Denver School Principal Backpedals After Sending Out Tutoring Signup for ‘Students of Color’ Only

An elementary school principal in Colorado is backpedaling after signup sheets sent home indicated an afterschool tutoring program was for children of color only.

The tutoring program at Mission Viejo Elementary in Aurora, Colo. is part of PASS, a district-wide initiative meant to “address the needs that children of color may need,” Cherry Creek School District spokeswoman Tustin Amole told KCNC-TV in Denver.

But the tutoring is open to all students, despite a note to parents sent last week that specified it was for “students of color.” That infuriated parent Nicole Cox, whose 10-year-old daughter is white and needs tutoring. Cox told KCNC she felt her daughter was being left out of the program because of her race.

“I just want every single person to be treated equally,” Cox said.

In a letter to parents this week, Mission Viejo principal Andre Pearson said he wanted to “express my regret” for the earlier communication describing the tutoring program with PASS, which stands for Parents of Academically Successful Students.

“The PASS committee is focused on partnering with the principal to close the racial achievement gap,” Perason wrote. “However the tutoring program is open for all students, regardless of race/ethnicity, and on a first come, first served basis…I am equally concerned about the success of all students who attend our wonderfully diverse school.”

Amole apologized for what the district said was the principal’s mistake.

“We deeply regret that they got that communication,” she said.

The problem for this principle is he got caught. It would be a lttle different if it was an isolated incident but there are too many of these stories for me to believe it was an accident. Our public school system has been infiltrated by progressives from the top down. This is how they are taught to think when they go to college to get their teaching degrees. It is only natural that we are now seeing more and more of this kind of thinking showing up in programs and policies. Progessivism teaches white people are oppressors and people of “color’ are all victims.Since this ideology was invented, progressivism also known as marxism has destroyed every society that has adopted it. Marxist have realized there is no way to destroy America from the outside so they will “change” us from the inside. What this principle did was no accident.

The federal government forces employees to chant racist slogans against whites. The schools exclude whites from tutoring. The justice department is blind to racism at the voting polls when the victims are white. It goes on and on..

Why wasn’t he fired? A principal calling for the tutoring of only white students would have been sacked, and rightly so.

hmm this school is right by my parents house. Back in high school my girlfriend and I used to chill in the parking lot on weekends to smoke a bowl. Its funny though that this isn’t an exactly minority heavy area, it’s mostly white families that live around there, at least it was like that 4-5 years ago.

Minorities have had the upper hand in most things since the civil rights debacle passed by LBJ and the democrats (and republicans). They passed affirmative action and this gave blacks first shot at jobs and colleges. They could not fail them even though their grades were atrocious. Now, because they feel enabled by obama…, they blatantly discriminate against us and have it on paper. Until white people unite and take to the streets in protests we will continue to be pushed. The people who wanted civil rights will never give it to us without war;….and that is coming.

i think we should go back to separate schools, there are many black teachers in the schools that are so anti white they should not be teaching many can not read or spell also many kids should be in trade schools not college the colleges have yurned into seconday schools because of many kids of all races do not belong there, they are not intelligent when did it change to send dumb kids to college

typical govt. run agency,the spokeperson for the school district apoligizes,saying the PASS PROJECT IS FOR STUDENTS OF COLOR,and wants fairness for all students,and it’s the principals fault for distributing the flier.
if i were a tax-payer in this school district,i would surely be at the next school board meeting,and have questions to ask.
1.why do these students need tutoring,are the teachers not qualified?
2.is this just a way to pass students on to next class,then need more tutoring next year?
3.was their another shift of seiu cafeteria staff put on for serving after-school dinners,and a few more part-time public sector-union teachers put in to fill out their retirement needs?
4.why is it that students that don’t qualify for next grade level,just leave back a year,in my day this happened all the time,this is elementary classes,if they were in high school there maybe a stigma attached,not in elementary school.
5.god only knows their are plenty of children in america,of all colors that need tutoring,and plenty of other help,but they don’t need to come out of high-school illiterate,as is happening more,and more.
it’s your tax-dollars,find out why they need more of it.

