Beck Reveals Details Of His Upcoming July 6th Event in Salt Lake City
While Americans across the country typically ring in the July 4th holiday with fireworks, on a deeper level, the day is also a time to pause and reflect on the nation’s founding. For the past several summers running, Glenn Beck has launched unique events tailored around a specific theme meant to celebrate American exceptionalism. This season will be no exception as he unveils a tribute to Independence Day dubbed “Man In The Moon,” which will take place on July 6 at the USANA Amphitheater in Salt Lake City, Utah.
On his Monday morning radio broadcast, Beck clued listeners in on additional details about the event which, according to his official website, is slated to be a “visual spectacular” that will touch “all of the senses.”
Beck said that he believes the spirit and purpose of July 4th has been lost on modern-day trapping such as fireworks and musical renditions. It has “turned into hot dogs, water-skiing, Bruce Springsteen, James Brown…and fireworks,” he said.
“It’s beer, it’s outdoors, sunshine, have some fun and fireworks. That’s it. We are not passing anything on to our children except hot dogs and fireworks — that is not good enough.”
Independence Day, along with Christmas, are two holidays Beck said he hopes to reclaim. This summer, he plans to offer those attending his Man In The Moon event an educational experience including seminars hosted by American historians like David Barton, showcases in schooling innovations, a women’s conference, and, like at Restoring Love in 2012, charity and service-projects.
“You won’t just be watching the show — you’ll be inside the show.”
That stadium can accomodate roughly 20,000 people and tickets will be offered at GlennBeck.com beginning February 19th.
It is “an experience that will lift up your family, bring you closer together, and forever change the way you think about the birth of mans’ liberty,” Beck said in a previous statement.
“Know the history of our country and…serve.”
In terms of the special effects and entertainment component of the program, Beck said he has hired “some amazing people at the American Dream Labs” — his new studio designed to create state-of-the-art productions — and that he is employing the latest technologies to create a visually inspiring event.
“I talked to imagineers, the best in Hollywood and in stage [productions].. I spoke with people at Cirque du Soliel” to create this event, Beck explained.
It will be something unlike you or your family have ever experienced in the past.”
Beck informed listeners that there will not be fireworks, but some pyrotechnics will be at play during the production, which he said is the “toughest thing we have ever done as a company.”
“We want to change the 4th of July celebration.”
Salt Lake City may be a far distance for most to travel, and Beck ceded that he himself would not trek across the country simply “to see a great fireworks display,” but that he would, however, “buy a ticket to a show that would help my family see American history from a completely different perspective.”
“He promised that his multi-layered event will prompt discussions among family members, encourage people to learn about American history and offer attendees a chance to connect with old friends and make new acquaintances.”
Beck added that the program will “give hope that America’s best days are ahead, and not behind it.”
In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Posted on February 11, 2013 at 5:19pmI love Glen Beck and everything he has tried to do. So I guess he fights on. I was a subscriber of GBTV from day one until recently. I just see this country falling apart piece by piece. The bible says there will be a one world government, ruled by an evil tyrant. I have already joined enough organizations, signed enough petitions, written enough comments on my views, and sent enough money to organizations like randpac, campaign4liberty, Mitt Romney. Enough to get my name on any/every roundup list in the future when all hell brakes loose. Now I am focused on being totally self reliant on my small farm, to feed, protect my family. I say when that time comes, I will not go quietly into the night. However if I am taken alive, just take me straight to the showers, because I will not bow to any false God, and re-education is not an option.

Posted on February 11, 2013 at 8:07pmIf all Christians in this country put 100% into obedience to God, there would not be a need for all this political activism because God would bless His faithful with the govt they deserved. Love and honor God in word and deed, study the Bible, tithe and give more than 10%, speak salvation to the unsaved, and love your fellow man with the love of Christ.
There are more disobedient people in this country–Christian and non-Christian, so we get the govt we deserve. Obama and the progressives are what a disobedient people deserve.

Glenn Beck has been doing amazing shows lately on Guns, Chris Kyle, Sandy Hook, Judge Napolitano and The libertarian movement, the progressive movement, executive orders and the trans-humanism movement and its ties to eugenics. So Glenn Is doing a wonderful job of informing people on issues. it is up to this site to figure out what to publish and it tends to love the sensational stuff. And they sure like sensational headlines too. So they mention all the other stuff Beck is up to.

Enjoy the event then head on up to Park City and take in the beautiful mountain air and sights. By the way any Catholic who wants to hold an event in Boston is not allowed. Same logic and now you realize how bad you all make us look to the left. Open your minds and eyes people! We are Americans! Nothing wrong with restoring some good old American values but why doesn’t Glenn take on a seriousely important issue like gun rights. Instead of holding a Moonbeam rally how about if he organized a major peaceful rally against the new gun legislation? Oh! maybe that doesn’t fit into the mold of the “love, courage honor” thingy. Maybe next time eh folks?

