This morning, President Barack Obama spoke at the annual National Prayer Breakfast address, during which he highlighted his Christian faith, praised Martin Luther King Jr. and Abraham Lincoln and encouraged the nation, despite intense ideological differences, to find common ground. Painting a stark difference when compared to past speeches in which he pointed to a more complex and less flattering picture of Christian scripture, Obama heralded the Bible as a sustaining document with the power to teach important lessons.
At the beginning of his address, he said that the annual National Prayer Breakfast is an opportunity for the nation to come together “not as Democrats or Republicans, but as brothers and sisters and children of God.” This theme of togetherness was one that followed throughout the president’s speech, as he told those in attendance that the United States is a country that is continuously humbled by its history and “ever-attentive to our imperfections.”

“We come together because we’re a people of faith. We know that faith is something that must be cultivated,” Obama proclaimed. “Faith is not a possession. Faith is a process.”
In addressing the importance of seeking a higher power, Obama cited Hebrews 11:6, which reads, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
From there, the message turned more intensely religious, with the president noting the importance of going to God regularly.
“As Christians we place our faith in the nail-scarred hands of Jesus Christ, but so many other Americans also know the close embrace of faith,” he said, noting that Muslims, Jews — even secular Americans — have a deep faith in America.
Obama praised both King and Lincoln, noting their resolve and reliance upon scripture to take them through some of the most divisive periods in American history. Through the Bible, these men found important lessons from the Lord, he claimed.
“In the words of God he found a truth about the dignity of man that once realized he never relinquished,” the president said of King.
As for Lincoln, who faced fierce opposition and a nation very literally divided during the Civil War, Obama had similar accolades.
“In Lincoln’s eyes, the power of faith was humbling, allowing us to embrace our limits in knowing God’s will and as a consequence that he was able to see God in those who vehemently opposed him,” he continued.

Perhaps one of the most striking elements of Obama’s speech centered upon the nation’s current ideological division, a paradigm that he related back to the challenges faced by past leaders. While he said that today’s splinters are nowhere near as dangerous and pronounced, he believes they require tamed behaviors from people on both sides of the aisle.
“In the midst of all these debates, we must keep that same humility that Dr. King and Lincoln, Washington and our great leaders understood,” he said. “It is at the core of good leadership.”
The president, who in the past has been accused by critics of spawning divisiveness, called for common ground and for people to seek nuggets of truth even in opposing views. Rather than leaving the prayer breakfast and forgetting the lessons learned, he encouraged citizens to make a concerted effort to temper themselves when it comes to national debate.
“I do worry sometimes that as soon as we leave the prayer breakfast…everything we were talking about…has been forgotten,” he said. ”My hope is that humility — that that carries over every day, every moment. While God may reveal his plan to us in portions, the expanse of his plan is for God and God alone to understand.”

That will prove the point once and for all – he is a phony.

Feb. 7, 2013 at 10:57amTh Power of God, the Grace of God and the Love of God are stronger than any man’s past.
Saul was the greatest enemy of Christ, then came the road to Damascus, and the Apostle Paul became HIS greatest champion.
For America’s sake, for your sake, for your children’s sake—pray for Obama.

Feb. 7, 2013 at 10:55amIt is easy, to pick in choose, out of content & context, to support immorality, ignorance & fraud. Many clergy even do that…but why talk about faith, in the mindset Obama tried to pass in his agendas? Because many will take his teleprompter words as facts…without doing what God calls ALL of His to do. VERIFY!
If we look past what Obama said, you get to this verse on faith:
(Hebrew 12: 14-16) Make every effort to live in peace with everyone & to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God & that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble & defile many. See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.
If you look before Obama statement of ‘faith’ you come to this:
(Hebrews 10:26-29) “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment & of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
As anyone can see, mocking what God’s definition of ‘faith’ and ‘grace’, will one day meet wrat

Feb. 7, 2013 at 10:55amRemember even Satan knew scripture to temp Christ in the garden but twisted it 90 degrees at the end. Could Obama have had a change of heart? With God’s grace it is possible. His action will be proof of humility and a rebuke to Satan’s pride. Heb 11:6 KJV But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Feb. 7, 2013 at 10:53amWhat a mockery for a Marxist to be addressing Christians and calling on the name of the Lord.
What would he know about faith and Christianity after sitting in Wright’s church for 20 years then denying his vitriol? Remember these are not Obama’s words but those of a speech writer who can sling it with the best of the propagandists and help the spawn of the great deceiver look like a saint. A silver tongued devil par excellence.

