‘The F**k I am…I’m Not F**king Kidding’: CBS White House Correspondent Goes on Odd, Profane Twitter Rant

“The f**k I am. That is shirty business what you did. Fix it. I’m not f**king kidding,” CBS News’ Major Garrett wrote in a seemingly out-of-nowhere tweet this morning.

Now we’re sure you’re wondering: What’s going on here? Sadly, no one seems to know:

Garret, of course, deleted the offending tweet, but, you know, this is the Internet and all that:

The former Fox News correspondent later tweeted an “explanation” of sorts:

And this is what National Journal White House Correspondent Jim O’Sullivan was tweeting before Garrett tried his hand at impersonating Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s sunny disposition:

Again, we’re not entirely sure what happened this morning. All we know is that whatever it was, it got Garrett plenty mad.

Oh, also, on the same day that Pope Benedict XVI abdicated the chair of St. Peter, a first in nearly 600 years, “#shirty” was trending nationwide on Twitter. Welcome to the Internet.

    Everything I see about twitter in the news is stupid. People should pull their noses out of the ****-crack of their smart phones and get a life…perhaps have an actual voice to voice conversation with complete sentences…with a human….

    This is the reason I dropped from Facebook…social networking brings the stupid out of so many people and “the system” loves when you put your arse out there for so many to see. The data miners love their collections…

    That being said…what the H.E. double hockey sticks am I doing here…

    Since I have no idea what this conversation is about other than the phrase “makeup contraband”, I thought I would see if Robin Williams might shed some light on this?

    I keep searching this web site for an article about Jim Greer. The Chair of the Republican Party in Florida that plead guilty to theft and money laundering to avoid a trial that would drag the entire Republican Party of Florida through the mud, exposing the corruption that we all knew was alive and well in Florida. Thankfully, despite the best efforts, they could not steal another election. Anyone know why this site won’t cover that story, or have I just missed it?

    Who in the name of Sam Hill still uses Cover Girl??? I guess Major Garrett has infinite reason to resort to the “F” bomb when he’s accused of leaving his foundation in the WH bathroom, and the foundation is something that only 13 year old girls use! What a hoot!!

      Damascous could be the location of an event that was the subject of a cover up, that did not cover up, hence the term “hitting the fan”? As in Damascous?

      Oh yes. Add “respectful dialogue” to the “civility” demand that we all just smile, and smile and smile, and smile while the ship goes down in flames. But, do smile won’t you? And be civil won’t you? Do be respectful of people who believe in taxpayer theft, killing babies and sex with men’s bottoms?
