Beck’s Heartfelt Reflection Video on Chris Kyle’s Memorial Service: ‘Symbols of Redemption Were Everywhere’
On Tuesday, Glenn Beck delivered a heartfelt reflection following slain Navy SEAL Chris Kyle’s memorial service. After sharing how he learned about the hero’s tragic death, the popular television and radio host commemorated Kyle’s life and legacy.
Beck noted the many heroes he saw at the memorial service — individuals who have given greatly of themselves to protect their country.
“I found myself thanking God for a country built on redemption,” he said.
Beck also highlighted symbols of this redemption that were plentiful inside of Cowboys Stadium, the location where the memorial was held, with the flag, family and a cross serving as some of the prime examples. He concluded the reflective tribute by thanking Kyle.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 5:22pmLet us not forget that this was a simple tribute for a TRUE PATRIOT to our nation. It is funny that the posts on here criticize Glenn for posting this trying to exploit this issue when nobody calls out the President exploiting every gun issue possible while trying to push his agenda. I don’t see OBAMAs A$$ helping soldiers who return from battle with PTSD or even paying a tribute to a man who fights for our freedom. Obama wasn’t complaining about Seal Team 6 taking out Bin Laden so he could take credit in front of the nation but he cant even pay tribute to this American Hero. Whitney Houston had more coverage from the President than this man. Pathetic piece of work who calls himself a man…. let alone a President. Keep up the good work Glenn!

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 12:30pmSo let me get this straight… You are saying that if we wouldn’t have illegally and immorally went to war with Iraq, and if Kyle hadn’t gone and killed 255 people, that I would have lost my right to debate anywhere I please?
Question: If two armed robbers break into your house, see you with a gun, and one shoots you dead… Is the robber who shot you justified because he was “protecting” his buddy? Was he practicing self defense, or is he a murderer? You were trying to take away his right to debate and vote and whatnot… So he is a hero right?

This whole debate is about nation-building which began after WW II. Chris Kyle was part of the nation-building process, like it or not. The question is: How many countries have we destroyed in order to save them?
Will the real Glenn Beck of old please step forward?

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 10:34am160 confirmed kills. Wow. That is the definition of an American hero; a killer. By that regard Chris Dorner should be held up as an American icon for all to behold. Chris Kyle and Dorner are dirt, and they are both indicative of what has gone wrong with men in this country, men who have the mentality of a savage mongrel. Both of them were brainwashed sociopaths. I cannot fathom how Glenn Beck, who holds reverence to God and non-violence could ever hold such killer up in such high regards. I ask again, has anybody here ever read American Sniper? It is so much mindless dribble and propaganda, and hate. Read Marine Sniper instead, covering the exploits of Carlos Hathcock to get a look inside the mind of a man who is not a mindless brute. I don’t see much of difference between fire-bombing Dresden or shooting Iraqis. War makes killers of us all. Why anyone would take pride in killing defies the bond of humanity. Go read Lt. Col. Grossman’s book On Killing. It will open your eyes. Then read On Combat by the same author. There are simply no better titles to explain the transition from man into killing machine.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 9:17amI think he was murdered by an extreme right wing group to add power to their side of the gun debate. Is it not a little suspect that someone would take a mentally derranged person to a shooting range for “therapy?” I think that the teaparty and gun nutz had a hand in this conspiracy. Something just is not right.
It is also a little disheartening for the blaze to use his kids tears as a tool to gain sympathy in the debate. Is this not what you accused obama of during sandy hook?
You live your life worshipping and idolizing guns, chances are the gun will kill you. This case just proves my point. This man worships firearms and loves them so much it is only fitting that it was a firearm that killed him. Somethings are more surprising than others. This was no surprise at all.

I am an american who left america durin the bush years. I said i he won a second election we were moving and we did. At least we backed up our words. I thought rush limbaugh was supposed to leave after obama won? And nugent would be in prison or gone by now. I guess my word is stronger than theirs. Imagine that.
What is it you need your guns to protect you for? The tyrannical black man in the “white” house? The black kid eating skittles in a gated community? The chicago radicals? The fact that gays can now openly serve in the army? A womans right to choose? The soulless atheists trying to steal xmas away from you? What are you that scared of?
If you wanna live in a bunker with your guns and bible, by all means go for it. But i dont ever worry about anything since i moved here. If you wanna live in fear that is your perogative. But not all of the world are as paranoid and crazy as you.
Kyle was a killer. Plain and simple. He did not protect me or you from anything. If he stood on your doorstep and killed an intruder than he would be a hero. But he was 1000′s of miles away killing people from distance like a coward. The fact that this man is considered a hero is a joke. He is a nitwit that died because of his own stupidity by giving a gun to a man with psychological problems.
It was karma that he killed so many by a gun and died the same as th

Canada,
To many of us Chris did his DUTY as a soldier and did it with HONOR. As a young American, I grew up in the late 60s and read many stories of pot smoking hippie freaks and draft dodgers going to Canada to avoid service in Viet Nam. I do not mean to lump you into that catagory, but really Canada?
Do I fear society…. No I fear Obama and the “Entitled Uninformed Voter.”