Feb. 7, 2013 at 10:50amObama still can’t get over how bad he thinks America has been.
“….he told those in attendance that the United States is a country that is continuously humbled by its history and “ever-attentive to our imperfections.”
According to Obama faith is now a progressive idea as long as it is a universalist type of faith. It doesn’t matter what your faith is in as long as you have faith, esp. faith in government.
Obama proclaimed. “Faith is not a possession. Faith is a process.”
“As Christians we place our faith in the nail-scarred hands of Jesus Christ, but so many other Americans also know the close embrace of faith,” he said, noting that Muslims, Jews — even secular Americans have a deep faith in America.
Then he said everyone should just start agreeing with him more.
“The president, who in the past has been accused by critics of spawning divisiveness, called for common ground and for people to seek nuggets of truth even in opposing views. “
Let’s see; America is bad, Government is good and all knowing, agree with me, the smartest Prez. ever, and I’ll get you more Government. Sounds more like the typical Obama speech to me!

Feb. 7, 2013 at 10:48amFor the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. We are not like the bereans, searching scripture daily. By not knowing what God says, America will buy into the lies of such leadership.
“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches”. You will find that sentence seven times in the New testment. It takes an indwelling of “The Holy Spirit” to know the truth. To discern what truely is “The Way”. one must be born again.
This Clown, Obama is a fat lier.

Feb. 7, 2013 at 10:46am‘While God may reveal his plan in portions, the expanse of his plan is for God, and God alone to understand.’ Obama
There is a narrative in this ambiguous quote that outlines Obama himself. He quotes this, not because his belief in GOd is akin to Moses, Paul, the baptist, Noah, (for the book of Hebrews he cites references great men of faith and God) but to draw attention to himself- ‘his plan in portions……Expanse hidden…….God alone can understand….’ all traits, thoughts, desires of his own lordship- for his very actions prove (by an attempt to destroy the second amendment for
example) he desires a seat higher than God’s.
He is deemed ‘lord;’ ‘omnipotent dad…’ and refuses to rebuke such deviant thought. He accepts the worship of the MSM, and looming on the horizon is the kissing of the ring… His vapid words at the prayer breakfast are not his own thoughts, they are prerecorded to sell an idea of balance.
His quoting scripture is entirely self serving- and there are more than a few folks who can see beyond the veneer. By the way, the devil knows more scripture than Obama, he is no more a christian, and has more in common with Obama than one would think; hint P R I D E …..
Obama will go down as the most arrogant man to ever occupy the ofc. His despising of Israel is a clue as well

Have to hand it to the man, from his assumed accent and patter speaking down south about ‘Selma’ to his prayer here, the man can read an audience.
It’s too bad it’s all an act, and that so many fall for it…
What is needed… what has been needed, is someone to stand up, speak the hard truth, admit the mistakes, accept responsibility, and ACT to guide us away from this current path.
beginning with the poll chasing Clinton used throughout his presidency, through today’s poll manipulation by the media, the purpose of our leaders has been lost, their only focus now advancing their ideology regardless of the facts and outcomes, and collecting and preserving their own wealth and power…

Feb. 7, 2013 at 10:38amPresident Obama is what we call in “Bible circles” as a “charlatan (one who talks much on what they believe and to fit their own agenda).
President Obama keeps calling himself a Christian but that doesn’t back up with what he says! Jesus says in Luke 6:45-46–A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
What is coming out of President Obama’s heart and mouth is “evil”. President Obama believes in “sodomite marriages”! President Obama says “he has evolved” about that issue. A Christian does not “evolve” a true Christian “repents” of that “awful sin”. God destroyed cities over that sin. President Obama believes in “abortion” and killing “innocent Americans by way of drones”. Only God has the right to take a life. President Obama believes in placing his hand on the Bible and swearing to God to “protect and defend the Constitution of the United States”. President Obama has usurped authority over the Constitution. God have mercy on President Obama’s soul and we need to pray for him, because if he doesn’t repent, he will die and go to a devil’s hell.
