Canadian News Anchor Issues Ominous Warning to America: Gun Registration Will Lead to ‘Confiscation’

Canadian News Anchor Issues Ominous Warning to America: Registration Will Lead to Confiscation

(Sun News Network)

Living in Canada, Sun News Network anchor Brian Lilley has already seen where seemingly innocent gun control measures can lead. During a news broadcast this week, Lilley warned Americans that gun registration led to gun confiscation in Canada, and the same thing will happen in the U.S. if citizens don’t defend their Second Amendment rights.

Lilley also told the story of Ian Thompson, who was charged for defending himself with a firearm against four men firebombing his home in Canada.

“We are at a state in Canada where they don’t want you using firearms for anything. Ever,” Lilley said. “That’s the push. And as we look at what’s happening in the United States, that’s what’s happening.”

He went on: “So I’ve got a warning to my American friends: Registration will lead to confiscation. And if you don’t believe me, just look at what’s happened here.”

Watch the entire segment below:

Lilley pointed out that the Obama administration is currently pushing to implement a national registry of gun owners in the United States, something the anchor said would ultimately lead to the confiscation of firearms.

“If such a database comes to fruition, it will lead to confiscation,” he said.

Lilley explained that such warnings were ignored in Canada, at the expense of gun owners.

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

This is the drum I have been beating for months. The Canadian registration programme accomplished nothing. It did not reduce gun crime even 1%. It did consume billions of dollars of tax payers money in administration costs. And it made criminals of the tens of thousands of honest Canadians who refused to register their guns. Americans take note!

If you are dumb enough to register your firearms with this current government than you deserve to get them confiscated from you in the future. Progressives believe in small progressions leading to their ultimate goals. People naturally rebel against big change, but it you change things in tiny bits over long periods of time you can steal people’s freedom and they won’t even notice.

Rabidpatriot, the problem is that the government will not need to rely on us to register willingly. They’re counting on little ***** progressive Nazi’s like LarryL2 to tattle on their neighbors to the government. The feds will offer $100 or so for every gun owner turned in by progressive “patriots”, and next thing you know the ATF or FBI will be battering down our doors or seizing our property while we’re busy earning our way at work.

Nazism is dead it’s just change the name to progressive. How Ironic considering the idea of Hitler final solution was brought to him from progressive like Margret sanger and George benard shaw.
They learned from hitler bold moves and now once they ‘re allowed to create policies on something they slowly apply more and more regulation til they destroy it.

You’re going to learn an important lesson one day Fire, fear is an entirely healthy thing at this point.

Those who aren’t afraid have either resigned themselves to what is coming, or more likely, don’t understand the situation.

But hey, when someone claims power who doesn’t share you political viewpoint, reveals to have paid lipservice to the doctrine, or my favorite when the ideals reach their natural conclusion, you’ll remember what fear is.

The assault weapons ban is a ploy. This is to make you think that the lessor step of “background checks” is not such a big deal. They are all about small steps toward a bigger goal. Do not think that they are not keeping record of every time a background check is run on you. And the Store that sold you the weapon has to keep those records for a minimum of ten years. Like it or not any gun you have bought in the last 10 years is registered. The next “real” step is to make you go to a dealer and run the check every time you give a gun to one of your kids. After that will come voluntary registry of all guns and ammo in your possession, probably a renewal permit every year with a small fee. Doesn’t anyone see how baby steps will lead to the ability to confiscate under some DHS mandate?

BARYMETHELIZABETH, Dang, you noticed that all by yourself did you? Did you happen to catch on to what else happened around that time? After the Clinton Administration and Dem-wit Congress focused on first a tax hike. You know, the one that the Bush Tax Cut helped us to escape? Then came Brady I & II. What happened next? The Dems for the first time in some forty plus years took an election bloodbath and lost both houses of Congress. Their gun control juggernaut came to a screeching halt. What we are discussing here will never occur suddenly and over night. History has taught us that its always been an incremental process.
And, it tends to really get started with national registration.

Mary Beth Registration leads to confiscation nearly ALWAYS.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control From 1929 to 1953,
approximately 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded
      up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million
Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1928, Germany established gun control. From 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews,
gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who were unable to defend
themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1935, China established gun control. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political
dissidents were unable to defend themselves and were rounded up and
      exterminated.

In 1964, Guatemala established gun control. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan
Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1970, Uganda established gun control. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

      Continued:
In 1956, Cambodia established gun control. From 1975 to 1977, one million
“educated” people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
      exterminated.

That places total victims who lost their lives because of gun control at
approximately 56 million in the last century. Since we should learn from the
mistakes of history, the next time someone talks in favor of gun control, find out
which group of citizens they wish to have exterminated.

Today’s gun control laws are almost verbatim to Germany’s gun control laws:
same excuses and “noble reasons” being used to pull the wool over our eyes.

Don’t be blinded, don’t be fooled, and don’t get exterminated!!!

