You’ll Never Believe the Simple Question That Stumped This Famed Author During Fox Interview

Fox News
News show banter is usually meant to be light-hearted and fun. It’s not supposed to stump your guest — especially about something as basic as her own pets’ names.
U.K. author Jackie Collins went on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” to discuss her latest book. When the segment started, co-host Steve Doocy said they had just been discussing dogs.
“You have them at your house,” Doocy said.
“I do, I have Labradors,” Collins replied.
She answered several other questions fine — she has two dogs, they’re both male, they get along — but it was co-host Gretchen Carlson’s question that made her draw a blank.
“What are their names?” Carlson asked.
“Um, what are their names?” Collins repeated. “I don’t know, because I call them ‘dogs.’ ‘Dog One and Dog Two.’”
There was an awkward moment before the conversation turned to Collins’ newest book. When the segment wrapped up a few minutes later, Doocy implored Collins to “Give our best to your two dogs.”
“I will, yeah — whose names I don’t know,” Collins quipped.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 5:41pmActually it takes me a minute to remember both my dogs names, unless they are in trouble, then it comes to me immediately. I can tell you that unless it’s someone I trust they don’t get their real names, ever!

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 2:23pmThe Blaze headline writer can’t go a day without a “You won’t believe… You’ll never believe…”
If we won’t believe it, why run it?
Lazy journalism. Lazy headline writer.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 2:16pmI don’t see the problem. Her dogs are named Dog 1 and Dog 2. I think it’s funny. I call the dog I live with (not my dog) “Dog” a lot. He doesn’t seem to mind or think twice about it.

Posted on February 13, 2013 at 12:54pmSounds like an old “Married With Children” segment. Al has two folks named Habib in his store. Al wonders how you tell them apart. The answer is you say Habib, then point to the one you want.
If you remember Larry, Darrel and Darrel, the same thing applies.
Her explanation sounds fine to me.
