Former Green Bay Packers Cheerleader Gives Amazing Response to Bullies
Former Green Bay Packers cheerleader Kaitlyn Collins didn’t do anything to deserve the relentless taunting and bullying she received at the hands of countless commenters on the Chicago Bears Facebook fan page. But after all, bullies don’t need a reason to be ugly.
The page, which has over 86,000 likes, ran a photo of Collins with the caption: “Like If You Agree The Packers Have The Worst Cheerleaders In The NFL!” The post alone implies there is something wrong with Collins as a cheerleader, but it was nothing compared to the abuse she had to endure. The Packers-Bears rivalry is arguably the most intense in all of the NFL, so things got nasty in a hurry.
Collins decided to stand up to her bullies and posted the following video, calling attention to the fan page, but also calling out many of her attackers by name.
“Doesn’t get any uglier. Truly and eyesore,” one commenter wrote.
“LMAO fugly,” another posted.
“I’d still f**k her, but only from behind on with a paper bag over her head,” a particularly disgusting Facebook user wrote.
To be fair, Collins also expressed gratitude to some Chicago Bears fans who came to her defense.
“That video, a silent spool of signs, is well worth watching. ‘Cyberbullying’ may seem like a media concoction or an overreaction, but to the people who have suffered the words of others, it’s real and it’s painful to the point of real damage,” the Yahoo! Sports blog Shutdown Corner correctly notes.
Eventually the Bears fan page removed the post and asked users to “respect one another and do not bully on this page.” This is, of course, after the page itself implied that Collins represented the “worst cheerleaders in the NFL.”
“We did not see all the posts to take down the Cheerleader pic until today,” the page’s administrators wrote on Thursday. “We get hundreds of messages per day and are not always on here. The issue has been resolved. Please respect one another and do not bully on this page.”
In case you are wondering, the Green Bay Packers haven’t had official cheerleaders since 1988 due mostly to “fan indifference.” Instead, the team allows cheerleaders from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and St. Nortbert College to appear at home games. Collins was a student at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay during the time she cheered for the Packers.
If you think Collins’ stand against bullies was awesome, let her know in the comments section below.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 9:48pmYou are very attractive and natural and I hope you are very proud of that and I’m pretty sure you have real intelligence behind your very pretty face. A large number of pro foot ball cheerleaders I’ve seen are hard looking and fake.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 8:33pmI find that you have more class in your little finger than all the “bullies” combined. Most people of low intelligence try to bring people down to make themselves feel better. I sometimes think they hate themselves o they take it out on others. I think you are very attractive, inside and out. Obviously, they are jealous of you and the fact that you are a cheerleader. The fact that the Chicago Beats team and management did not respond sooner and with stronger words says a lot about the character of the owners, managers, coaches and players. Shame on you (the Bears) for allowing people to put you in such a negative lowlife position.
I also applaud the classic and professional way you handled your response to this. They need to take lesson from you. Feel good about yourself…..your beauty, intelligence and class shine like a beacon. They will reap what they sow.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 6:56pmI think she is an incredibly courageous and beautiful person and was touched by her video. If only there were more people like her in the world. She rose above the situation and handled it with dignity and grace. Those who wrote such terrible things should hang their head in shame and learn from this. What she said is true, another suicide could have happened from bullying if their target was not surrounded by the love and support of her friends and family. I tip my hat to this person and the family and friends that stand behind her. Well done!

After 37 years of marriage and wonderful children and grand-children you come to find out it is this young lady who is the Gem in the diamond mine and any man @ that game would be lucky to have her for a life-time.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 5:49pmKaitlyn, if you are reading this, please know that the one who wrote their ugly comments are showing “their ugly soul” and their true character. What makes one be a bully? It is a deep disrespect for others and envy and jealousy? Is it hate and anger toward anyone who is not like “them”. We are seeing a huge amount of people showing how retarded and evil they are. It makes them look bad, not you as they reveal their true selves to the whole world. It’s not cool, it’s savage as they gang up on one person as they cut them into pieces. Feel pity for them, because what they give will come back to them in a big way, in their own children to to themselves because they will bring sorrow to their family and at some point in time it will come back to them.
You, dear lady, ARE beautiful, and that picture of you shows the spirit of America, clean, innocent, beautiful, apple pie, well mannered, kind, considerate, thoughtful, and the poster girl of what a real person is and should be. Be VERY proud of that picture because there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with it, or about it, but EVERYTHING right about it. You have a beautiful sweet smile. It’s respectful, it’s wholesome, it’s lovely. It’s a picture your parents, your children, and your friends are proud of. I am so proud of you for being a shinning light of America girl. Go with dignity knowing that you are lovely, and it shows from the inside out. Kudos on your YouTube video, it shows your integrity and in