Posted on February 11, 2013 at 2:18pmWow… considering Beck’s largest concentrated audience (and certainly his largest college age fan groups) is in the Salt Lake City area, this makes a lot of sense. It’s just too bad that so many feel a need to rant and rave and howl about how people who believe differently than they are so “evil” and are going to hell. Didn’t Christ say to love one another, and allow the Lord to be the perfect judge? If, after all the looketh upon the heart, I wouldn’t be surprised if he would find most of those commenting on this thread to have some of the darkest that He has seen.

Posted on February 11, 2013 at 2:13pmWhat’s with all the whining about the Mormon Mecca? There is no Mormon Mecca. Utah is not just for Mormons. If you think it is… you have either never been there or you have a very closed and judgemental mind.
The location DOESN’T MATTER. It’s the CONTENT that matters. Quit fretting about the location! They’re not going to grab you and teach you religion! Utah is just like any other State in the Union.
Every event doesn’t have to take place in NYC or Los Angeles. We hosted the Olympics in Salt Lake City and didn’t offend anybody in the world… I think we can handle a Glenn Beck event without the Mormon issue comming up non-stop.
I’m starting to think My Democrat friends who said the issue of Romney’s religion would only be a problem to Republicans… were right. It almost never came up in the when he was debating a Democrat. But Republicans brought it up constantly in the Primary election.
I have more respect for Democrats when it comes to Religious-Tolerance than I do Republicans any day. Republicans are obviously the religious biggots out there (not Democrats). Mormons definatly get a fairer shake from Democrats than they do Republicans (IMO)

While Glenn has referenced Bible verses & passages, Glenn is not “preaching scripture.” While Glenn has shared his view of what is right and wrong about the past, present, & future… he is not TELLING any of us how to live, or what to do… he is telling us what HE is doing, inviting us to consider JOINING him, & ENCOURAGING us to consider what is really most important!! Nothing in this post suggests anyone shouldn’t enjoy fireworks, beer, hot dogs, Springsteen or anything else we want to on July 4th, or any other day… As a matter of fact, he’s holding the event AFTER July 4th… I can do both. But Glenn has studied many of the heroes of our country’s history, & is encouraging us to all learn more about what made this country great, pass it on to our children, & celebrate it… I find him inspiring, & question you, who claim to believe in “global warming,” & don’t call Al Gore out on his hypocrisy selling CurrentTV to oil-rich Al Jazeera, yet claim Glenn is somehow “bilking” fans by making a living by entertaining & enlightening we who choose to subscribe or participate. He is building a company, & employs hundreds now… I aspire to be 1/2 as successful AND inspiring!! Maybe you

Can you give SPECIFIC examples of what Beck says is right and wrong with our past, present and future?
Sorry but “freedom, liberty and love” are but extremely broad terms. How are those values realized and applied ‘real life’ in Beck’s world?
For example, in Beck’s new desired city, does he seek to exclude gays (from living there / participation / etc.)
Does Beck seek to limit the freedom, liberty and ability to love of some people because he does not agree with all they might?

And Utah didn’t “give us mittens.” Romney isn’t a product of Utah – he’s a product Michigan first and of Massachusetts second. Utah is also one of the very last states in the Republican Primaries. Aside from his faith, his only other real ties to Utah would be that he rescued the Olympics. I also get a kick out of everyone who hates Romney so much – do they really think that guys like Ron Paul or Rick Santorum would have pulled off a better campaign or turnout? Out of all the candidates, that was the best of the lot. If anyone is to blame for giving us mittens, it is the south.

Senate panel postpones vote on Hagel nomination amid Republican calls for more information
Published February 06, 2013
In a letter to Hagel, Republicans complained that he failed to answer several questions, including details on all compensation of more than $5,000 that he had received over the past five years. They also had pressed him on his recent speeches, the groups he has addressed and their donors.
“The committee, and the American people, have a right to know if a nominee for secretary of defense has received compensation, directly or indirectly, from foreign sources,” Senate Republicans wrote. “Until the committee receives full and complete answers, it cannot in good faith determine whether you should be confirmed as secretary of defense.”

Rumors abound on Capitol Hill that a full disclosure of Hagel’s professional ties would reveal financial relationships with a number of “unsavory” groups, including one purportedly called “Friends of Hamas.” The GOP aide said it was “noteworthy” that the White House has yet to deny the association. “Maybe it’s not true, but why not provide a list of groups he spoke to and remove all doubt?” the aide said.

Agreed! The parents are not doing their jobs. Because their parents didn’t do their jobs either.
If Americans on whole cling to such originally pagan practices as “Winter Solstice” (Christmas) and “Halloween” (All Hallows / All Saints Day) as Christian Holidays, then there is little hope for the less weightier things of America’s U.S. Constitution and it’s Liberty.
Still, we summon up the strength to jump those hurdles if the stakes become more dire. They will. But the longer we wait, the more effort it will take for us to do it.

