Former Sen. Scott Brown’s New Gig Means You’ll Be Seeing a Lot More of Him

Former Sen. Scott Brown Hired as a Fox News Contributor

Former Massachusetts Republican Sen. Scott Brown has joined Fox News as a contributor, a network spokeswoman confirmed to TheBlaze.

Brown, who was ousted from his Senate seat in November by Democrat Elizabeth Warren, will provide political commentary for Fox’s daytime and evening programs. He will make his debut Wednesday night on “Hannity.”

“Senator Brown’s dedication to out-of-the box thinking on key issues makes him an important voice in the country and we are looking forward to his contributions across all Fox News platforms,” Bill Shine, the network’s executive vice president of programming, said in a statement.

Howard Kurtz of the Daily Beast and CNN was the first to confirm the news Wednesday.

Brown recently announced he would not be seeking Secretary of State John Kerry’s newly-vacated Senate seat.

“I am looking forward to commenting on the issues of the day and challenging our elected officials to put our country’s needs first instead of their own partisan interests,” Brown said in the statement.

Brown, seen as a more moderate Republican, is a notable hire for Fox, which has recently shaken up its contributor lineup. The network parted ways with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin last month and with former Clinton presidential adviser Dick Morris last week. Morris’ credibility took a major hit after the general election when he predicted Mitt Romney would beat President Barack Obama in a landslide.

  Scott Brown didn’t oppose the affordable health care act since Massachusetts already had the same program in place at the state level.
  
  I think it was Politico that broke this story last week on the 6th.
  
  It is an understatement to call Scott Brown moderate.
  
  Money talked and it got him elected under false pretenses. It’s hard to tell which group of voters ranks lower on the intelligence scale.

@CATB: I am watching Dr. Phil Show now on “Women who are obsessed over Scott Browns perfect abs and hairy chest.” Does that qualify? US Conservatives need to lighten up about some things. Don’t take me so seriously because I don’t take Scott Brown’s HOT BOD as serious as I take my 2% half calf low foam caramel whip latte. Now if that darn “bitter barista” doesn’t make it exactly perfect right now there is going to be some serious ruckus up here in this SEattle , Washington STarbucks I am in right now! Conservative need to stop watching FoxNews and find better home for there news. I suggest call you cable, tv or entertainment provider and request TheBlaze be added and ask them to remove unwanted networks.

He only “pretended” to be part of the GOP to get elected or don’t you understand the SAME STRATEGY Ron Paul used by becoming a Republican Congressman although he is an Independent? There is no per se established Independent Party in the United States with any clout so Independents like Scott Brown and Ron Paul ‘USE” the GOP to get elected okay?
