You Won’t Believe What These People Saw At Their Front Doors After Snowstorm Nemo

As snowstorm Nemo continues its move out to sea, people up and down the East Coast have been left to deal with its aftermath — and some of it is pretty unbelievable:

Get that? Here’s a closer look at the picture in the video:

And this is by no means the only example of a New Englander who got “snowed in” by Nemo. Check out some of these other pictures:

Dont you just love these people that see every thing as global warming. I mean a snow storm really?
When I was in high school back in 1973 I was told in books and news shows and magazines by all the so called experts that the ice age was going to return because of mans pollution and unless mankind changed this drasticaly and oh yes give alot of money to enviromental groups that by the year 2000 we would all be wearing gas mask and freezing to death. Well I did not see any real change and well no ice age or gas mask. Maybe global warming saved us. Its interesting that Al Gore said by now al the coastlines would be under water and the polar bears would be drowned.I love how they always want money to fix everything and even though they get the money nothing ever changes except they get bigger lemos, lear jets and houses but of course they need and deserve those things because they are trying to save the planet. They dont exactly lead by example,

And there is nothing government could do to stop warming, anyway! I saw a history channel program which admitted the sun caused warming in the past to cause the mongols to invade china. What they didn’t say is what humans did to make the sun warm the earth.
If humans could make the globe warm, then growing seasons could feed this growing population. Wait……libs wouldn’t like that! They want to starve off the “excess” human population.

Said the guy with a Ph.D. in climatology. Wait, probably not.

Furthermore, that whole “ice age” thing in the 70′s was a single article that Time magazine sensationalized. At no time did experts agree that there would be a new ice age.

Back in the 70′s a storm like this was at least an annual occurrence, it was no national disaster we just dug out. back then the scare tactic of the liberals was the ozone hole and the new ice age. Just proves to me the sun is the major driver of our world temps and it appears to be cyclic. Todays folks are woosies, dig out and get back to work.

Do not further the propaganda by giving a snow storm a name…if you don’t have the perspicacity to know why you need to start thinking. There is NO protocol to name a simple storm…there are no indices to measure, just that a storm is ‘big.’ You are falling for a radical trap by using the names.

Yes global warming can cause winter storms and even start an Ice Age. Global warming/climate change is happening, humans are probably one of the contributing factors, taxation and “carbon credits” are not the way to reverse it.

The bottom line is: The less crap we put into the environment, the better off we are. Nuclear energy, tidal power, and geothermal should all be investigated by private industry, the government can help by getting out of the damn way.

Tell folks to be sure and tunnel out before some of the snow starts to melt under the door…. worst if the snow starts to melt and refreezes. It can seal the door shut. It happens to friends in Masawa japan regularly. Front AND back doors, sometimes people forget one until the floor is … very wet.

“No Dough for Snow” is the idea behind FEMA’s Policy on support for snowstorms. This would have to EXCEED their previous record snowfall for either a 24 or 48 hour period in order to qualify for any assistance. Based on previous comments, I’m not sure it would qualify.

Even then, the declaration is considered an Emergency Declaration and not a Disaster. Assistance is limited to only certain categories – emergency measures for public safety primarily such as clearing roadways for emergency traffic and restoring govt services – and is also limited to a very short timeframe (48-72 hours, if I remember correctly).

A little trial here can help people get their priorities straight. The hard work in getting out from under that snow leaves less time to ponder the finer points of our society such as gun control and dear leaders health care debacle. But seriously! Hard times brought on by this snow storm will have a positive affect I believe. People who never talked to their neighbors are now talking. People preparing for this event and now for the next one is beneficial to everyone. When tough times come, maybe people can share once again with their neighbors. Invite guests over for relief etc.

Several of these events back to back in a short span of time will test the fortitude of those among us who have forgotten what hardship and stress is all about. Hopefully it will bring out the best in us and not the worst. Lets see, we’ve had Irene, Sandy, multiple tornados disasters and now this snow storm not to mention the social and criminal upheavels at the same time.

Go back to your preparations list and check it twice. What if you find ten feet of snow at your front door? What then?

Hey everyone out there. Do you want to know the first sign that your really old? Look at some of the posts. You can spot them right a way (myself included). They all start out with, “Back when I was a”.
How is it that sitting in class during elementary school, that every minute seemed an eternity and then suddenly you find yourself old, on a Sunday morning talking to people all over the world through a device that in your youth you would have never thought possible? You know back when I was kid it snowed a lot. A lot more than it does now. At least where I live. Back then we didn’t sit in our house typing away on a computer. Of course not. We didn’t have computers back then but you know what I mean. But that’s not important right now. When it snowed we all grabbed our sleds and headed for the biggest hills in the neighborhood. Even the adults would join in. We would stay out to all hours of the night. And when we got home mom always had us hot soup to warm us up. I would like to say those days were perfect but I know better. Back then I never thought about the families in our neighborhoods that had their kids over in Vietnam getting their asses shot off. But hey I was a kid. I still miss that time.

      So true!

People were doing these same things when the finest generation of all was fighting in WW2. The difference is not the same as today! The country is fallen sharply off normalcy and into an abyss where only these things you mention are far off memories….it was better then than it is now because you can’t let your kids go sleding alone for fear some nut will pick them up.

Those old steel rail sleds are not acceptable either because some marm would send your kid home if they showed up with one. Besides, kids are more comfortable inside where its warm and they can type on their little keyboards all day to their friends on FB…they can sled via wii its called snow boarding.

No need to get a cold outside or meet new people. Yes it has changed and not for the better. We took what we knew and experienced for granted back then. We could never envision a country like the one we have today and thats apart from the high tech lives we now live.

I send this little thought via a hotel room while on a business trip from the middle of a desert region of the country which you will be able to read in mere seconds.

Are we naming middle latitude winter storms now? No – I know it wasn’t the National Weather Service – it was the Media, but really, guys? It was a big snowstorm. Can we just call it that? What will we name next? Heat waves? Droughts?

cool pictures, but nothing new to many of us… we had 80″ of snow in less than 2 days in Colorado in about 2005… above the sons’ heads on the storm door on a second floor deck.

have to watch the media reports now hyping ‘Climate Change’ since we can’t very well say ‘Global Warming’ when it’s an almot 40 year blizzard….no 100 year storm here.

Hope everyone else is careful shoveling their walks… easy way for those not in shape to incur heart attacks.
