Who Is Time’s GOP ‘Savior’ & What Does He Have To Say About It?
Much like Newsweek, Time magazine will from time to time (get it?) publish a thought-provoking or controversial cover.
This week, it chose Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) as its subject:
And perhaps a little embarrassed by the slightly over-the-top rhetoric, Sen. Rubio responded to the cover with this tweet:
There is only one savior, and it is not me. #Jesus
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) February 7, 2013
Well how about that?
UPDATE — Time magazine responds:
@marcorubio Point taken, but we just said you’re the ‘Republican savior.’

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 10:43amOnce again the Liberal press is picking the Republican Presidential nominee for the GOP. Then after the primaries they’ll turn on an unelectable Rubio just like they did with McCain and Romney. And FOX News shares in the blame for the GOP losses by their supporting “moderate” candidates and suppressing the positive exposure of truly conservative candidates. What good does it do the GOP to betray conservative principles in order to obtain moderate votes at the expense of loosing conservative votes?

If anything, they tried to jinx Marco because they’re frightened of him. Marco gave the classic response, short, sweet and if you read closely between the lines it says keep me off the front of your dying magazine.

As long as the RINOs keep fighting the Tea Party, that by the way gave them them the house and few extra numbers in the Senate, they will be relegated to a minority party.
And the Libertarians are the same .. will never get a majority because they they think that people are going to side with them because they have better ideas. Hah.. No pretty boy on the ticket that can talk double talk and appeal to women/gays/minorities brown or black) there is no hope.

This is not a left or right conversation, this is about the constitution, which protects both sides of the isle and allows them to have the battle of ideas without being enslaved. Right now, too many progressive ideologues are pushing the country at light speed toward ruin, and many won’t realize it till it is too late. They will be running against a younger, fitter, and more plastic version of Hillary Clinton (Hillary 2.0).
The GOP, who never misses an opportunity, to miss an opportunity…will attack Hillary and be labelled by the media as women hating sexists…but at the same time they will be doing what they can to appear new, hip, and cool by attacking Conservatives, Libertarians, Tea Party Members, They will have even less turnout than in this last election.
And Hillary will practically win the presidency by default.
The media will declare that it’s the year of the Woman, and a Woman’s time has come.

Both parties co-opt for political gain but none greater and more masterful than liberals. Let us get to solving the problems facing America instead of demanding that we eventually crumble as the greatest nation on earth. The rich are not the bad guys, GOP is not racist, women are not under attack, the constitution is not “out dated”, and we all really do want the same thing – do we not? “I am strongly against amnesty. The most important thing we need to do is enforce our existing laws. We have existing immigration laws that are not being adequately enforced. Nothing will make it harder to enforce the existing laws, if you reward people who broke them. It demoralizes people who are going through the legal process, its a very clear signal of why go through the legal process, if you can accomplish the same thing if you go through the illegal process. And number two, if demoralizes the people enforcing the laws. I am not, and I will never support any effort to grant blanket legalization/amnesty to folks who have entered, stayed in this country illegally.â€

The White House has said Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s immigration plans, which could legalize the status of some of those unlawfully in the country, “bode well for a productive, bipartisan debate.”
A reason for that optimism: Rubio’s ideas and comments closely mirror those of President Obama in a 2011 policy speech in El Paso Texas.