That’s why he has a Mercury One Charity, that’s why he owns another company that hires only single mothers, that’s why he has a company that donates all the profits to charity, that’s why he has these events. To draw like minded people together who want to make a difference, who want to teach their children how to make a difference, to get involved in service work rather than sit in front of a video game or TV all day and then take that back to their own communities and strive to achieve better things for their communites and neighborhoods. The service plan, as presented, was to do things so the government didn’t or beyond what the government did. If the actions only allowed the government funds to be spent wastefully or spent on something else (not “not spent”) then Glenn might be looking for a better example of the end result they are looking for from the many thousands of hours of community service.
And the city has to be large enough to host the numbers they hope for as well as have a large enough number of unskilled labor tasks that can benefit from the expected numbers of volunteers.
Hint, any large city could have this effect if they could mobilize those receiving government benefits to benefit the city and actually work hard while doing so.

Of course not, but he does have the right to make a claim, no? Doesn’t mean he’ll win, or that he deserves to win. But there are terribly few details in that article, so there’s not enough information to understand the full basis of his claim.
“You guys will fall on your sword for this guy, I’ll give you that…”
Because I asked you a question? Again, it seems RP opponents are far more obsessed with him than supporters.

Am I surprised?
He’s gone to DC, Israel and Texas. Wasn’t there a weekend thing in Ohio too?
Can he not go to Utah?
Try decaf!

Posted on February 12, 2013 at 2:53amLloyd Drako – No, It’s Ironic that you don’t understand that the people who built Salt Lake City FLED the US on pain of death. And here, they are still persecuted today by evil people like you. Sit on that little bit of truth for a bit and spin. K?

Never does Scripture instruct us to be in any way charitable toward the preaching of false gospel. It’s perverse to try to use those verses in such a manner. The Bible is very descriptive of the fate of those who preach another gospel, and it isn’t pretty. Would you scold God for not being more charitable?

Posted on February 11, 2013 at 1:02pmMaybe American values like surrendering your guns to the government when they come for them in the spirit of 1776 will ring true to the Beck zombies in attendance.
Perhaps in the spirit of the Boston Tea Party, Beck will tell supporters DO NOT protest! DO NOT protest your second amendment right!
Do not assemble for your God given rights, just pay for my venues that celebrate dictators like Abraham Lincoln and stands filled with my books and t-shirts for sell!
LOL. Beck is a modern snake oil salesman.

Posted on February 11, 2013 at 1:56pmit started long before a couple weeks ago….Remember, when the republican establishment pushed romney through the primary – Beck was telling everyone to settle down and let it play out. That should have been the time to revolt – before you were stuck with Romney….I wont even mention Beck’s silence regarding the GOP convention tyranny

Posted on February 11, 2013 at 3:15pmBeck did lose some credibility with me when he went so hard against Newt for being a liberal but then sticking up for the Massachusetts Moderate Mitt. The one thing that I thought was that it was because they shared the same religion. I can’t fault it, he really believes it and that’s his faith, he wants to see it brought more into the mainstream, and what better way than to bring it to the white house. I just know now that he will do certain things to promote his faith. His events are great and David Barton really knows his stuff. It should be great.

Posted on February 12, 2013 at 2:57amHmmmm I remember when the American people pushed Romney through the Primaries… Yes, he had the republican establishments support as well, but it was your friends and neighbors that voted for him. He did not steal the primaries. But I do believe that the General was stolen from him. No way in hell did McCain get millions more votes than Romney did.

Posted on February 12, 2013 at 3:46amYou really should do a little research before you make stupid comments, although that is the best part about the internet isn’t it? You can lie and no one sees your face or knows your name. You obviously have no idea what Glenn Beck has been talking about as far as the second amendment goes and you obviously have no idea what his views are about the GOP today. Not hard to get that information if you just make the effort. But that’s not your goal, is it?
Go troll somewhere else. And the rest of you classless people who have nothing better to do but visit sites and spew your bigoted rhetoric, please spew somewhere else. Beck pockets no money from these events. He made 8 mil from radio, TV, books, speaking engagements, etc. His last event in Texas Stadium cost $10 to hold a seat included parking…I am quite sure Dallas stadium cost just a little bit more than that. I didn’t pay a penny to Beck for the Washington Mall gathering nor did anyone pay a penny to him for the Israel trip. He went to OHIO and raised money for them. His Mercury One Charity directs raised funds away from from the moronic government into the hands of private organizations that know exactly where to apply the dollars. He owns a company whose profits go to charity, another company that employees only single mothers.
I feel sorry for all of you who have nothing better to do than spew your hate and unfounded ridiculous lies. I will pray for you to my “magic GOD”. I have faith he will help even you.

Posted on February 11, 2013 at 12:45pmFor Rev Bill and Imperative, because you are such biblical schoolers. How about you chew on Pauls words to the Corrinthians in first Corrinthians chapter 13 on charity. He outlines the chartactor taits of those who have charity. Why not show us that you have these Christ like taits that Paul tells us are the only things that really stand up at the last day. You know being the great scriptorians you are. See below:
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity denvieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself aunseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily cprovoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in ainiquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
