Scalia Comes Clean on Obamacare Outcome: ‘I Was Disappointed’ With John Roberts

Justice Antonin Scalia Comes Clean on Obamacare Outcome: I Was Disappointed With Chief Justice John Roberts

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has finally conceded that he was “disappointed” with Chief Justice John Roberts’ key backing of most of President Barack Obama’s health care law last year.

The 76-year-old justice has long publicly dismissed reports that he and Roberts had a “falling out” in the wake of the decision, but seemed to hedge on that for the first time on Tuesday.

“I was disappointed it came out the way it did,” Scalia told an audience of Smithsonian Institution supporters, the Washington Examiner reported.

But Scalia said of Roberts: “I don’t work for him, and he doesn’t work for me.”

Following the landmark decision, which was decided by a narrow 5-4 margin, reports swirled that Scalia was “enraged” at his chief and fellow conservative.

“Have you ever heard the expression, ‘Win some lose some?’ That’s life and just be resigned to it. Yeah, I am greatly disappointed when I can’t persuade a majority of my colleagues,” Scalia said Tuesday. “But that’s life, that’s the system we have, that’s why we have nine justices instead of one. I’m disappointed, but I stumble on.”

SCALIA IS NOT TELLING THE TRUTH

The US Supreme Court has turned itself into a despicable and disgraced tribunal that now rivals Nazi Germany’s Nuremberg Court. It is no different now than any other ministry of tyranny dedicated to legitimizing what ever the national government wants to do. It has joined with the other two branches of government to become the Troyka of Evil.

Roberts and his family had to have been threatened regarding that decision. According to sources Roberts changed his opinion in the last 2 hours before the opinion was due. He had actually written a different opinion. Something happened. As soon as the opinion was made public he took this family and immediately left the country. Obama runs with very bad people. I would not be surprised at anything he does.

What Roberts did was declare the mandate a tax. It always was a tax there all the waivers given to Obama union buddies are illegal and unconstitutional no one can opt out of a tax unless it is specificly written in the tax law. Obama will have to either cancel all waivers and require everyone to be treated the same or cancel Obamacare and start from scratch.

What’s really funny is Obamacare is atually screwing over the very people they claim to help. You think this is going to affect the “evil, rich, Republicans”? It’s not. It’s going to affect the poor and those without insurance. Even most of us who will pay more for our insurance will be OK. But you people that depend on food stamps and Emergency rooms for healthcare are in for a surprise if you think this is going to work out for you. Those of us with good jobs will carry on. Obamacare, like other government benefits, will ensure you stay on the bottom where you belong.

BEFORE the final VOTE in the HOUSE,,,,, the HOUSE wasn’t given the TIME to READ

remember the final decision was made BEHIND CLOSED DOORS at the last minute

This evil “Bill” and everyone who passed it without reading it, behind closed doors, and on technicalities, reworded it and rebranded it in every which way to get it passed as “law”. It is an abomination to the constitution and everything this great nation once stood for. Instead of calling it “Obamacare”, I think it should be rebranded by its new rightful owner as “O’Roberts Care”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xb-sqx8EZAA

You talk your phony patriotism, personal responsibility garbage talk, but in reality, every moment of your waking hours is spent blaming everyone but yourselves for their miserable state of mind. Hypocrisy is so rampant with you people that your yourselves forget where you stand on any given issue. One week Justice Roberts is your poster boy for conservativism, then the next day you’re viciously attacking him using personal smears. Oh, and you do it all in the name of Jesus. The power of taxation for not purchasing something does not pass the rational thinking test.
Yes, many did think Roberts would decide differently, but you exaggerate when saying all who are smearing him are doing it in the name of Jesus.

Now all who are really in Christ are joint heirs with Him and that means all that He has. He was made to be our Wisdom. The reverential fear of the Lord includes the hatred of evil. A wise man can see evil while the foolish will fall headlong into it.

I think whatever caused Roberts to decide the way he did is just part of the course of events that will free America by causing the the downfall of progressivism, socialism, Babylonism, whatever it is called. This is Divine intervention. The man made institutions will collapse under the weight of their own sin. They have snubbed God for so long they are being given over to reprobate minds. Have you noticed the absence of moral values and rational, analytical thinking?
They think they can meet their own needs without God.

But, John Roberts, ‘HAD to save it.” Why? He was cowed by DC and public opinion of the DC Hierarchy. A Justice that is cowed by interest groups (DC Democrats/Media) is chilling.

Third, there will not be any problem repealing this. Once it really starts kicking in and those that were in favor of it start to die because of death panels, and when they have to wait two years for an MRI, and the cost of their healthcare starts to hit them in their wallet, then the nation will scream a different tune. We need things to be this bad so that when the collapse comes we will finaly vote in a consertive God loving leadership that will straighten things out and bury the progressive ideology for a thousand years.

It is not health care, it is forcing people to buy health insurance that do not have the money, in a flawed economy that will exabberate the flaws, not eliminate them?

I believe this violates the civil rights of others on many levels, especially the rights of privacy, the government will now think it has reasonable cause to search everything in your life, when the US Constitution is the exact opposite direction?

He really is, isn’t he? I’ve not seen a picture where he doesn’t have that smug, smarmy look as well. This is the one time when we can say, honestly, It’s Bush’s Fault ™.

This isn’t even a questionable case. It’s slam dunk. The reasoning is “Where is Federal authority granted by the Constitution to mandate a purchase in the market”. There is none. Ok, so call it a tax. Now ask “Where is Federal authority granted by the Constitution to tax somebody for not purchasing a product in the market”? There is none. Congress can write tax law, but the question isn’t “is it a tax” rather it’s compulsory purchase of an item in order to be a citizen.

This is all known of course. And the Benedict Arnold name Roberts knows it as well. He was either bought or threatened, though I suspect bought given how smug he still appears. If his house falls off a cliff tomorrow with him in it, I will not mourn the loss.
