Which Cable News Host Asked Guests If They Thought There Was ‘Anything Offensive’ in Ben Carson’s Speech?

World-renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson grabbed headlines early this week when he gave a speech in front of President Barack Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast attacking political correctness and many of the domestic policies that have expanded the federal government over the last four years. The 25-minute faith-filled address tackled issues from education to personal responsibility, with video of the event quickly going viral leading to praise from conservative audiences and column in the Wall Street Journal titled ‘Ben Carson for President.’ Among most publications considered to be left-leaning though, the buzz-worthy speech went underreported or ignored. Left-of-center Fox News commentators Bob Beckel and Kirsten Powers called the speech “disgraceful,” and “incredibly rude to the president.”

On CNN’s State of the Union Sunday, host Candy Crowley went so far to ask guests if they found “anything offensive” from Carson’s speech considering the venue where he gave his remarks.

“I think that there is a political correctness that he was trying to use to appeal to a conservative audience,” Illinois Democratic Rep. Jan Schakowsky responded. “I think it’s really–not really an appropriate place to make this kind of political speech, and to invoke God as his support for that kind of view.

“But, I think most of all the kind of message that he was giving shows a real empathy gap of where the American people are right now, and I think it’s reflective of where many of the Republicans and Tea Parties are right now in that–we need to have an economy that works for everyone.”

Earlier in the segment former Republican Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson compared a Carson speech clip where he discussed taxation through a Biblical view, to a prayer breakfast in the 1990s she described as “uncomfortable” when Mother Theresa spoke out extensively against abortion in front of Bill and Hillary Clinton. However, Hutchinson said Carson’s point on political correctness was “a great message.” Watch a clip of the segment compiled by NewsBusters below:

The Dr. was asked to speak, and he did.

Because he spoke against the policies of the President, that makes him disrespectful?

Or, this was not the place to make those comments. Really?

Because he presented facts that the lefties cannot deny, they had to bring out the disrespectful card. I mean, a President can’t be wrong, correct?

One more thing. Rubio said it well a while back in a speech on the floor…I’ll paraphrase but essentially he said we may not be at a place where compromise is the solution but it may be a matter of simply choosing sides. Ya think? I choose freedom from progressives, dem and repub.

Candy Crowley = absolutely impotent journalist. I refuse to watch her.

She should have been hauled, forcefully, off the stage during the middle of the 2nd Presidential debate when she came to Obama’s defense on Libya. (for the record, I would say the same if she had come to Romney’s defense like that – a debate moderator is not there to defend, or correct, one side or another but to be the referee between two opponents)

Beckel and Powers to liberal a**wipes! Beckel s*cks!
It was the proper forum for Dr. Carson to give his opinion of what is going on in the USA right now. Hopefully, the lamestream media runs the story in it’s full honesty, however, I doubt we’ll hear a peep from them. They’re too afraid of Dr. Carson’s candor and his sincere ability to dissect many of the USA’s problems.
The GOP should get a pair and begin to truly explain to the Citizens, how close we are to losing our God given Freedom.

Dr. Benjamin Carson for president of the United States. He is a true American patriot and visionary that America needs. Mr Obama finally had to sit there and listen to common sense and a little history lesson that he has been ignoring as president. Mr Obama isn’t used to being challenged or hearing the truth and you tell by his demeanor and posture he wasn’t expecting to get a slap down. It has been long overdue. Thank you and salute to Dr. Carson.

It’s no longer of whether conservatives are right or wrong about a subject, it about liberal socialist/communist progressive democraps rejecting everything they say, right or wrong. As a liberal socialist/communist progreassive democrap, it is taboo to seen or heard agreeing with a conservative on anything.

Obviously these MENSA members in the media (Beckel, Powers, and Crowley) and the self-avowed Socialist, Jan Schakowsky, and RINO, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, missed the part of Dr. Carson’s outstanding speech where he warned of he danger of suppressing speech/political correctness.

Between the crass and crude Bob Beckel, the sanctimonious Dana Perino, the rabid Progressive Alan Colmes, the smug and arrogant Juan Williams, and the totally self-absorbed egomaniac Geraldo Rivera I pay as much attention of the opinions expressed on FoxNews as I do to those on CNN.

Bob would know about rude and ignorant, he’s got plenty of both. He denies the truth, starts swearing if he doesn’t get his way. He so up Obama’s but he needs turn signals for when Obama has to turn. The truth doesn’t hurt, it’s the realizations that it is the truth. Obama’s record of name calling , insinuations, his assumptions of his opponent. And bob says Carson was wrong. Why ? There was no defense against the truth. So bob cry me a river over hurt feelings, and just grow up, shut up, and go on a diet. Obama care will send a death squad to visit you. Oh by the way bob I don’t like you. Just in case you were wondering.

They call speaking your mind offensive? The leftest attack dogs are out trying to shred a good man. Not surprising. Watch the organized lefty loons continue to attack and shred and distort. They haven’t a clue what really made America great.

Who cares what that repulsive, hateful, bitter, Commie, nasty, drunken, bloated, pant-load Beckel thinks? We need him on Fox News for clown entertainment value. He’s a great poster boy for the idiot Left. Looks like a beached whale in suspenders. He’s such a loser, he makes the others on The Five look great. Eric Bolling is one of the last of a dying breed – a real MAN…. hubba, hubba! Gutfeld is brilliant and hilarious, Perino is incredibly classy. The other girls are smart, but just eye candy for the male audience… they dress like hookers.

How long before someone in America courageous enough to show this type of government dissent will be removed from the stage and never be seen again….I’d say its less than 10 years away.

Schackowsky needs to realize that Dr Carson’s comments were not his attempt to say God agrees with his thought pattern but instead Dr Carson is in agreement with what God tells us in the Bible.

LOL Bob Beckle of The Five expressed the view that Dr. Carson used the ‘wrong forum’!!! Not kidding! Bob had nothing to say about the substance of Dr. Carson’s speech! I guess the left will ramp up its attack teams tomorrow and until Obama takes to the SOTU stage. All who agree with Dr. Carson should be ready to counter those attacks. We must also pay attention if John Hopkins Medical begins to face cuts in grants etc.

Amazing! The prayer breakfast is not an ‘appropriate’ venue to talk about our country coming back to God’s favor and doing things with logic rather than self promotion or agendas, BUT a funeral is a great place for Bubba Clinton to talk about Viagra, or a school is a great place to sign a gun ban bill. HYPOCRICY!!!

CandyCrowley, big surprise there. As she moderates a debate between Obumma and Romney, she quickly comes to obumma’s defense with PAPER WORK on her desk refuting Romneys charge and evan then it was questionable. She knew the question would be asked and she ran to her messiah’s aid. Don’t tell me the MSM is not in the bag for obumma.

Ben Carson spoke the truth; affirmative action is for losers.
The ideology is morally bankrupt and the outcome is destructive to the employer who gets stuck with an employee that is less than 60% as good as the employee (not a minority) that was the qualified hire.
