It’s no secret that rock musician Ted Nugent has disdain for President Barack Obama’s policies. The outspoken conservative recently attended the State of the Union Address, later dismissing the president’s gun control proposals as “more nonsense” that will do little to save American lives. Following the speech, NBC’s Luke Russert interviewed Nugent and, on Wednesday, MSNBC’s Martin Bashir analyzed the exchange, accusing the rocker of having an “obsession with fecal matter.”
Bashir brought Russert, Democratic strategist Julian Epstein and Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart on his show to discuss Nugent’s presence at the State of the Union and to dissect the somewhat contentious interview that Russert conducted with the musician.
At the start of the segment, Bashir showed portions of the dialogue. In the short clips, Nugent commented about his recent claim that Rep. Jim Langevin (D-R.I.) has “s**t for brains” and the rock star also joked that he had “s**t” his pants in an effort to get out of his interview with Russert.

After the reporter explained his back-and-forth with Nugent, Bashir turned his questioning to Capehart.
“Jonathan, Mr. Nugent appears to have some kind of obsession with fecal matter. Is this, do you think, a personal fetish or a personal problem?”
Capehart responded with, “Oh Lord, Martin,” then he proceeded to say that he thought Nugent’s presence in the chamber at the State of the Union was problematic and that it was representative of the poor state of public debate in America.
“I think it was reprehensible for him to be in the chamber,” Capehart said. “His presence there only — it sort of highlights just how coarse our political discourse has become.”

Feb. 15, 2013 at 11:39amWhat the Blaze should do is compare other networks newscasts and topics at the same time as PRAVDA shows and compare the ratings at that same time as well.
Point would be made in $ and sense…and would go viral enough that the advertisers would realise they’re not getting value for money

Feb. 15, 2013 at 12:31amThis illustrates the mythical “tollerance” of other opinions by the Left.
They think it’s abhorant that someone like Nuggent would attend the speach…. WHY? Because he’s an NRA member (hint, lots of Americans are NRA members). Because he doesn’t agree with them? Because they don’t like they way he’s used his right to free speach???
It’s a sad day when all people from all sides of the issue aren’t allowed the same rights. When people on the other side are expected to stay away from the speach.
They claim no cabinet nominee has ever been filibustered… I remember Hillary Clinton fillibustering the Bush’s nomation of Mike Leavitt to head the EPA (held up his nomination until she got the $$$ she wanted for NYC people complaining of health issues from bad air after 9/11. Have you ever heard of Robert Bork and how Democrats treated him? Democrats can get off their high-horse on this one.

Feb. 14, 2013 at 7:46pmMartin. It is called copraphagia. You have one of the worst cases of it. You are an Obama supporter. The House chamber is always filled with problematic people. For God’s sake, look who we have elected! Course! The political dialogue is coarse. Boo hoo. Mikey Moore and his kick’em in the nut sack ad for Obama. Two words. Bill Maher. The best part of that guy ran down his father’s leg. The Left is a perfect example of why cousins should not have kids together. I cannot help but see when the Dems caucus, of that episode on “X Files” of the in-bred family. Whoa!
Keep on going Nug! Wammer jammer!!!!

Feb. 14, 2013 at 7:07pmWe have all s**t our pants unless you were born toilet trained. Al Broker s**t his pants in the Whitehouse. Mr. Nugent was there as a guest just like over 500 other people. If it OK for illegal aliens, victims of tragic shootings, and our legislative pedophiles, why is Mr.Nugent’s presence such a newsworthy event.

Can’t happen in America? It already has to some extent. WWII, Japanese Americans were rounded up and placed in Internment Camps by only an Executive Order.
With guns, we are citizens. Without them, we are s

Feb. 14, 2013 at 5:49pmPoor little Martie can’t stand people who disagree with his Glorious Leader, how disappointing for him. I can solve his problem, he can pick himself up, grab Piers Morgan by the hand, and they can get themeslves off to where they came from. It’d make them happy, unless they find happiness in being upset about “flyover” America, and it’d definitely make a lot of Americans happy too.
Or little Martie, if he’s man enough, HA, could challenge Ted to a duel using any weapon of his choice. His intellect should definitely not be his choice since it’s been shown to be abysmally small.

Feb. 14, 2013 at 5:19pmWhat’s reprehensible is having these idiots discussing a topic of which they know nothing about. The “Motor City Mad Man” knows all about the 2nd Amendment, something these fools do not.
Nugent is right – these libiots do have “**** for brains”! Ted not only has disdain for “Dumbo’s” policies but contempt for the pissant himself.

Feb. 14, 2013 at 4:58pmMartin Bashir is another puppet whore for the progressive movement. No credibility since there anlysis was all one sided. Let me give you some contrast: Ted Nudgent is correct, these policies will not save any lives – end of story! I think these folks who come into our country and want to change our individual rights by trashing the constitutions should go back to their own country. They have nothing better to do than repeat the same old garbage over and over. And, MSM looks for these whores for the progressive movement. This is all big money and agendas – watch your back!