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 5:16pm….Never say anything online you do not have the balls say to their face! If that simple rule was respected we would have far far fewer problems online. But sadly, many people are spineless insignificant little cowards trying in vain to validate their pointless existences by tearing others down so that they themselves feel elevated….GROW UP!….( OH! btw this applies to trolls as well!)

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 4:55pmI think this young lady is pretty and would be proud if she were my daughter. As for Chicago, don’t worry too much about those folks. We’ve seen the crap that dump have given us. I wouldn’t even admit it if I were from there. Thank goodness for the grace of God, I am not.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 4:52pmUnfortunately this kind of behavior is common place for Bears Fans. My wife and I visited Soldier Field along with another couple a few years ago. We also are Packer Fans. My wife had beer thrown on her from behind by some mean drunk. My friend was attacked when he went to the mens room by a group of Bears fans. Chicago is not the only out of control stadium….Oakland, Phyllidephia, and others are also just as bad or worse. There is something wrong with our society when you cannot take you child to a football game without risking a serious fight. It starts with the breakdown of the family home, and continues thru the “do whatever you want” school system. I feel really sad for our country.
PS……..just for the record…..ANYBODY, rooting for ANY team, can go to Lambeau and will be safe.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 4:51pmWhy do cheerleaders have to be good looking? Thats horrible.
But lets talk about the dirty TRUTH!!
Green Bay Packers are owned by the city of Green Bay. Green Bay chooses to pay more in taxes so they can brag about how the people of the city owns the team. This is another form of communism, I’m sure not every person in town supports paying the taxes for the team. You would think, that the communist ownership of a professional football team would at least, release a statement about the fact this poor girl was a college student volunteer. Truth is, if a 1%’er capitalist owned the team, he would hire cheerleaders for home games.
Thank you Mr Buisnessman, for knowing what people talk about and what we want to see with your product.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 6:18pmSorry but you are wrong, the Green Bay Packer are not owned by the city of Green Bay, they are owned by the people of WI who buy shares of stock. Green Bay is the only team in the NFL who does not have just one owner and is also why they are the smallest franchise in the NFL yet have the most dedicated fans.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 6:38pmOh and by the way, leave your dang OWS/ Union rant out of it, because it has absolutely nothing to do with said article.
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_owns_the_Green_Bay_Packer_team
If you read this, it will tell you who owns the Packers. In 1950 the Packers sold shares to 1,900 local residents, but since then stocks have been sold to any resident of WI.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 4:47pmHi Kaitlyn! You are such a lovely person and I’m so sorry that there are so many thoughtless, nasty people in the world who use social media to bully others. They are cowards, hiding behind computer screens, for sure, and I would imagine, self-hating to some degree (most bullies are). One has to feel pity for them, in a way.
I have to say that this is one of the reasons I refuse to be on Facebook or any other social media.
Your video was very classy – good job!

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 4:40pmGB, Blaze, and Green Bay – Thanks.
To Kaitlyn Collins: Success in all that you do is my prayer, thank you for answering the folly and hate of some with kindness and wisdom.
To those LOOSERS that think the bully wins. . . have I got a word for you? No not worth the time.
To Facebook Management: Your a publicly traded stock now and sponsors might not view, allowing this activity to continue, as a financially responsible act. Especially the Wisconsin advertisers… They might take their advertisement to a competitor like teapartycommunity.com or some other social network like Orkut. That would be real JUSTICE. Better than a suit.
