Jesse Jackson Jr. Reportedly Set to Plead Guilty to Federal Charges, Could Do 4 Years in Prison

Former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is set to plead guilty to federal charges and could spend about four years in prison, according to Politico.
The ex-Illinois Democratic congressman, who resigned his seat late last year after prolonged treatment for mental illness, has been the focus of a federal criminal probe into alleged misuse of campaign dollars. Citing a “source close to the case,” Politico reported Jackson “conspired with his wife to illegally spend $750,000 in campaign funds on personal expenses, including a $43,000 Rolex watch, home renovations, fur coats and a huge array of other transactions.”
He is expected to plead guilty to charges of conspiracy, making false statements, and mail and wire fraud, and prosecutors will recommend a prison sentence of between 46 and 57 months and a $10,000 to $100,000 fine.
The plea agreement could be filed as early as Friday, Politico and CBS Chicago reported.
Jackson’s wife, Sandi Jackson, who resigned her Chicago city council seat last month, is expected to plead guilty to a tax offense, according to Politico. The Chicago Sun-Times reported last week Sandi Jackson was feeling “like she was thrown under the bus” when the investigation into Jesse Jackson split into a separate probe of his wife.

Posted on February 15, 2013 at 7:18pmDaddy Jackson shoulda oughta taught him mo’ betta’.
Daddy Jackson managed to impregnate a lover and support mother and child on Rainbow Coalition funds. The feds weren’t interested in prosecuting and Jesse even managed to send the little girl to a nice college, all on the Rainbow’s dollar. Now, that’s what made America great!

Posted on February 15, 2013 at 3:34pmRemember the rumored payola overtures for Obama’s senate seat fiasco from way back ? Blago and Jackson ? That was one of the very early media passes that Obama got ( long before F&F and Benghazi media passes ). Does this mean that Jackson said too little or too much ? Is this a pay-back by the Obama Chicago radicals or a punishment by them ? One can only wonder. And, of course, there will be no media informant to tell us what the truth was. Which will be just another Obama Media free pass . Ah, Chicago …..

Perhaps he just got caught doing something illegal and surprise, surprise the justice department didn’t give him a pass. Heck its not like he was interrogating someone using waterboarding or illegal means…. so why should he walk.

Posted on February 15, 2013 at 3:24pmThe sins of the father, like father like son, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and so goes the whole sordid story of the Jesse Jackson family. Nothing but crooks, shakedown artists, and race baiters, the whole lot of them. The real travesty is that not enough of them are going to prison.
Can’t wait to hear all the excuses the Democrats make for them. Conspiracy, making false statements, and mail and wire fraud. He doesn’t have a moral, ethical, or character problem, he has a “I just can’t do the the right thing” problem…

Talk about ‘keeping it in the family’. The value of the father, passed down to the son…lying, cheating, stealing and fake. Snake oil Reverend. Another wolf in sheep’s clothing, which most have known was, and still is, for many years. Yes, the poster family for the Democratic Party.

Checking into the hospital because we have “mental illness” wouldn’t have helped us one bit. So glad to see it didn’t help him. I guess daddy’s influence ain’t quite what it used to be, you know, with everybody realizing that he was just a crooked fraud like his buddy Al Sharpton. Both of them running around the country crying “Racism” anytime something happened to a black, whether real or made up just to line their own pockets. But I have to say this. It seems that what Jessee’s boy did should get him more than 4 years. It should get him life at least.

Posted on February 15, 2013 at 3:02pmSo once again you have another black man who feels he’s entitled to spend other people’s money. The only difference between Jackson and Obama was that Jackson’s stash of cash was donated and Obama’s stash of cash is being taken from the taxpayers. Both should be cellmates.

Posted on February 15, 2013 at 3:17pmCivil…….As much as I would like Obama to be declared the fraud that he is what do you really think the chances of that happening are? Congress and the media are complicit in the coverup. With Robert’s duplicity the Court is compromised and with Sotomeyar, Kagen and Ginsberg in Obama’s corner I don’t expect much to come of this. I have no faith in SCOTUS to do the right thing.
There is too much proof of the Obama scam and broken laws but any of us who believe this are labeled conspiracy nuts, racists or worse just like we are any time we go against the mainstream message.
This should have not been behind closed doors. We all have a vested interest in the outcome. I’ll keep a good thought though……..
