Famed Investor Trashes State of the Union Address: Makes You Wonder Whether Obama Is ‘Delusional’ Or ‘Lying’
Noted investor, free market advocate, and author Jim Rogers during an interview with Glenn Beck on Wednesday said that Tuesday’s State of the Union address makes you wonder whether President Barack Obama is “delusional” or just a good liar.
Our “debt is physically impossible to pay off,” Rogers said after Beck asked whether the country has passed the point of no return. “We are the largest debtor nation in the history of the world.”
“If everybody paid 100 percent of their earnings as taxes, we still couldn’t pay it off,” he added.
The famed investor then turned his attention to the president’s statement last night that our economy is getting stronger.
“Mr. Obama said last night that everything is great,” Rogers said, much to Beck’s amusement. He added: “He said that everything is great and that the middle class is on the way back and everything is fine now.”
“I mean, the man is delusional. I was really afraid when I saw that,” he continued on a more serious note. “It’s delusional. It was frightening.”
“I don’t know if he believed it or if he was just lying,” Rogers added.
“I don’t really care at this point,” Beck chimed in, “He’s either the best liar or he is completely delusional. I don’t know which it is, but it doesn’t matter.”
“There’s a whole crowd of good liars out there in Washington,” the famed investor joked.
Rogers and Beck continued, discussing everything from Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.)’s State of the Union response to the global decline in the number of people willing to pursue agriculture (i.e. farming) as a profession.

Have you heard the term “sheeple”?
There are technocrats on the left who refer to people who have been conditioned to think along certain lines as sheeple… they are not capable of “thinking outside the box”. “The box” is their world and their understanding of it. They also tend to dismiss people who disagree with hem as “crazy” in one way or another so they don’t have to use time and brain cells coming up with refutations of their arguments.
The ability to think outside the box is part of being an adaptable and intelligent being…. arguably part of being human. I don’t want to go along with someone who encourages people to surrender part of their humanity to go along with the herd… and then condescends to them because they have.

Singapore doesn’t believe in individual freedom, but they are a tax haven for the wealthy. I don’t trust Jim Rogers, either. Posted on February 13, 2013 at 3:23pmMr. Rogers’s point is actually irrelevant, since the US debt was just as impossible to pay off when it was @ $10T when Mr. Obama took office as it is today. The best the US can hope to accomplish is to bring down its annual deficit to a stable percentage of GDP so that the interest on the debt stabilizes.
It is evident from the Q4 GDP decrease that any drastic cuts in government spending will actually contract the economy and will prolong high enemployemnt.

Many of the Marxist types are chomping at the bit to run the place. We need to realize how long it took them to get this far. Most of this “plan” was started in the teens and twenties, so there’s no big hurry. Even if Obama weren’t the leader in chief there would be others with the same sad principles. Like others here I also believe it’s too late. Too many laws prevent us from being the country we once were. Common sense is no longer a plus in our society. Our children have been taken from us and taught America is a bad place and they have to change it. The police are in charge, the TSA is in charge, the military may soon be “in charge”.
