‘Mark of the Beast’: Man Receives W-2 Bearing ’666,’ Immediately Quits Job
If you received a document stamped with the number “666,” what would you do?
For this one Tennessean maintenance worker, getting a W-2 tax form bearing the “mark of the beast” meant quitting his job:
Walter Slonopas, 52, told The Tennessean that accepting the number would have condemned his soul to hell.
“If you accept that number, you sell your soul to the devil,” he said.
That number, traditionally a symbol for the devil, is found in the Bible’s Book of Revelation describing the apocalypse.
The company that handles payroll for Slonopas’ former employer, Contech Casting LLC., says the number meant the maintenance worker’s form was the 666th one mailed out.
Slonopas, a self-proclaimed “born again Christian,” says he had trouble with the number before.
“In July 2011, the company changed time clock systems, and once again Slonopas got 666. This time he quit. The company apologized and he returned to work a few days later,” The Tennessean reports.
For their part, Contech is stunned that one of its employees is something of a magnet for the number.
“I am completely at a loss for words,” said company spokesman Bob LaCourciere.
LaCourciere says Contech would send a new W-2 and wants to rehire Slonopas. But Slonopas says “God is worth more than money.”
Slonopas’ wife, Anna, assures The Tennessean that although they are out of work, they’ll be just fine.
“If my husband makes $10, one goes to God, two go to savings, and we live on seven,” she said. “It’s not that my husband makes $10 and I spend $11.”
The company says it will try to rehire him.
“We’d love to have him back,” said LaCourciere.

The Mark of the Beast is the sum of the letters in an Roman Emperor’s name using the Jewish numerology of that time. Or at least I think it is.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 8:03pmVery good. It is the total sum of “Ceasar Nero”. Which of course who John of Patmos was speaking of when crafting what turned out to be the Book of Revelations at the end of the Bible. This was only a couple of decades after Jesus of Nazareth challenged Roman and Jewish authority and met his brutal and forseen death. The Roman Empire received its first blow in 9 AD up in the area of Gemany when a whole legion was slaughtered in Tutenburg Forrest. John saw a demonic leader in Nero and accurately but wittingly put the events to paper. It is likely that John was very aware of the dangers of speaking negatively about Roman leadership as Patmos granted him the seclusion he needed. Buildings do not have a 13th floor. Can’t we write software programs that will avoid this number?

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 9:32pmwhat? 666 has to do with the 6th seal, 6th trumpet, and 6th vial. The mark has to do with your hand and head (where it is placed) symbolizing what you think and do. Where is God placed in the life He allows you to live; is He first in everything or not?

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 9:34pmNo, the Mark of the Beast has nothing to do with a Roman Emperor or the numerical number total of his name. Concerning the Beast-666, Jesus told Brother John that this Beast was a previous World ruler, who was currently dead at the writing of the Book of Revelation in 95-96 AD. Jesus said, “The Beast that you saw “was” and “is not”, (meaning that he was dead and ruled in the past); he said. “Five are fallen and one is” and two more were to arise, of which Adolf Hitler was the 7th. But, the Beast, who is to come out of the Abyss-the bottomless pit, is actually one of the dead previous five total World rulers.
I believe the Beast-666 is none other than Alexander the Great.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 10:12pmWhat a maroon quitting his job over that or any other number on a tax form. Quitting for lousy pay, a lousy boss, or a lousy job, yeah I can see that. No ReconRambo, the beast (when not talking about the system) is the author of that system. It is none other than the devil himself when he arrives looking like an angel of light claiming to be god. Not being prepared to mentally handle the supernatural powers the world will wonder after him and believe he is God, or Christ. Antichrist is merely “instead of Christ” in the Greek. Meaning he is a fake. If they worship him, work for him, then they have received the mark. Your brain is in your forehead. If you believe and follow, you have the mark there. Your power to do work is in your hand. If you work for him, you have the mark there. It is as simple as that. Right now the devil is only here in spirit. Numbers on a W2 mean nothing spiritual (yet). When he arrives in person, look out. I doubt that day is very far away now.

really….so I take it you believe that the Bible is just a story and not divinely inspired and directed??
because Adolf Hitler, Ronald Reagan, and several other seemingly good and evil people through out history also have their names associated with 666 in Jewish numerology. Pope John Paul II and many US Presidents are also on that list….
There are even some “scholars” out there that claim the number is 663 or 669…or that it is actually the “mark of the Beast” not the “number of the Beast” because the translation was off….
My major code in college was 666 and we all took it as a joke because our major was HELL….
Some say we all have already been “marked” since we have Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, passports….
The Nazi’s would tattoo serial numbers on people in the camps….
We give criminals numbers…heck we even given children student ID numbers….every person on the planet that lives in a G20 country is numbers and tracked and tagged and bagged already….
If the “number” or “mark” simply meant Caesar Nero then how can psycho Calvinists still push the RCC as the “whore of Babylon” or the “Dragon” in the book of Revelations….if it all was meant about the Roman Empire….meaning Nero was the anti-Christ??
Despite what your faith is or what you believe….you have to be consistent. Either the Book of Revelation was about the Roman Empire and the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD or not.

Posted on February 8, 2013 at 11:40amThe number “666″ is a symbolic number that the Revelation attaches to the “beast” that Satan controls.
The “Beast” that Satan controls is the United Nations, and the nations who give it their admiration, cooperation and support. So in symbolic language, “666″ is merely a ‘man’s number’, it is from man, not God.
This is a subject for sincere Bible students and if a person does not want to invest the time and energy to understand, it will remain in the category of superstition and fear of three sixes in line with each other. “The truth will set you free”

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 7:30pmIt is a shame that this man chose to quit his job for this reason. The mark of the beast; Revelation 13:16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Now if he gets a tattoo with 666 on his forehead or hand; or has a microchip implanted in those areas, then he should have cause to be concerned. Also he did not state that he was forced to worship the beast. It is amazing how Christians can misinterpret scripture. It is a great loss to him and the company he worked for. Seeing that he quit his job, he will not be getting unemployment benefits either. I am sure the Lord will provide for him; i.e. He will find work elsewhere or come to his senses after much prayer and meditation and return to his old job where he is liked and needed.

Don’t do Satan’s work or let him lead your mind. 666 is for the 6th Seal, 6th vial and 6th trump. Lucifer is not going to deceive by tattooing etc. He is going to act as if he is Christ. This is to trick Christians into worshiping him and doing his work i.e Bringing others to him. The rapture doctrine is his way to get many believers. Do not let anyone do your bible study for you. Not even your Pastor! Ask the Lord to lead you as you seek him. One more thing. Study with the King James Bible. Many have told me the other versions and easier to understand. God will give you understanding as he will. These others are another mans.
