Obama and GOP Senator Share ‘Exploding Bipartisan Fist Bump’ on House Floor

President Barack Obama was captured on video doing an exploding fist bump with Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) on the House floor following his State of the Union address on Monday. It is being dubbed the “exploding bipartisan fist bump.”

This GIF, courtesy of Gawker, is now spreading across social media:

Obama and GOP Congressman Share Exploding Bipartisan Fist Bump

You may recall, Sen. Kirk suffered a stroke in 2012 and recently returned to Congress. Kirk claims to have seen “angels” and says the stroke was a “gift from God.”

This is what you must know:

it wasn’t a fist bump. It was a terrorist fist jab. Fox News has the fair and balanced perspective you need:

      Mr or Ms M13,

This is what you must know:

Ted Nugent’s pants? Whatever do you mean? what do his pants have to do with anything? Oh, wait, you must mean his admission that he stewed in his own feces for a week to avoid the draft, refusing to defend this great nation, choosing instead to pursue sexual relations with underage girls.

      Thanks for reminding me.

      It is so.

Obama should be indefinitely suspended for using that violent exploding fist bump gesture. What kind of message doe’s it send to our children? There should be a zero tolerance policy for that sort of thing, especially coming from King Obama. What was he thinking? It could lead to serious acts of violence much like the ‘finger gun’ …

It’s kinda exciting for me to see this little symbol of bipartisanship. no tingle down my leg, but encouraging. I think if the two/three parties started getting along at this point, it would be huge. On the scale of palestine/israel big, or india/pakistan, or like that movie Independence Day when the whole joined together to fight the alien invasion huge.

Love the fist bump and hug!!Our President is a man of great heart which is why so many people love him. I know it absolutely kills the bigots, but Barack Obama is liked and respected here and abroad because his humanity shows through. Finally, a president we can be truly proud of for for his intellect and compassion.

      “His humanity shows through”
I think that is an incredibly poignant way of describing his appeal. While I’m sure you will be receiving some negative responses to your post, I personally think you are dead on.
In fact, it makes me wonder in a larger sense, how people can have such varied judgments of his character, and how strange it is that this variation is based on party identification. Do republicans look at dick cheney and see a nice grandpa character? Do they have problems watching tv and movies because they can’t properly identify the villain and the hero? Does conservatism make you scowl when you are happy?
Maybe it’s simpler than that…A academic study I ran across the other day found that conservatives were less trusting than liberals. Oddly, it also found that conservatives were more likely to be defrauded and generally cheated. I think there is a connection in all of this, but maybe it’s all coincidence.

I’m sorry, but that is not a sign of compassion. A sign of compassion for me would be if the president took his brother from Kenya out of misery and gave him at least a job as the janitor at the white house. Once he starts caring about his brother in Kenya, then you can come back and talk to me about compassion from the president.

Yeah right. While our kids are being suspended at school for gesturing with ‘violent’ finger guns,King Obama has the audacity to give a man with heart problems an exploding handshake. His ‘intellect and compassion’ could just as easily be construed as a violent gesture towards a member of the opposing Party.

Glad you both just LLLLLove the president and are able to brush off all the things he’s said and all the people he’s been associated with before and during his time in office. Ayers, Dohrn, Emanuel, V Jones, Wright, Holdren, Holder, are just the tip of the iceberg of the people that the man who wants to “fundamentally transform” America.
I’m sure you both can sleep all comfy knowing that if you just “spend a little more” that your financial woes will vanish, even without a job to pay all those bills.

How is it that every time someone agrees with something that you do not, they were drinking the cool-aid? Can’t I stand for the values that this president represents without being diametrically opposed to yours? You all happily attribute horrible things to Obama’s values, but I’ve been listening too, and I hear none of those ‘evil’ intentions. I’ve seen the videos, the movies, and read all the first-hand accounts, and there is nothing there that would convince a jury and nothing there that would convince a logical sane thinking person. Believe what you want, but if you expect everyone to agree with your delusional crazy land where something like, “improving education” means send all the non-believers to a forced education camp, your are going to continue to be laughed at. P.S. and I will continue to have a job selling you this propaganda ;)