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 4:55pmOk PA Patriot. If they were to enact the draft again for a war that is unjustified and that you know to be a travesty and they draft you, you will be ok with that and go slaughter some innocent people because uncle sam tells you too? I find that pretty pathetic.
Draft dodgers left because they did not want to die for a bullcrap cause. They knew the gov was lying to them about what was going on. Now i they voluntarily enlisted they would be sent back like what canada is doing now to the iraq soldiers trying to flee. Too bad. You signed up. Deal with it. But your president telling you to die for something you dont believe in unvoluntarily while rich people like romney and bush got deferrments…. Well can you blame those hippies? Not everyone is a killer. It takes a special kind of monster to kill on command. But no one will force me to kill anyone. I will take a bullet for my wife and children and kill if they were in danger but to sign up to kill people willingly will never happen. Not for me. If not killing people willingly makes me a coward than yes i am a coward. But a coward taking nothing to the grave with me. Killing in war because your commander tells you to does not justify it.
And if you are a christian you answer to god. What if god knows that the war was based on lies. Would he not make you suffer for that? Or would he forgive by repenting and saying sorry. Obama is the least warmongering president of the past 40 years. So what are you so scared of?

I am guessing that you believe that because we did not fid a working a weapon that there were no weapons of mass destruction. We found all the chemical components, the shells to deploy them and the clean room trailers to assemble them. In any court they are guilty as charged.
This woman that you said was protecting her land was in fact trying to kill her child. What do you have to say for the cleric that beat his 5 year old daughter to death because he thought some raped her? These people kill young girls that try to educate themselves. Anyone that treats another human with this level of malevolence for only trying to better themselves is an animal and should be dealt as such. Chris was protecting the protectors of freedom. Using your logic all police are murders that stop criminals by killing them.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 9:50amHomebuilder… I’m assuming based on your first paragraph that you are in favor of strict gun laws. Anyone who can’t see the propaganda and lies that got us into Iraq is caught up in some major cognitive dissonance.
As for the woman, you take some pretty irrational liberties in deaming that she was going to kill her child. Yes that makes sense… she kept her child safe and alive, but out of pure coincidence she became violently matricidal at the exact same time that she saw a gang of armed marines approaching. You ask me to use logic? A police officer who kills a criminal to protect the innocent is not a murderer… but a soldier who participates in an illegal war and kills innocent civilians overseas would be considered a murderer. Question: are the nazi’s who were patriotic and followed orders to kill innocent civilians patriots or murderers?
I don’t condone any sort of violence against others that is not in self defense… and there are sick and twisted muslims out there, just like there are sick and twisted catholics or buddhists. The problem is that you let Beck and others convince you that all muslims are evil. Take a look at Rick Steve’s presentation on his trip to Iran. You see many women at the Universities there. I assume that you didn’t know that women can seek higher education in Iran? Who is the ignorant one here?

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 7:58amAn excerpt from a piece by Future of Freedom Foundation president and Army veteran Jacob Hornberger:
Consider the following incident related by Kyle, who was one of the U.S. military’s deadliest snipers. Two weeks after he arrived in Iraq, he encountered a woman with a child who pulled a grenade as she was approached by a group of Marines. Kyle shot her dead. He said, “It was my duty to shoot, and I don’t regret it. My shots saved several Americans, whose lives were clearly worth more than that woman’s twisted soul.”
But who here has the twisted soul? That woman was defending her country from the troops of a brutal foreign regime that had unlawfully invaded and occupied her country and killed countless of her countrymen, perhaps members of her family or friends or acquaintances. Kyle was a soldier who had blindly followed the orders of the president to attack, invade, and occupy a country that had never attacked the United States and was killing people who were resisting his aggression.

Also, the average Muslim man wants nothing more than you do… to be left alone. A tiny fraction of muslims are radicalized to actively pursue harming others. Our aggressive military adventures in muslim countries are the greatest radicalizing factor. Al-qaida is able to recruit because of our actions. Read some liturature from Robert Pape to learn the truth about this subject.
