‘It Goes Back to the Bin Laden Attack’: Expert Who Said New Benghazi Info Will Leave You ‘Amazed and Shocked’ Gives More Details to TheBlaze

Brigitte Gabriel on New Benghazi Info: Connected to Bin Laden, Sources Are Top Generals, Get Those Involved Under Oath | Shocked and Amazed

Brigitte Gabriel, one of the world’s leading experts on Islamic extremism, said over the weekend that there will be new information to come out on the Benghazi attack that will leave people “amazed and shocked” when they finally hear it.

“As someone working with the intelligence community…more information is going to come out regarding the Benghazi attack that will really leave people amazed and shocked how we have been — on how we are defending the country,” Gabriel said on Fox News.

The story exploded on TheBlaze, with 550 comments and over 12,000 “shares” on social media outlets as of this article’s publication. And keep in mind that that’s only a fraction of the people who read the story.

We decided to reach out to Gabriel to see if she’d be willing to elaborate on her comments, and you’ll want to know what she had to say.

But first, here’s video of her original remarks:

During the interview, Gabriel discussed everything from the yet-to-be-released information that will leave people “amazed and shocked,” to reports that U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was involved in a “gun-running” operation before he was killed.

Gabriel couldn’t divulge the source of her information or any specifics, but she gave us enough to add significant new pieces to the puzzle the American people are trying to assemble in determining what happened to the 4 brave Americans who were killed overseas.

“There are multiple issues that will come out, I wish I could tell you, but it goes back to the Bin Laden attack,” she said. [Emphasis added].

When asked if she could give readers a general idea of who her sources are, Gabriel replied: “I have connections with some of the highest generals in our military who told me [the information], face to face, by mouth. They looked at me and said, here’s what going on, here’s the thing…”

Weighing in on reports that Ambassador Stevens was involved in a gun-running operation to provide arms to Syrian rebels at the behest of the U.S. government, Gabriel was equally clear.

“There was an operation; they were smuggling weapons to Syria, and he died because he was involved and because something went wrong,” she stated.

But according to Gabriel, more information on the gun-running program is only one aspect of the explosive information that will be released.

So why, roughly five months later, don’t we know this information already? When will it be released? And by whom?

Gabriel was decidedly optimistic and pessimistic at the same time.

In her opinion, it’s possible the information won’t ever come out unless we have a short term special committee to investigate the attack, where those involved are forced to answer legitimate questions under oath by lawmakers who actually want to bring light to the matter.

It can’t be a “slobber fest” like Hillary Clinton’s testimony, Gabriel noted.

The best way to go about this, she said, is to put pressure on lawmakers by supporting legislation introduced by Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA) to create the committee, which you can do through her organization ACT! for America.

“We know that unless those responsible, like Panetta and the others, are called into an official hearing under oath, the truth is not going to come out,” she said. “Before the hearing [last Thursday], no one knew that the president that wasn’t in touch with anybody.”

Many of those involved, she said, will speak the truth if subpoenaed and put before Congress, but they’re not going to volunteer any information. They have careers, promotions, and reputations to consider.

“People are afraid to talk, including some of the top generals we have!” she lamented. “They’re trying to cover their behind. And that’s not right by our country.”

She continued:

“It is such a shame that in our country today, we have an administration that is not forthright and truthful, is more concerned with public appearances and elections than protecting America. It is shameful the way this administration has handled national security and foreign policy, to the point where we have become the laughingstock of our enemy…to have an ambassador killed in such a way…”

Gabriel proceeded to note that a country is in a perilous position when you have honorable people leaving the armed forces because they cannot do their jobs the way they know they must be done, or when they stay in but are “shackled” by political correctness.

“How can we conduct a war when we cannot teach them about the enemy?” she asked, noting that references to violent jihad have been purged from some cultural training manuals.

Bottom line, she said, “unless you put [those involved] under oath and before a committee, the American public is not going to get the truth.”

This is a story. If it were a GOP witch hunt then why doesn’t the administration come out and tell the truth to clear their name. Their is something very rotten to this whole thing and the truth needs to be told. In case you forgot, four people died.

