Missouri Dems Introduce Alarming Gun Confiscation Bill Giving Law-Abiding Gun Owners 90 Days to Turn in Certain Firearms or Become Felons

Democrats in Missouri introduced startling anti-gun legislation that would require gun owners to hand over their legally purchased so-called “assault weapons” to “the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction” within 90 days.

Under the proposed bill, “Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.”

Here are some additional provisions found in the gun control bill:

(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or

(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.

5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.

So essentially the law would turn a law-abiding gun owner today, into a felon tomorrow.

State Reps. Rory Ellinger (D-86) and Jill Schupp (D-88) reportedly introduced the anti-gun legislation, House Bill 545, this week.

Gun confiscation is being talked about more and more by lawmakers as a means to get so-called “assault weapons,” which are really semi-automatic rifles, off the streets. Democrats in California last week also proposed legislation that called for the potential confiscation of the state’s 166,000 legally purchased semi-automatic rifles.

California Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento) defended the massive gun control package, saying “we can save lives.”

We are an open carry state. Even in Jefferson City you see folks with guns on their hip. Those two Libs that submitted this bill (which will go nowhere), are going to have to leave the Capitol building today, and probably have to face some of those gun toting folks that might have questions for them. I’m sure that those citizens will be polite; but somehow would not like to be the Lib legislators.

This is just a Lib publicity stunt to keep gun control in the news. There is zero chance of this being passed… probably won’t get out of committee.

What this bill HAS done here in Missouri though, is probably guaranteed that the bill referenced below WILL pass. Especially note the last provision.

Our one and only war between the states other wise know as the second War of Independence ,other wise known as Civil War started here in Missouri in 1858 by Missouri residents nearly 3 years before one shot was fired at fort Sumter,and we can dam sure effectively start another one here in Missouri if we have too,,we know all to well how to do it.and them sumbitches in Jeff City know it very well

Yeah that’s not going to pass. I’m a Missouri citizen and the state just passed a law saying that if anyone here in Missouri tries to take away our guns and infringe on the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, sheriffs in Missouri are told to arrest them immediately. So over here, the sheriffs have our back, and we do have really good people in our state government.

  They know it won’t work, but it accomplishes Three things…
  
  1. It sets a precedence.
  2. Once failed, THEN the Dem’s can point the finger at anyone who didn’t vote for it, and claim that they are Pro-Murder.
  3. It allows the Federal Government to say, “Well, the states tried it and it failed… I guess we will have to use executive orders….”
  
  Perfect plan for them (or so they think)…. They NEVER wanted this one to pass… Just need to get it on the record as a starting point.

If people try to resist when the gov’t comes for weapons they will just do a Waco assault on them. Send in the tanks to burn the house down and kill all the women and children inside while the rest of the country watches on TV and sits on their hands!! people talk about not giving in and I truly hope it never comes to that but if it does I am afraid the gov’t will do one house at a time in one city so everyone can see the government is willing to murder to get what it wants. Just like what happened in. Waco was nothing short of murder and nothing ever happened to anyone involved from the gov’t. As long as the president goes along with something like that the sheeple will do nothing. I hope times have changed…

Not quite a month yet and the commie’s minions are full speed ahead. Hope all that just had to stay home or vote for all except the presidency are ready for the ugly ride we have before us. These dirty rats will stop and nothing and before you know it we will be reporting on how many guns they have confiscated – oh wait a second – we would still need access to the internet to do that so wonder then that big hammer comes down. I would add wake up America but we already know that call goes unanswered. Tragic days ahead, sadly, for all of us because we have to pay the price along with the ones that made this happen.

I will not denounce my citizenship, nor turn my back on The Constitution of the United States of America. I do not agree to relinquish these God given rights to you. I do not absolve you from your sworn oath to protect and uphold The Constitution of the United States of America.

Do you really think 70 million gun owning FREE MEN will simply turn in their firearms and turn their backs on freedom. I fear that the signal for the start of this country’s new civil war will be at the hand of the person that give orders to march against the FREE MAN. With the first gun taken from any one of us, 69,999,999 firearm carrying freedom fighters will come to rescue our brother/sister and restore their freedom.

Paul Revere’s midnight ride was to warn Colonist the British are coming TO CONFISCATE their weapons.

General Gage had heard that the Patriots were stockpiling weapons and ammunition and went to Lexington to disarm the patriots. Didn’t work out too well for the tyrants then, and it won’t now. If you haven’t noticed all firearms have left the shelves and all of the ammo is ready at hand. Go ahead and march against The LOVER OF FREEDOM “THE AMERICAN” It will be a wonderful thing to wake up the next morning and see that the American has embraced the 2nd Amendment and preformed the nessary duty.

A friend that lives in MO tells me they have a veto proof Republican majority. I’m sure this is cover for the libs to introduce legislation like this and sit back and dream big. Unfortunately I just sat through two days of committee meetings here in Clorado, they were called that any way, and watched factually ignorant, arrogant politicians pass 4 bills on a 7-4 straight party vote. They looked down their noses at the opposition and regardless of facts and the County Sheriff’s opposition passed all 4 bills and the votes start tomorrow. They presented the bills last Thursday and committee meetings were held yesterday and Tuesday in order to suppress any opposition. House Bill 1224 – Bans magazines with a capacity greater than fifteen rounds for rifles and pistols and greater than eight rounds for shotguns. House Bill 1226 – Repeals current law allowing individuals with a concealed carry permit to carry a firearm for self-defense on a college or university campus. House Bill 1228 – Imposes a “gun tax” for a background check when purchasing a firearm. House Bill 1229 – Criminalizes the private transfer of a firearm.
The deck is rigged here because the Democrats hold all three branches of the government. These bills are coming to a town near you….. Don’t wait for them. Get pro active and raise hell now because it really is getting too late.

Very scary about America when you have elected leaders that are sworn in to uphold the Constitution introduce bills to take individual rights away from law abiding citizens. Who in their right mind votes for individuals like this? A very black day in Missiouri indeed! So hard to believe.