Dictators and criminals love gun control, they’re the only ones who aren’t
      controlled by it.

A more accurate headline would read: “registration will lead to ATTEMPTED confiscation”. I don’t think the confiscation thing would go well at this point in time. Civil war would be a good possibility. Maybe in 20 or 30 yrs they could do it, but not now. My bigger concern is the next generation. Seems like each generation is more willing to give up rights. Our kids are being indoctrinated in school and half the country is relying on the government for something. I hope I’m wrong but unless this country turns around soon, it will be too late.

The first time that I applied for a CCL in this state back in the ’80s they wanted to know how many handguns I would carry, what they were and complete with serial numbers. I only listed one since that was the one that I carried most then. A series 80 Colt Combat Elite M1911A1. Since this state has cleaned out practically every Dem-wit in the state government, that was dropped a good number of years ago. They no longer ask anything regarding the handguns, simply do the background check and we usually receive the new permit in the mail within three to four days.

Yes Mr.Lilley for the people that voted against the Kenyan we realize that gun registration is the first step to confiscation. It’s the Obamazombies that don’t realize or care about any rights because they’re uneducated simpletons and if they need a gun they simply steal it. ‘Gun laws’ are designed to keep guns out of the hands of the already law abiding citizen and the progs will keep making unconstitutional ‘gun laws’ until they reach their nirvana,a total gun ban.

Free men what will you do when the Marxist heathen gives the illegal order to seize your firearms?
Ole Chuck Heston said it best ‘FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS’.

As more holes get blown out of Nancy Pelosi’s crowd of ” Liar’s Club”. what are we actually seeing in the proposed Obama Gun Law Restrictions. Well, TA DA! You guessed it. The entitlement driven liberal Democrats have protection for “their” people of course. But common people who aren’t are required in the Democratic Party LoveFest Group, well you people can’t own a weapon or if you do it will be required to be registered. And of course you and your family can’t protect yourselves, but Obama’s Peoples can have protection, and own “restricted” weapons because they are special provisions within the proposed wording of the law that gives authority to the government to give rights to possess and use. But not for common people of course.
So, Obama’s Hollywood celebrity set, special professional athletes, leading Democratic Party members, and contributors to the Democratic Party who just so happen to provide six digit contribution checks to future Presidents and Democrats. Lovely huh?

.We should pay attention to this man and others who are warning us about future gun confiscation and the path that leads to if from those who have already lived it.

We are now on that same path and the left will not be swayed.

quoting Brian Lilley has taken theblaze to a whole new low. Lilley is an alarmist working for a network that is failing worse than OWN and has taken to begging its few viewers to help them get government funding to survive. at present they have an audience of less than 90,000 viewers a week.

I take exception to your bias, and ignorance. If the progressive appointees from previous Liberal Government hadn’t stuffed it to the Sun Media Corp network. Sun News would be available free like all other Canadian News Networks in Canada. But the CRTC, which was top loaded with leftist pulled the plug on Sun News to keep it out of sight from the general public. Sun News isn’t likewise a government owned TV network but is privately owned. Not like the CBC which is a laughing joke of hard line socialism.
Brian Lilley, Ezra, the Menzoid, and all others offer a refreshing news view completely open and much more balanced than the liberal MSM in Canada. Sun News brings in more opposing viewpoints to discuss current events and reasonably presents a balanced discussion. Not like liberal media who might stack the deck of five or more commentators versus one conservative who might get 15 seconds of sound bite time as compared to a half our of self congratulating moron liberals.

Try and be factual Saranda, SunNews is not demanding gov’t funding. It is asking that the CRTC, which controls broadcast and cable companies, to change it’s current licence to one that will allow it the same cable access that the government-funded CBC and the other private news broadcasters have. Currently they are restricted to being offered on premium packages. Which limits their potential audience to only 40% of Canadian households, whereas the other broadcasters are in the mandatory carriage bracket and available to 100% of households. SunNews would gladly fight for audience share in an open free market, but under Canadian Regs, that is not an option. So they are asking that at least let them compete on an even field.

Sun news got the licensing they requested because they thought they could attract an audience anywhere. they went to air with an inferior product, production value and content and lost their potential audience. now they claim conspiracy and use a high percentage of their broadcast time to beg viewers to write to government for changes they did not believe they needed. Sun news is owned bh a very large and profitable company, Quebecor, that seems to have abandoned them.

you blame the license they asked for and got. I blame the high school production and the man with the ruby lips, ezra. they have also completely embarrassed themselves in their last two election night coverage. especially in Alberta where between Levant and the 12 year old pollster they were not only wrong, but called voters stupid for electing a Conservative government that they did not think was far enough right. they whine, complain and when they find a real story they beat it to death and go too far beyond what a normal person can bear. i watch ezra everynight but only because be is bad as a “talking head” that he is funny. my daughters call him a muppet.