I am aware 4 people died, i am also aware they ae adults and knew the risks of their mission. 2 former seals? Former seals work for defense contractors ( I know since my best man was a seal and is in defense contracting) and they were protecting their sales person, Amb. Stevens.

While it is awful to see any American life lost thiswas a CIA job and those invloved knew the risks.

I do think that it speaks voulumes of this administration that they arehaving hearings so quickly after it happened. I remember the irst 9-11 attack and it took years for hearings so to me this is an improvement.

It was indeed a gun running operation to get weapons into the hands of the Syrian rebels as well as the Egyptian rebels during the Mubarak overthrow. Turkey was in on it and so was Russia. The problem is, the veil of secrecy over this little CIA led operation, conjured up by the Obama team, was starting to fall apart and the whole thing had to be scrubbed.

Stevens became a liability-they couldn’t risk him talking if and when the whole thing eventually blew up. So, he had to be taken out of the picture.

In the last few hours running up to the attack, the roads leading to the compound were cordoned off and guarded by armed personnel. The locals around the area knew something was about to happen and didn’t venture outside. It was a hit and I’m betting that it was ordered by the administration.

I also have to wonder how many people in D.C. actually knew this was going on? Probably more than I first suspected.

I believe the retired Navy Admiral who stated on Lou Dobbs, he thinks given the lack of response and White House/State Dept. posture during the attack and subsequent cover up, that Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood staged a kidnapping of the Ambassador to trade for the Blind Sheik held in NY for the 1993 WTC bombing. Funny, a Turkish dignitary left teh Ambassador just minutes before the kidnapping attempt. Turkey PM is Obama’s buddy and the first person he called when taking office in 2009.

Looking back over ALL that has happened & that the public was content to just
“shut up and believe what we tell you, unless you are bible-believing, gun-toting, uneducated idiots/nazis/e-coli/teabaggers”
I do not think we shall ever hear the truth again, and wonder if we did if it wouldn’t seem so strange
we wouldn’t believe it.

I can vouge for Brigett Gabriel however. She is the real deal. I had a college room-mate who told me a similar story to hers(exact same background) way back in the 70s .

Impeach Obama and Holder. Put Clinton and Panetta in jail. Clinton should already have served time for her role in Watergate (look it up) or at the very least have been disbarred.

The guns were Libyan weapons…AKs, RPGs, and rockets and other munitions, possibly even chemical. I read about this somewhere…2 or 3 weeks after it happened? I told anyone who would listen, but I was branded a “conspiracy theorist.” Now it looks like its true.

Shocked and amazed by what, obvious facts? This was a CIA mission that anyone with common sense could see, they did fly out 24 CIA operatives that night. Good luck getting info from the CIA on this, it wont happen. And thishas nothing to do wiht Obama and is nothing more than a GOP witch hunt. There is a thin called ” plausibe deniability” which means the CIA kept admin in the dark so it cant come back to hurt the admin. So hav fun with this non story folks

So the only way we are ever going to hear anything is if we sign a petition to have it heard. You say you have information on this from credible people well then put it out there. i have heard this for a week and now you cant say anything. not go around telling people i have info when you are not willing to say anything unless the politicians agree to it. they never will just say it for gods sake

I sure hope that none of these people that know the info make the “Drone hit list” ? That is why killing Americans is AGAINST THE CONSTUTION. Just a thought, what if these folks were “Taken out” by a drone attack and then it was reported by Obummer and his appointees that the folks taken out were working with terrorist? Who could dispute the info????

Hillary sure has a sense of humor about all this. Her laughing during the testimony is scary. Her joy at killing Quadafi is what really showed me how ugly this woman’s spirit is. Losing these Americans in Benghazi, most of who were loyal supporters of Hillary and this evil administration was no big deal. “What’s the difference.” You’d have to be stupid/mentally liberal to work in government and be sent overseas to work for people who don’t know your name, feed you to the hyenas, and then act like it was all your fault for choosing to work in a dangerous role in Africa.

We have an adminstration made up of the EXTREME of the EXTREME left (Communists, Socialist, Muslim Brotherhood) who will do anything to achieve and maintain power. Failed gun running op where people died, is a big “So what” to these guys, the same with Fast and Furious, the AG was running guns to Mexican Drug Cartels, people died and a big “So what” followed.
