Missouri Dems Introduce Alarming Gun Confiscation Bill Giving Law-Abiding Gun Owners 90 Days to Turn in Certain Firearms or Become Felons

Democrats in Missouri introduced startling anti-gun legislation that would require gun owners to hand over their legally purchased so-called “assault weapons” to “the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction” within 90 days.

Under the proposed bill, “Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.”

Here are some additional provisions found in the gun control bill:

(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or

(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.

5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.

So essentially the law would turn a law-abiding gun owner today, into a felon tomorrow.

State Reps. Rory Ellinger (D-86) and Jill Schupp (D-88) reportedly introduced the anti-gun legislation, House Bill 545, this week.

Gun confiscation is being talked about more and more by lawmakers as a means to get so-called “assault weapons,” which are really semi-automatic rifles, off the streets. Democrats in California last week also proposed legislation that called for the potential confiscation of the state’s 166,000 legally purchased semi-automatic rifles.

California Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento) defended the massive gun control package, saying “we can save lives.”

a Militia guy told me even if they get some home owners guns they still have to get back to safety in one piece. he said folks are training to T bone any Communistl or infringement vehicle at 40 to 60 mph. And freeing the arrested if still alive, i wont say whats in store for the leftys if they are alive they didnt tell me.

Folks, you probably won’t buy into this, but this gun control issue and the latest issue of the President being able to order the assassination of American “terrorists” are related. The assassination issue is NOT about just killing so-called Americans linked to terror groups. What it is about is the President being able to order the killing of any American that may rise up against the government in a violent manner. A plausible scenario would be the use of deadly force against Americans that resisted any government effort to confiscate their weapons, because you can rest assured that any American who took up arms against the U.S. government will be labeled a terrorist. In 1776, they were called patriots.

  we won’t need to move to Texas because the law is unlikely to pass since we have a Republican controlled legislature. Further, the police and sheriffs all over rural Missouri have already indicated they will not carry out any such legislation because it violates both the U.S. and Mo. constitutions. The libs and apparently, Glenn Beck, are too ignorant to know this. Finally, if they should try to come for the gun and gunowners, there will be hell to pay.

This has NO chance of passing in the Republican-controlled House, but I am glad that the Dems showed people who they really are and what they want to do. Of course, if the Dems got all of their wishes, they would confiscate ALL of our guns.

I told you. The Dems are NOT sweating bullets (pun intended) over this. THEY KNOW they already have this in the bag – WE just don’t know it yet! Oby HAS told a certain circle that he WILL ban guns. “Assault weapons” are already dead and they are starting the collection. The Dems are now after ALL PISTOLS! The Dems are simply putting in “face time”, but are not listening to one word that promotes the second amendment. IT’S BECOME “FASHION” FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS TO HATE GUNS!! Just look at any form of media and you will see that ALL gun owners are more evil than cigarette smokers. The cast of “Glee” will tell you this.

You think I’m nuts? Watch and be amazed what Oby has already completed and we don’t even know it yet. Feinstein isn’t even blinking and cannot be rattled. There’s a reason for her confidence. She’s already gotten the ‘green light’ from Oby. Oby has had the Executive Order drawn up and ready a year ago. What scares me the most is how completely quiet Pelosi has been over the past few months. SHE DOES KNOW SOMETHING.

  Um, nobody has my “assault weapon”, sorry. Here’s me with mine a couple of weeks ago, locked and loaded, on the streets of Columbus, Ohio. It’s an StG-58 (FN FAL) in .308. The sidearm, also not confiscated, is for bling purposes mostly, a Ruger Blackhawk in .45LC, loaded and ready for drawing. Ohio is cool with gun rights, you see. :)

They’re just scared and playing to their base. Missouri is not what you’d call an anti-gun culture, by any measure. These Dems just want to look good for their frightened, shaking constituency for the next election, nothing more. The tactical effectiveness of this on actual Missouri law will be 0.0%.

Well folks these are your nice Liberals. The only felons here are the democrats who back this bill. They are infringing on the 2ndamendment rights of all Missouri citizens. You all have the right and duty to protect your rights if and when they come to your home. You have the Supreme Court Ruling giving you 2nd amendment rights and it is in effect now. This is just what our fore fathers warned us about. the tyrannical take over and destruction of your rights. We have a duty to defend the Bill of rights as well as the Constitution. If you have to shoot a Communist that comes to your home to violate your 2nd amendment rights so be it. We are right they the attackers are the felons. Laws of the Land are on your side

It’s so retarded of all these state representatives in Missouri, New York, Colorado, et al, to introduce UNCONSTITUTIONAL legislation. What tree are they dreaming in? Did Obao Tse Dung insist they do this? Are they being paid? Or is Missouri lining up with the other states to receive Federal money? It’s so frustrating that we have to fight this fight!
