Intense DIY Gatling Gun Runs on a Power Screwdriver Motor — Watch It in Action

It seems like we say this every time The Slingshot Channel‘s Joerg Sprave comes out with a new DIY weapon, but this one certainly has to be the most intense (at least to date).

The Slingshot Channels Joerg Sprave Shows Off Gatling Gun That Shoots Crossbow Bolts

Sprave has pulled together a fully automatic “slingshot minigun” that, unlike his previous designs requiring a handcrank, is run by a Black & Decker power screwdriver instead.

“As you know, I love weaponizing Black & Decker tools,” Sprave said.

The design is based on a gatling gun concept, Sprave wrote in the video description, and shoots commercial pistol crossbow bolts from its eight rotating barrels.

Hi RJJ,

Was a 12 hour shift. Had a lady at 3am that was either tried, drunk, stoned or all 3. She could not work the touch pad or type anything and passed out once. Had to yell in the phone to wake her back up. My shift might change to 12 to 8am 6 night a week. Too busy for even a lunch break.

Fun to watch somebody do something like this, but I am not giving up my civil rights to own firearms legally purchased in the past, and have those purchases infringed in the future with obstacles. There is no legitimate reason why I should have to pay 3x the value of an AR-15 right now, I should be able to wait a couple years and buy that weapon under the same rules that exist today.

Designing your own firearms (this is not a firearm) is probably one of the most dangerous hobbies you can have, so think before you go public with stuff like this, no insurance company in the world is going to insure this guy now that he plastered his face in the news?

You see what happens when you threaten law abiding citizens, they cost insurance companies additional costs? How many people are going to be on disability in the next couple years because of missing fingers, solely the result of Democrats wanting to change gun laws, and these people in their garages with no training, and will not seek help, will hurt themselves?

Keep your table saw hand guards on please?

  This guy’s from Europe where they have the strictest gun laws ever. They take their other options very seriously, and pride themselves on air rifles / pistols that are rated at 1325 fps and higher. My brother shoots the pistols for the U.S. team and has more money in these than I have in Stratocasters. I’ve shot these guns and believe you me if Oby takes away firearms, these are the next step to protection. These are NOT your Daisy or Crossman pumps (that are no where near the power of what we had in the 70′s). His rifle (dubbed tree trunk) is a .22 pellet, and the pellets he gets along with the power makes this thing more than a 10/22. He also has a .177 barrel he can change to, but if he doesn’t dial the gun’s power down it causes the pellet to ‘tumble’. I’m still trying to have faith that our elected’s will have the sense to not ban guns. But in case, I suggest everyone look in to these air rifles made in Germany and Sweden. NOT cheap (his Olympic pistol was approx. $1800.00). But VERY fun and effective. “Air Force” – a U.S. company – sells just as lethal air guns, and a very cool design (www.airforceairguns.com).

You can see in the slow motion video that the bolts launch a little off target because of the constant rotation while the bolt travels through the launch track. Bullets would be better.

  With eight of those crossbow pistol bolts in him (especially if you used a stronger elastic), I believe an intruder just might undergo a serious attitude adjustment. How about fashioning bolts that have a hunting broadhead? On another note — why stop at eight “barrels” if you can make one with a dozen or more?

  He already created two different weapons that shoot nails, one of which handles 9″ nails, and another that handles 3″ nails. The 3″ weapon has capacity for five shots. If you can’t take the perp out in five, then you need more range time. Here’s the link.
