Post details how it went down:
…Teletovic got a wide open look from the left wing and took a 3-pointer.
Airball.
On Brooklyn’s next possession, Teletovic got the ball on the left win again. This time, he drove to his left and hoisted a fadeaway jumper from 16 feet out.
Airball.
Following a charging foul on Detroit’s Brandon Knight, Teletovic got the ball at the top of the key and tried another 3-pointer.
Airball.
“Three airballs in a row. That has to be an NBA record,” the announcer remarked.
Each of Teletovic’s airballs reportedly occurred within 40 seconds of each other. He was soon yanked and replaced with Gerald Wallace by Nets interim coach P.J. Carlesimo. The Nets went on to win 93-30.

Feb. 8, 2013 at 12:41pmThe nets ended up winning 93 – 30 huh? That’s quite a feat since the video starts with detroit having 73 points. The nets are so good they actually took 43 points away from the pistons.

Feb. 8, 2013 at 10:15amIf you’re going to intentionally ‘throw’ the game for your mob cronies, don’t make it so obvious.
To “The Blaze” ENOUGH of these “You won’t believe this ….bla-bla-bla crap” videos. If we want cute stuff or meaningless crap, we can find it ourselve’s on YouTube when we actually have nothing important in life to do. Are you actually PAYING somebody to surf YoutTube videos and post the ones that excite them here? If so, can I do that as a work from home job so I can get paid to do meaningless stuff? If you want to set yourself apart from other media outlets, then stop posting these crap videos and stick to events and issues that actually affect our world, country and lives.
