GOP Rep: Obama’s Second Term Won’t Be Any Better for America Than the First

The American unemployment rate has plateaued around 7.8 percent for the last four months, and a handful of big companies like Best Buy, Sears and Hannaford have announced recent layoffs. President Obama has still not presented a budget for the next fiscal year leading to questions from conservatives about the president’s priorities on the economy, as he has kicked off term two with legislative pushes on Immigration and gun control.

On ‘Wilkow!‘ Thursday Republican Rep. Scott Perry came on to discuss the president’s inability to slow down job loss, and what the Republican Party can do to call attention to Obama’s push for more spending and taxes without any evidence of economic improvement.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

The second term better than the first? Who could be so naive? The president is a fascist. Congress is spineless, at best. The majority of the media are co-conspirators. Half the American population is so stupid as to be a danger to themselves. How could you even consider a different outcome?

But know doubt it will be better than Bush’s second term. And for the people who can’t figure out what’s really going on with the economy I’ll summarize. Since Reagan the economy has been buoyed up by Federal spending (Reagan, Bush Sr., Bush Jr.), capital gains spending (Clinton) and borrowing (Bush Sr., Bush Jr., Obama). This occurred because starting in the 1980′s the federal government entered into countless “free trade” agreements that were one sided at best and placed us on a race to the bottom in terms of wages. When these things long term things are combined you have a stalled economy that will not likely ever return to the real glory days of the 1950′s. 1960′s and first half of the 1970′s or the artificial glory days of the 1990′s or early 2000′s. Look at the job creation in every state and you will find that the average wage in real dollars is significantly below what the average wage was in 1980. Of course since then prices on everything has risen, so you have incredible downward pressure on demand. And for those people who can actually think for themselves, it is DEMAND that creates jobs not the wealthy. If that was the case the concentration of wealth would not continue on the trend where fewer and fewer individuals own more and more of the wealth. The decline in real wages and the concentration of wealth are the two longer term issues that are negatively effecting the economy.

Didn’t he say that he will have more leeway after the election? The second term will be worse than the first.

By the way, why was the Consumer Price Index changed Mr. Bloomberg? Do you drag the media kicking and screaming to your press events so you can create these distractions from real stories like the Consumer Price Index, which would effect the security rules regulating much of the investments in New York for business and retirements?

Maybe if Glenn Beck and the rest of us take the time to explain the possibilities, parties with celebrities and vacations to Spain just are not important anymore?

We are going to make our own lives better, applying peer pressure to politicians to defend the US Constitution and do the right thing, such as not send one dime overseas to Islamic states that support the Nation of Islam, and teach our kids to be healthy, wealthy, wise and free, despite the best efforts of tyrants that want to ban civil rights?

If we don’t, you are going to look back at 2009 and say that was a good year?

He can’t fix the economy, so distraction is the name of the game. Honestly I don’t think mr. humility has any real understanding of how our highly evolved barter system (capitalism) really works, and he can’t bear to admit that ( or doesn’t realize the depths of his ignorance).

Keep the facts coming. There is the unemployment rate, and the people able to work who are unemployed. ( Some of them don’t count as unemployed because they gave up looking, or for other reasons) Show what % of the employable population is unemployed. Show the breakdown, who isn’t being counted in the official numbers on unemployment. Show all the numbers and track them over time. Graph it and get the facts out… and not just to the people who already agree with us.

Show the numbers calculated by different means at various times… a black line for the rate of employable people unemployed, green for statistics calculated under the methods now being used, blue for statistical methods used in another administration…. show them all over time. Then bring up a chart showing food assistance relative to population, and graph that over time as well. Finally, show the black line from the previous chart imposed over the chart on food assistance.

Provide specifics on what is being included in your numbers, and how they are calculated. Offer links to government websites where the numbers can be checked. Give doubters easy access to the data you used, and the means to run similar calc
