Who Is Time’s GOP ‘Savior’ & What Does He Have To Say About It?
Much like Newsweek, Time magazine will from time to time (get it?) publish a thought-provoking or controversial cover.
This week, it chose Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) as its subject:
And perhaps a little embarrassed by the slightly over-the-top rhetoric, Sen. Rubio responded to the cover with this tweet:
There is only one savior, and it is not me. #Jesus
— Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) February 7, 2013
Well how about that?
UPDATE — Time magazine responds:
@marcorubio Point taken, but we just said you’re the ‘Republican savior.’

Sorry but your understanding is wrong. Stay away from Wiki except for laughs.
Sorry you feel that way. I encourage you to read this, as it may change your mind:
http://publiushuldah.wordpress.com/category/natural-born-citizen/
An excerpt:
“The republican concept of “natural born citizenship†is radically different from the feudal notion of “natural born subjectship.†Under feudalism, merely being born in the domains of the King made one – by birth – a “natural born subjectâ€. But in Vattel’s Model and Our Constitutional Republic, Citizens are “natural born†only if they are born of Citizens.”

You will be dead long before 2024. How? Your chosen government will have killed you off since you will no longer be the useful idiot they are now playing you for. You’ll become one of the useless eaters. How great is that?
It WILL be so.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 11:33amRubio realizes for Republicans to win elections, they have to do something with immigration & most Americans are for it. I agree with them it has to start with the border so we don’t have a repeat of what happened in the eighties. My fav for 2016 are Paul Ryan & Marco Rubio. I can no longer add Christie to the list because of his snoozefest with Obama during Sandy which further hurt Romney.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 11:28amTime is not a conservative cheerleader, so lets be clear what this is all about. IMHO this is just the beginning of a leftist combined attack on someone they fear all most a much as Rush and Sarah Palin.
Like the left’s on going news of the civil war in the Republican party, this is just one of the 1st shots in the campaign to destroy Marco. They have been really successful in the recent past. They got rid of any conservative that might have had a chance in the 2012 primaries. They turned Romney into the scourge of the Nation!
They have the complete support of the so called Republican establishment.
I hope that far more have seen this tactic for just what it is, a campaign of smears, innuendos, and outright lies, for the benefit of the low information voter.
Their campaign lost a lot of voters in the 2012 election, they won, but not anywhere near the landslide they were shooting for.
Times, they are a-changing.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 11:27amThis will probably be like putting someone on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Disaster will soon follow. How about letting the GOP (and, for that matter, the Democrats), pick their own candidates rather than have them selected in the media. Hopefully, the selection process will also take into account who citizens feel is best for the country.

Check here for the latest news on the eligibility cases against Obama, coming up on Feb. 15 at the Supreme Court.
Rubio may be a good person, but he is not eligible for the presidency.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 11:46amI am completely satisfied that Obama is ineligible.
He was not born of only United States Citizens.
I don’t think and state should have had him on the ballot until this “question” about eligibility was answered.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 11:19amWe’ll see as Marco advances his cause. Jindal looked good in 208 until he talked with his Mr. Rogers sweater drooping over his shoulder or recently when he gave a lasting sound bite for the next elections about his “stupid party”. These temporary hero’s come and go until they say something improper or something that can be used by Obama and his media as a wedge like”gun control, war on women, rape, free contraceptives et al” The media is being used by Obama as a tool to advance his Marxist agenda and destroy America. Do not help him.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 11:06amI think they should run the Florida ticket. Allen West and Marco Rubio.
With any luck by 2015 the old guard of the Republican Party will be enjoying their retirement. The republican party doesn’t need to become more like the Democrats. They need to become more like the framers. Drop the social engineering (that is what makes them like Democrats/Progressives). They need to focus on Constitutional Law, Fiscal Responsibility and Purging DC of Corruption. If they do that they will wake up the electorate… TEA Party…. Are you listening?????

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 11:35amIn case you were not listening in 2012 the majority of people do not want super small government. Everytime they were offered that they said no thanks.
I want efficient government not small government. Our military budget alone is massive. Do I want to get rid of needless red tape you betcha, but s large portion of our government needs to be there.
Small governments are vulnerable, notice that you do not see Russia, China, France, England getting overthrown because they have a substantial military. The government needs to be smaller than it is but this notion of going home for a 6 months like they do in Texas will not work on a federal level.
So far the only thing the tea party has managed to do is move people who were center right out of office and keep far left idiots like McCaskil in there.
We deserved to lose in 2012 I wanted any one but Obama but Romney really? He was a weakling entering a title fight against a master politician. He was wishy washy at best and looked like a robot up there. Then you add the legitimate rape and probing issues in an election year and guess what the outcome will be.
The left was energized and the right was not Romney did not energize 1 person to vote and the result was that we lost. We let the left pick who we were going to throw up against them and we lost big time. Time to rethink some things.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 11:03amI’ve got to give Mr. Rubio credit for sticking to his guns when he went on Mr. Limbaugh’s show.
He did not kneel down and kiss the “Golden EIB Mike†as many Republicans have done before him.
Off course Mr. Limbaugh is not really interested in the GOP winning elections, in fact most of time his rhetoric actually helps elects Democrats.

Posted on February 7, 2013 at 10:58amThe republicans don’t need a savior they need to leave the extreme right and move to a center right position. Stop focusing on things that they cannot do anyway.
Santorum for example was a great guy who ran on abortion rights. Really you need a 2/3 vote on both sides to repeal a law, there was no way to get there and we lost a good candidate because of it.\
One state that we were a shoe in to win was Missouri where McCaskil voted against what her people wanted every time to back Obama.
We throw a nut job in there that is so far to the right that every woman under 50 out there cringed when they heard about legitimate rape.
We did this over and over.
I love Glenn he is a brilliant man when it comes to finding the bad guys but he is blind politically and causing the party to move so far to the right that only millionaires and religious fanatics can support him.
He should listen to his own words. The country has shifted and the new normal is center left you cannot beat that with far right crap.
I personally am against abortion and want us to be fiscally sound, but the people that are represented are closer to center hence the name center (where most of the people are)
Then we have bobby jindall giving more fodder to the press “we have to stop being the stupid party” shut up. while he is right it is time for the republicans to stop giving sound bites to a media that wants them gone. Take your own advise Bobby SHUT UP