Statistically he is correct. Even though he may have misspelled something doesn’t make his point any less valid. Do white people still misspell? Obviously, do some still need assistance with tutoring? Of course. However, as a whole, minorities are at the bottom of pile. Not all minorities of course, but as a whole, statistically, they are. Minorities are given AA and other advantages and yet fail to take advantage of them, or take them for granted. It’s unfortunate, this is some of the cause of the rampant crime in most inner cities where you find minorities living. They emulate those that have “raised” them. Why should they bust their tail in school and work hard to find a job that they have to put effort in everyday to EARN an income when they can just sit at home, get drunk and stoned, and have the government give them free healthcare, food stamps, and a welfare check? This is what they are taught at home, this is where the problem starts. Unfortunately, it is not where the problem ends.

Thats cute but you miss a basic fact.White people get the most $$ from welfare not black people. Also the military are the biggest recipients of foodstamps, not balc people. So for all of your crying about blacks with welfare and good stamps it doesnt match basic facts.

Even if the kept the language “students of color” in it, I don’t see what would preclude Caucasian students from signing up. Are they devoid of all “color?” I have a black friend who refers to us as “pinks.” So, there you go….

What the district spokesman meant to say was”Principal Pearson made a big mistake letting our true agenda out to the public”. The principal is a dumbass and will be disciplined and we will go on with our stealth racist anti white agenda.

As a college prof, I have seen FFI, ADD, and just plain sloppy from the entire spectrum of students. It is a product of the school system expecting everyone to achieve their personal Gold Star. Tutoring is a growing side business of a lot of part timers like me ;)

  The big picture here is, us whites are getting replaced and few of us realize this.
  
  A few hundred years ago we controlled the world, today we can’t even control a elementary school and of course the school has to have a Hispanic name, so the replacing English with Spanish starts early, then they replace the students from whites to colored.
  
  Not until America turns into Zimbabwe, where white farmers are pulled out of their homes and killed, will white Americans realize this.
  
  A few years ago I heard a white women on the BBC say that she voted for the black government of South Africa, back when SA white rule fell to blacks, then that women looked into the camera with astonishment and disappointed and said she was surprised with the very high rise of crime – WOW ! really ! shocking who knew ?

The minority health commission in my state has a picture on it’s website that say’s it all. It has a picture of a Black, Hispanic, and Asian child. The goal of the commission is to help out with the disparity of minorities. Well if you add up the Black, Hispanic, and Asian Americans then you reach a majority. However, the Asians and Hispanics don’t utilize the resources as much as Blacks do. The point is that the Obozo zombies, are building a domestic Army of, leftist storm troopers. These storm troopers are all Black, Asian, or Hispanic. Ozero white leftist’s are included. The left are building a domestic army of Black, Brown, Asian and Hispanics to fight against the White power. This is nothing more than public enemy’s song Fight the Power. Obozo just wants “Race for the Top” and boondoggle edumacational indoctrination centers to catch up the Hispanics Black and Muslim’s. As the Asians grades count toward the Minorities average too.   @Brasil2520 Interesting perspective on what is has always been correctly identified as the result of white flight from the cities. The problem in many cities is that they failed to do what Atlanta and many forward thinking southern cities did by extending their corporate boundaries well out into the suburbs. Virtually every state supreme court has struck down the local real estate tax as a means of funding education, which is without question a fundamental right of all citizens. Would love to see the average suburban white student reach the same performance level or potential in an inner city school. Take a few mins to go visit one and then compare it and contrast it with suburban schools, which of course also receive federal and state aid for operations and buildings.

  My friend, for 100 years America and for the last 20 years Europe also have been pouring money into Haiti, all this money and Haiti ( before/after the earthquake ) still looks like a bomb hit it, chronic crime, Haiti has the highest rate of rape per capita, second to – wait for it wait for it – South Africa !
  
  So wild guess you would say the problem is – the racist white man doesn’t send enough money to help Haiti – Just like in American cities that are mostly black those people have destroyed their city, yes the white man moved out to save his family from the riots, crime, rapes . . .
  
  Long before whites in this country became rich they where poor, yet we don’t see whites of the past asking for free stuff, back then you didn’t work you didn’t eat !
