Pool Report Outs Sleepy John Kerry: ‘Open Mouth’ Yawning Throughout National Prayer Breakfast

It seems Secretary of State John Kerry is having some trouble adjusting to his new schedule.

America’s brand new top diplomat yawned most of the way through the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington on Thursday, according to the White House pool report.

Kerry, sitting next to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was seated “front and center” in the audience and started yawning several minutes into the keynote speech “and basically didn’t stop.”

Kerry yawned “open mouth gaping,” “sometimes stifling and covering with a hand, sometimes not.” He continued during President Barack Obama’s speech “along with eye-rubbing.”

No clear photos catching Kerry in action were immediately released; we’ll update if any become available.

OK, first and foremost Kerry doesn’t care what is said, don’t you know he’s his own man and doesn’t care what others say or think. And secondly he was up all night trying to figure out what he will do with his yacht when he’s gone and how he can evade paying more taxes and lastly, Pelosi was on fire with enthusiasm for Obama and Kerry was just feeling the heat and the need for a little nap.

  You’re funny! I had no idea the President was a sheet! The National Prayer Breakfast is not a government function and it isn’t possible for the White House to cancel it, or Congress for that matter. It is put on every year by a Conservative organization called the Fellowship Foundation otherwise known as “The Family” and President Obama has attended and even spoken at the thing, but there is NOTHING in his job description that requires him to go.

  I try to honor his service, but the DISSERVICE he did to every other service man and woman in Vietnam upon his return, and again to those serving in Iraq make finding ANY positive in this opportunistic elitist difficult.
