Find Out Why People Are Saying This Teenager Gave the Greatest ‘Jeopardy!’ Answer Ever

Find Out Why Everyones Talking About This Teenagers Appearance on Jeopardy!

Leonard Cooper (YouTube)

Teenager Leonard Cooper emerged victorious in the “Jeopardy! Teen Tournament” finals this week, and his final answer to the “final Jeopardy” question has made him somewhat of an Internet sensation.

After an extremely entertaining performance, including boldly betting all of his winnings on a Daily Double question, Cooper goes into the last question very confident about his chances of winning. He was so confident, in fact, he phoned in his brazen answer to the final “Military Men” category.

The clue: “On June 6, 1944, he said, ‘The eyes of the world are upon you.’”

Cooper’s answer: “Who is…some guy in Normandy. But I just won $75,000!”

While the tournament offers lump sum awards to contestants, Cooper’s plan was not foolproof. Should contestant “Nilai” have wagered all his money and gotten the answer right, Cooper would have probably looked like an idiot.

But it certainly worked out for him. Watch the clip below:

Smart guy. Even if someone were close enough to beat him for first place, though by betting everything and getting the answer correct, he didn’t spend any money to compete, so it’s easy come, easy go. Healthy, amusing attitude.

The final call, which is always the diciest, was what impressed.

He obviously figured he wouldn’t need even to answer the question to win the game, and it was a creative gamble.

Im glad the mods scrubbed all of the racist comments off of this thread. Pathetic how some people only see race in everything.

What’s sad is one of the three knew the correct answer. We dumb down history, to the point “history” is basically pop culture.

One more thing….it was hard not to root for this guy because he was a good player, very articulate, and extremely well-read. He was the real deal! He’s everything we all wish the typical HS kid was. Why some of you are dogging him in the manner in which you are tells me more about you than anything about him.

Ths kid didn’t win on Final Jeopardy any way. He made a bold move at the end of Double Jeopardy when he risked $18000 of his total of $18200 on a Daily Double and blew his opponents out of the game. Final Jeopardy was a formality.
