CNN Panelist’s Shock Claim: LA Cop Killer’s Rampage ‘Almost Like Watching Django Unchained in Real Life; It’s Kind of Exciting’
Suspected cop killer Christopher Dorner is believed to have been killed in Tuesday’s dramatic standoff with police that ended in flames at a cabin in Big Bear, Calif. However, there are still a number of questions left to answer, including how a murderer earned a fan base.
During a panel discussion on CNN Wednesday, Marc Lamont Hill, host of HuffPost Live and associate professor at Columbia University, said he understands why people were rooting for Dorner. He also made some shocking remarks about his murderous rampage.
“This has been an important conversation that we’ve had about police brutality, about police corruption, about state violence,” Hill said.
“As far as Dorner himself goes, he’s been like a real life superhero to many people,” he added. “Don’t get me wrong, what he did was awful, killing innocent people was bad, but when you read his manifesto, when you read the message that he left, he wasn’t entirely crazy.”
Dorner’s supporters were rooting for him because they wanted to see him get vengeance against the system that wronged him, according to Hill.
“It’s almost like watching ‘Django Unchained’ in real life,” Hill explained. “It’s kind of exciting.”
Here’s how “exciting” it was. Dorner killed two cops and two other innocent people during his shooting spree. Among the victims were Monica Quan, a 28-year-old assistant coach at Cal State Fullerton, 27-year-old USC safety officer Keith Lawrence, who was also Quan’s fiancé, Riverside police officer Michael Crain, 34, and a San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy.
Dorner’s killing rampage probably wasn’t very “exciting” to the victims and their families.
Hill argued that Dorner exposed police brutality and corruption within the LAPD and several of the panelists agreed that his rampage should serve as a catalyst for the country to have that conversation.
Another panelist said “the narrative of Christopher Dorner” resembles a Denzel Washington movie, in which “he was “wronged and stands up for himself and goes out in a blaze of glory. It’s hard for it not to turn into a movie.”
“Exactly,” Hill agreed.
Watch the entire segment via CNN/Mediaite:
As Townhall’s Katie Pavlich points out, Hill actually co-authored a book with convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal in December 2011.

Wonder how exciting if it was their family members that had been killed. What a bunch of complete idiots.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 6:40pmThe blacks have become the racist oppressors of anything lighter than themselves. Imagine, not learning or benefiting from past history. You know what they say about forgetting history…I’m afraid it’s gonna get rough…Not only have they forgotten how horrible it is to be discriminated against, they have forgotten the history of how repression and oppression is usually settled.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 8:02pmThe first US slave was Anthony Johnson .
Johnson was captured by slave traders in his native Angola and sold as a slave to a merchant working for the Virginia Company.
He arrived in Virginia in 1621
Johnson was sold to a white planter named Bennet to work on his Virginia tobacco farm as an indentured servant.
Johnson was freed at the end of his indenture cotract.
By July 1651 Johnson had five indentured servants of his own and 500 acres.
Slavery was officially established in Virginia in 1654, when Johnson convinced a court that his servant John Casor (also a black man), was his for life.
The court ruling in Johnson’s favor resulted in Casor becoming the first state-recognized slave in the Colony of Virginia.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 6:30pmDorner was every bit as sick and evil as the guy who shot up the school in Connecticut or the guy who shot up the theater in Colorado or any of the other a-hole’s that think they can justify taking an innocent persons life to get their message heard. Anyone that supports what Dorner did should have no problem with what the other shooters did.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 6:19pmListening to Dr. Hill on the radio is always difficult due to his tiresome, ubiquitous presentation of self-escalating agitation. Who ACTS that way, except a puppet using intimidation to brainwash the public.
Like so many other “liberals,” the discussion immediately dissolves and conflict and anger become the stars. It becomes obvious after enough of this routine that there IS NO argument, thus the need to hijack everyone’s attention to his own projected victimization.
Put together with his obvious racial bias, I give him as much due as any other Radical Left mouthpiece, as much as I can, and THAT is seriously diminishing.
I’ve always thought the Radical Marxist Communist Nazis were mentally compromised to the point of sociopathy, and every display like this one proves that point.
The world has an infection and needs its medicine now to wipe out the bugs.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 6:17pmStrange, they say they are ‘owed’ because of slavery, yet none of those saying it were slaves. If the current gov’t. has to pay reparations, and I pay taxes to the gov’t., why do I have to pay reparations when I’ve never enslaved anyone?
If people like him would just shut up, racism would probably go away.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 6:10pmAs far as I am concerned we have never had such racism talk or as much fighting in the middle east as there is now and the racism talk came from the President when he said “the police acted stupidly” when he didn’t have all the facts. A big mouth, a big government and a big ego gets a person nowhere and hurts a lot of others. SO THINK BEFORE YOU GOSSIP

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 5:59pmThese people are sick. Innocent people are dead. There’s nothing EXCITING about it. If this guy had a legitimate grievance, thats what the courts are for. Taking people’s lives because you think they’re guilty is not the way we do things in this country…well except for the President with his drones, but i digress. Innocent until proven guilty. That is how we as Americans do it. Furthermore, if they do make this into a movie (I have no doubt some sick hollywood director is dreaming it up right now), I will not be spending money to see it, and I encourage everyone to boycott it. No one should prosper from the death of innocents.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 5:55pmAh yes..the smiling “you know I hate whitey even though you’ll never hear me say it in public” sock puppet “Professor” Lamont Hill. He’s a professor of nothing useful to anyone except to angry racists and leftists. His salary is tantamout to telling your employer to tear up your paycheck each pay period.
What does it say about us as a society that the real human toll of the shooting rampage of an unhinged individual is reduced to “it’s hard not to turn it into a movie” by the sociopaths masquerading as social commentators in today’s marxstream media. The smiling, guffawing chimpanzee Lamont Hill likening Dorner’s real life killings to the “angry black guy/race hustler” wet dream of the movie “Django Unchained”. It’s like watching emotionally under-developed teenagers creaming themselves with likening Columbine to the game Doom or Duke Nukem…I almost expected Hill to burst out with an “oh yeah did you see that cop go down? Awesome dawg…I need to save this level so I don’t lose it”. Someone should have just spat on the useless piece of human debris and told him to make a movie out of that..”exactly”.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 5:55pmIf it werent for the federal war on drugs, there would be a lot less gangs and violence in the LA area – and the LAPD would be half the size it currently is. It is likely that without the war on drugs, this tragedy would not have occured.

“kills on his scorecard”….really? You pretend to have the moral high-ground over your poorly expressed (and tediously predictable) invocation of “neo cons” (sic) and the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan but you call Dorner’s killing of four human beings in his madness, his “scorecard”?
Would you be as flippant if I lined up your family and put them on my “scorecard”? No..you’d be an inconsolable mess and all that phony bravado you’re trying to impress on us here would turn into a yellow puddle forming on the floor between your legs. Cur.
